And folders or after formatting hard drives and logical partitions. Well, if accidental deletion just puts files in the "Recycle Bin" or even empties it. You can recover such data using simple utilities. But what if the disk or partition has been formatted? Now we will consider the best programs for recovering files after formatting, since such a problem is solved in a purely software way.

How are disks and logical partitions formatted?

First of all, you need to understand what the process of formatting a hard drive and its partitions is. There are two types: quick formatting (clearing the contents of the disk) and full (so-called low-level) formatting.

Immediately make a reservation that data recovery can only be done with a quick cleaning. If a full format was performed, then no program for recovering files from a hard drive will help.

Consider options for formatting disks and logical partitions. A quick cleanup of the table of contents only involves rewriting the file allocation tables. In other words, the system is given an indication that the disk or partition is empty, although in fact the deleted data is still physically present there. As well as after emptying the Recycle Bin, in the process of quick formatting, the files are renamed in such a way that they are not visible to the system, much less to the user. In this case, the first character in the file name is changed and replaced by the "$" symbol.

As for low-level (full) formatting, things are much worse here. The data on the disk is completely reset, so that no program for recovering deleted files will find absolutely nothing on it. The difference between these two processes can be illustrated with a simple example. Let's say we have some kind of foggy glass surface on which something was previously written. If the moisture simply dries, the inscription will become inaccessible. Sometimes, if you breathe on it again, the inscription may again appear. This is a quick format. If you walk on such a surface with a sponge with detergent, carefully wiping everything, no matter how hard you try, you will not see the inscription again. This is full formatting.

Of course, this is a rather rough example, however, it almost accurately reflects the formatting process. Here you need to understand that any program for recovering files after formatting can only work if the table of contents is quickly cleared.

Can files be recovered after formatting?

Naturally, after quick formatting, you can restore files. That's what file recovery programs are for. They work, in principle, based on the search for renamed files (as mentioned above), as well as on entries in the MFT (Master File Table) allocation tables, extracting the necessary byte sequences from there.

As for what exactly any program for recovering files from a flash drive or hard drive is capable of, each application of this type has its own capabilities. Some software products are designed purely for recovering multimedia files, others are exclusively for office documents, and still others can recover files regardless of type using a search by extension.

What should be done before recovery?

Before you start, say, a program for recovering deleted files from a flash drive, hard drive or logical partition, it is strongly recommended to take into account some important points. First of all, you should not use a logical drive, logical partition, or removable USB drive to which you intend to restore data to save new information. It is also advisable not to launch an Internet browser, as it may save temporary files.

The situation is such that even if the renamed deleted file is still on the disk, it can be restored. But if information is overwritten in this place (sector or cluster), then no program for restoring and formatting files will cope with its direct task, no matter how hard you try.

Further, before recovery, it is advisable to check the disk for errors or for the presence of bad sectors. Of course, you can use the standard tools of Windows OS with the task of automatically fixing system errors, but it is better to turn to professional utilities like Victoria. If there is a sufficiently severe damage to the surface of the hard drive, you will have to seek help from the unique HDD Regenerator program, which is able to restore damaged sectors by remagnetization.

Recuva

File recovery programs are quite diverse. They have different capabilities and purposes in terms of recoverable categories. One of the most powerful and advanced applications is Recuva.

The Recuva software product is a file recovery program from a disk, which is distinguished not only by its rich functionality, but also by its ease of use. A user of any skill level will be able to deal with it.

When launched, the application displays a window in which the types of files to be recovered (music, videos, documents, etc.) are indicated. After selecting a category, the scanning process simply starts. In this case, the application requests the location of the files it is looking for. If there is no absolute certainty, or the user simply does not remember exactly where the files were previously located, you can use a string that indicates that the location is unknown.

At the end of the scanning process, a complete list is issued, which indicates the status of the deleted file. In this case, you can restore only those files whose status is marked as "Good". Among the advantages of the application, it is worth noting that it has a preview function, but the disadvantage is the fact that you can select only one from the list of categories at a time.

Please note that during the recovery process it is better not to use the original location where the desired file was stored. It is better to use a removable hard drive or any other USB media and specify the path to it.

By the way, although it is believed that no program for recovering files from a hard drive gives a 100% guarantee of successful recovery, this application is capable of a lot. And, as practice shows, it even restores some files that other programs simply ignore because of their poor condition.

Pandora Recovery

There is another interesting program. You can recover deleted files from your hard drive using the Pandora Recovery application.

The application is quite simple. The very same program for recovering files after formatting is designed exclusively for hard drives and logical partitions with FAT32 and NTFS file systems. Although the application can work with removable USB media such as ordinary flash drives, and even more so with memory cards (as stated by the manufacturer), it often refuses to do so.

On the other hand, among the pluses, one can note the presence in it of a special “Wizard”, which allows you to configure the search in a few simple steps. The search, however, is quite slow, so you have to wait. In general, this utility is designed more for beginners than for experienced users.

Undelete Plus

An interesting solution is the simple application Undelete Plus. Despite its apparent simplicity, it can be used, for example, as a program to recover deleted files from a flash drive or memory card of any format.

When launched, the program scans the selected disks or partitions, and then displays a complete list of files that can be recovered. A feature of this application is that you can set a custom custom filter in it, which will sort the data by type or, say, by the date of deletion or the place of initial saving.

PC Inspector File Recovery

As already mentioned, file recovery programs are presented quite widely. And one of the most powerful utilities is PC Inspector File Recovery.

It will be difficult for an ordinary user to deal with it the first time, but experienced users can appreciate all the opportunities that this software package offers. No wonder, because the application can work with FAT12/16/32 and NTFS file systems. Among other things, the program easily recovers information from SATA and IDE hard drives by scanning at the sector level. This approach allows you to find absolutely all fragments of files that have survived after formatting, which cannot be determined by conventional scanning. Naturally, this application can also be used as a program for recovering files from a USB flash drive. For example, recovering photos from a memory card of a modern camera using this utility is as simple as possible.

Free Undelete

Free Undelete is another free app to recover lost data. The program is one of the most primitive and is designed only for FAT32 and NTFS file systems.

Unfortunately, the preview function is not presented here, and the restoration of several files at once is not provided. In each individual case, manual confirmation is required, that is, it simply will not work to select several files at a time. But in extreme cases, for novice users, the application will certainly be useful.

Soft Perfect File Recovery

This application is another tiny utility with a minimum size, which is convenient to store on a Flash drive.

Of course, it is far from professional utilities, but it can even work with NTFS5 file systems. Unfortunately, the program does not show the degree of damage to the deleted file. But, as already mentioned, its small size and fairly high speed make this program very popular among beginners, so to speak, in case of emergency.

Diskinternals Uneraser

Diskinternals Uneraser is one of the most powerful and interesting utilities in its field. Perhaps she doesn’t know how to scan hard drives by sector, but she easily restores data even if the hard drive “fell down”. Moreover, it starts even from damaged hard drives without any problems.

The application interface is very simple and somewhat reminiscent of the standard Windows Explorer. In addition to being able to work with many file systems, the application can also be used as a tool for creating an image of an entire logical partition.

Among the minuses, we note that this utility is paid. In addition, it simply does not work with Windows OS versions higher than XP and 2003 Server. But for other "OSes" in the case of home use, if the hard drive is damaged, it will do.

What's better?

Of course, we have not considered all file recovery programs, however, summing up, it can be noted that simple utilities are perfect for home use. But if you ask yourself the search for a comprehensive solution, when you need to take into account every little thing, naturally, it is better to use professional utilities, which were mentioned above. In general, you should just try each software product in use, and then draw your own conclusions regarding its functionality and ease of use.

When an important file is lost, a document you spent a week working on is erased, and photos have disappeared from a suddenly formatted memory card, there is no need to worry ahead of time. Deleting a file from a disk erases its description in the system. The set of bytes that made up the file stays in place until something else is written over it. So you can try to recover data using any of these applications.

Be careful if you install applications on the drive where the deleted files were located. There is a risk that the application files will be overwritten during installation. It is better to choose another partition or physical disk for installation.

A USB flash drive is not the most suitable device for permanent storage of files, but everything happens in life. And situations where valuable data that was only on it were accidentally erased happen regularly. However, in about half of the cases of grief, you can help - recover deleted files from a flash drive. Under what circumstances is this possible and how to do it, read on.

I won’t give hope in vain: the chances of successful data recovery from USB flash drives are lower than from stationary drives - hard drives of PCs and laptops and permanent memory of mobile devices. The reason is that flash drives are usually used to transfer files from one device to another. And accidentally deleted data most often turns out to be simply overwritten, sometimes even more than once. And overwriting, unfortunately, destroys information irretrievably.

Full or partial file recovery on your own is possible in the following cases:

  • The user deleted them manually.
  • The drive has been formatted using the operating system.
  • The files became inaccessible after a virus attack.
  • Files disappeared after splitting the flash drive into sections.
  • There was a logical failure of the file system: it became defined as RAW - unknown, or Windows and programs consider the entire space of the device to be unallocated.

The chances of recovery are extremely low or zero if:

  • The flash drive is physically defective - it is not detected by the computer at all or is recognized as an unknown device, access to its memory is either completely absent, or the size of the latter is several KB instead of tens of GB. The exception is relatively simple breakdowns that do not affect the controller and device memory.
  • The files were deleted using a shredder program.
  • The flash drive was low-level formatted (in fact, it was repartitioned and overwritten) or flashed (it was overwritten by the controller microcode).
  • The files are encrypted, but there is no decryption key. It may be the result of an attack by an encryption virus or user actions (encrypted, but lost the key). In the first case, it is sometimes possible to recover files if there is a suitable decryptor.

With physical and complex logical malfunctions, data recovery from flash drives is sometimes possible, but it often costs the owner very much - up to several tens of thousands of rubles (not even the result, but an attempt to restore can cost so much). Therefore, in such situations, many prefer to say goodbye to files forever.

How to increase the likelihood of success

Even if your case is classified as simple, in order to increase the chances of a successful recovery, adhere to the following rules:

  • The fewer operations were performed with the file system of the drive, the better the result. Therefore, start restoring as soon as you notice the loss of files.
  • Save the recovered data only to other physical media (computer hard drive, second flash drive, etc.).
  • Try to restore everything in one session. Do not interrupt it unless absolutely necessary.
  • If one recovery program does not help, use others. Sometimes simple free utilities are more effective than expensive paid ones. What will help in your case is impossible to know in advance, so try everything that is available.
  • If the recovery program is able to create and save images of drive file systems, be sure to use this feature. In the event of an unexpected flash drive failure or accidental overwriting before the end of reading, you can restore data from the image.

Some of the mass storage data recovery programs you may already be familiar with. Our site talked about them in an article about. Today, our collection will be replenished with seven more applications of the same purpose. Maybe just one of them will be saving for you.

R.saver

Wise Data Recovery

Wise Data Recovery is another worthy tool for recovering information from fixed and portable drives. Released in Windows version only. Like its predecessors, it works without installation on a hard drive. It has a high scanning speed and displays the possibility of recovering each found object.

If next to the file is:

  • Red circle - the data is completely overwritten, it will not be possible to restore it.
  • Yellow circle - partial overwrite, success is not guaranteed.
  • Green circle - the file is not overwritten and is recoverable.

When clicking on "green" files, if it is a picture or a document, the program shows their thumbnails (if saved). It also has the function of searching for certain types of data by keywords: pictures (imagies), audio (audios), videos (videos), documents (documents), archives (compressed files) and mail (emails).

Wise Data Recovery is a completely free application and, by the way, with Russian language support.

How to use Wise Data Recovery:

  • Unzip the archive with the program to any folder and run the executable file WiseDataRecovery.exe.
  • Select the desired media from the list and click Scan.
  • Select the files you want to recover from the list. Click the "Recover" button.
  • Specify where to save files on your hard drive.

Disk Drill

The Disk Drill utility, well known to many Mac OS X users, appeared in the Windows version some time ago. More precisely, in two: free - free, and paid - pro. Free allows you to recover up to 1 GB of information, paid - without restrictions.

Unlike the previous three applications, Disk Drill requires mandatory installation on a computer (for which it gets a minus, since this simple operation can lead to overwriting the data that the user was just about to recover). But it has a number of benefits that others do not have.

With constant use, Disk Drill keeps a record of deleted files, and also creates backup copies of them, which increases the chances of recovering them even after a while. In addition, it supports any type of storage device and almost all file systems (it knows more than 300 unique file signatures).

Disk Drill does not have Russian localization, but it is quite easy to use.

How to recover deleted files with Disk Drill:

  • Install the application on a PC and run it with administrator rights.
  • Select the USB flash drive with the deleted data from the list of media.
  • Open the drop-down list next to the Recover button, which is located opposite the flash drive, and click the desired scan type: "Run all recovery methods" (use all search and recovery methods), "Quick scan" (quick scan), "Deep scan" (deep scan ) or "Load last scanning session" (load the result of the last scan). Click the "Recover" button (or "Continue" if you have already started working with the media).
  • In the next window that opens after scanning, select the necessary files from the list, specify the location for saving them and click "Recover" again.

RS File Recovery

RS File Recovery is a paid Russian-language application. In addition to the main one - recovering information from physical drives, it is able to save and subsequently work with their images. After creating the image, the physical device with data can be turned off, since the program has already “remembered” all its contents. In addition, the application has a built-in HEX editor for manual byte-by-byte correction of files, as well as an FTP client for uploading recovered files to network resources.

After analyzing the storage device, RS File Recovery displays information about the data on it - when it was created, when it was changed, whether it can be restored. This information is displayed in the bottom pane of the window.

Unfortunately, in the free demo version of the utility, the restore function does not work, only viewing is available. The cost of a license starts from 999 rubles.

Like Disk Drill, RS File Recovery requires installation on a computer.

How to use RS File Recovery:

  • Launch the application. Select a flash drive from the list of media by simply clicking on it. All its contents, including deleted files, will be displayed in the middle part of the window.
  • Click on the item you want to restore. Information about it, including the forecast, will be shown in the panel below.
  • Drag the necessary files to the recovery list on the right side of the window and click the "Restore" button.
  • Select the save method: hard disk, CD/DVD, Internet via FTP, or conversion to a virtual ISO image.

  • Specify the destination folder on the hard drive. If you choose other save methods, follow the instructions of the assistant.

Ontrack EasyRecovery

Ontrack EasyRecovery is one of the most functional and efficient data recovery programs, the main competitor of the industry leader R-Studio. It successfully extracts data even from badly damaged media, supports all types of file systems and more than 250 file formats, creates virtual images of physical storage devices, can boot from DVD and USB flash drives, and also has a lot of other usefulness.

EasyRecovery is available in several paid editions with different feature sets. The most inexpensive - home, will cost the user $ 79 per year. Professional, enterprise and specialized (for servers) cost from $299 to $3000 for an annual license.

Despite the grandeur of the possibilities, even a novice user can use this program, since each stage of work is accompanied by a built-in assistant. It is also impossible to make a mistake because it is fully translated into Russian.

How to use Ontrack EasyRecovery:

  • Run the application (it is available in installation, portable and, as already mentioned, bootable versions). Specify the media type on which the deleted data resides.
  • Select the volume to scan (if it is a flash drive, then it usually has only one volume).
  • Select a recovery scenario. Restore objects after deletion and formatting - different scenarios. First, try the first one - it works faster, and if it doesn't help, the second one.
  • If the data is affected by a logical failure, specify one or more types of file systems that may be on the media.

  • Check again that the conditions are correct and confirm your selection. After that, the program will start scanning the flash drive.
  • After scanning is complete, select the desired objects in the list (to select several, press and hold the Ctrl key). Click the "Save" button in the top bar of the main window and specify the destination folder on your hard drive.

To create an image of a storage device and work with it in the future, after starting the program, select the device in the list of media, open the "File" menu and click "Create Image File".

Active UNDELETE

Active UNDELETE is another paid utility that successfully copes with the recovery of individual deleted objects and entire disk partitions. Supports all types of media, all file systems and over 200 different file formats. In addition to the basic task, it allows you to solve related tasks - fix partition table and boot records errors, create, format and delete disk volumes, etc. Like most paid counterparts, Active UNDELETE supports creating virtual drive images.

The demo version of the program, available for free download, has a full range of functions, but does not allow you to recover files larger than 1 Mb.

The Active UNDELETE interface is exclusively in English, but the utility is easy to use, as each action is accompanied by a wizard.

Unfortunately, it does not have a portable version. Installer only.

How to work with Active UNDELETE:

  • Run the program. Click in the first window that opens "Recover deleted files" (restore deleted files). This will launch the recovery wizard.
  • The first window of the wizard is a brief summary of the program in English. Click "Next" to move to the next step.
  • Next, select one or more devices that contain the files you need. Click "Next" and in the next window - "Scan".
  • After scanning, mark the items you want to restore and proceed to the next step.
  • Set save options - folder, filenames, rename in case of matches, etc. You can leave everything by default.

  • The last step is the restoration itself. To launch it, click the "Recover files and folders" button.

If you want to create a virtual image of a flash drive, open the "Disk image management" section in the main window and run the "Create disk image" wizard.

Hello friends! Today we have a small incident, because of which I urgently had to use free program to recover deleted files called R.saver, of course I tell you all the details, so the information may be useful to one of the readers.
I have long decided to make a review on our website with you all free programs for recovering deleted files and planned such an article, but here an ideal opportunity turned up to test another similar R.saver program in combat conditions.

R.saver is based on professional versions of very serious data recovery products UFS Explorer, site http://www.sysdevlabs.com/. The program can reconstruct damaged file systems, recover deleted files even after full formatting. You can search and restore deleted files even if the required hard disk partition is completely deleted and is unallocated space.

Free program to recover deleted files

A friend of mine has been collecting a "personal archive" for several years, consisting of favorite films, photographs, music and electronic books. All these files were located on his additional partition (F:) of the laptop, also photos of friends, operating system archive, working documents and so on were located on this section.
My friend knew that it was unreliable to store everything collected for years only on a laptop and specially bought a portable USB hard drive for his collection, connecting it to a laptop, he was going to copy the entire collection to a portable screw, went to the disk (F :), selected with the mouse all the necessary for copying folders and accidentally clicked instead of "Copy" "Cut"!

What to do next, my friend did not know, since he had never used this "Cut" function in his life, he called me and in a panic, said that all his files, collected by long and overwork, became translucent. I answered - you need to enter the USB portable hard drive, right-click on an empty space and select the "Paste" function from the menu. What happened next, my friend could not remember exactly, except for the fact that in the process of transferring files, for some reason he turned off the computer and decided to wait for me.
Arriving at his place in the evening, I turned on my laptop. Even if you turn off the computer during such a transfer, then some of the cut files should remain where they were, and the other part should be transferred to another specified location, but the result was completely different.
The laptop was missing almost all the files my buddy needed, which is about 100 GB! Most importantly, the folder called "Personal Archive" with all the archived files disappeared, only the "Home Video" folder remained. I was only able to find 5 GB of video files on a portable USB hard drive.

So, we are working, saving the collection with a free program for recovering deleted files R.saver. Let's go to R.saver official website and download it.

Note: Friends, if you want to temporarily retrain as a data recovery specialist from various media, you must follow the security rules. What are the rules?

The first rule is not to restore deleted files to the same hard drive where they were. In our case, you can connect a portable USB hard drive to your laptop and restore files there. Or you can connect a simple hard drive to a laptop using. Or, if the case is very serious, you can dismantle the laptop hard drive and connect it to a simple computer and recover deleted files with a special program, but this method, of course, is primarily for repair specialists. We launch our R.saver program.

The program is simple and in the course of work we will figure it out, in the main window you need to select from the list of sections the one on which the files were deleted. You can ask a question: - And if all of a sudden hard disk partitions are completely deleted, then what to choose and how to recover deleted information. We will also analyze such a case at the end of the article. I will delete all existing partitions from the hard disk and try to recover the deleted files located on them.
But first of all, we will choose to restore the partition (F:) of the laptop from which the files of my friend disappeared. "Disk management of our laptop", here is our section (F:),

On which there is only one folder "Home Video" remaining from the entire collection.
In the main window of the R.saver program, right-click on the F: drive and select "Search for lost data" Attentive users may notice that there is another option "Restore after formatting", later (in the appropriate situation) we will apply it.

We answer "Yes", as we want to perform a full scan of the partition (F:) for the presence of deleted files.

Performed file system reconstruction based on signatures using the IntelliRAW algorithm.

We are waiting for a little over an hour and we see that the program did not restore all the files, but oh well, more than half of the necessary files were restored, the most important thing was that the very necessary folder "Personal Archive" was restored. I did not understand one moment in the program, why the size of all files is 0 KB.
So, we are restoring the found folders with files. I wonder if the files will be readable, it happens that the information recovery program will restore the files, but they turn out to be not working.
We right-click on the folder we need to restore and select (you can click "View" before restoring and see all the files in the folder being restored). Select "Copy to...",

Explorer opens, select the folder into which we want to copy the files claiming to be restored, then click "Select",

The file recovery process begins.

Recovering deleted files after formatting Having already come home, I decided to check if the R.saver program would restore files on the hard disk partition after formatting. I want to tell you that one evening it didn’t work out and I experimented with the program for several days and looking ahead I’ll say. Unfortunately, in all experiments it was not possible to find absolutely all the lost files after formatting, the program found a lot of unnecessary files that once existed on this partition. But in general, I was satisfied with the program, do not forget that it is completely free and in Russian.

In the main window, right-click on the formatted partition and select "Restore after formatting"

The file system is reconstructed for an hour, then a search (lasting 20 minutes) for file systems on a formatted partition (50 GB in size) takes place.

In the window that appears with a list of found file systems, you need to select the file system of the type we need with a minimum positive offset, in our case it means the first one.

This hard drive belongs to another friend of mine who accidentally formatted his hard drive. So, the R.saver program found on it a bunch of century-old files and only two necessary folders.

Restoration occurs exactly the same as in the previous case, select "Copy to ...", the explorer opens, select the folder into which we want to copy the files claiming to be restored and click "Select", the file recovery process begins.

Restoring files from a hard drive that has completely deleted all partitions

And now friends, let's completely delete all partitions from the Samsung 120 GB hard drive (which we have already mocked in our articles) and see if it will be possible to recover deleted files in this case. We delete all partitions from our hard drive and run the R.saver program.

In the main window of the program, you can see that our entire 120 GB Samsung hard drive is an "Unknown Partition". Right click on it and select "Find lost partition"

Click on the "Find Now" button

Our 120GB hard drive took 40 minutes to scan. Just in case, save your search results. Among the partitions found, there are two partitions that are suitable in size to those that previously existed on this hard disk, this is a disk (C:) with a volume of 55, 24GB and a disk (G:) with a volume of 56, 43GB, tick them and click on the "Use selected" button.

The main program window opens,

We right-click on the found first partition 55, 24GB and select "View file system" (if you select "Search for lost data", the search will be repeated, but this did not work for me personally and there were no more files found).

In the window that appears, we see all the files located in the root of the disk (C:), let's try to go to the C:\Users\users\Desktop desktop and restore the files located there.

Please, all deleted files on the desktop are available for recovery. Right click on the desired folder and select "Copy to..."

In the explorer that appears, select a location on the hard drive and click "Select"

Files are being restored.

But with the disk (G:) everything did not turn out so smoothly, the program did not find the deleted files I needed.

But as I said, in general, for a free program, it worked well.

Friends, in the process of working with the R.saver program, I could miss something, I will be grateful for any help in the comments.

Each of us may well be faced with the need to extract valuable files from a damaged drive. And it doesn't matter what it is - a hard drive or a flash drive - the information stored on such a medium sometimes requires mandatory recovery.

It happens that the user simply mechanically presses the wrong key, and the program is simply deleted from the hard drive. What to do in this case?

DiskInternals Uneraser

DiskInternals Research offers users a small but quite effective utility. It is able to recover lost files on any drives and works with various file systems (FAT16, and NTFS5).

In addition, it has support for long names and allows you to restore not only sections, but also their subsections.

The first step in working with this utility is to select a logical drive or folder to be tested for deleted files. Next, you have to select the type of files you are looking for from the five groups presented.

Among them are the following:

  • Images;
  • video;
  • music;
  • the documents;
  • archive files.

Vitaly. The best that I have found among the programs of this direction. I'm surprised that, with such a small size, it works with any type of file. Like any other, it can not restore all files, but there's nothing you can do about it.

Recuva

With the installation of the program there will be no problems even for a novice user. Everything is very clear, and besides - completely in Russian.

Working with it is also quite simple. After starting the program, you will see a working window containing all the necessary tools.

In its upper left part there is a drop-down list in which you need to select the one being tested. After that, click on the "Analysis" button and wait for the end of the running process.

After it completes, you will be presented with a list of files that can be recovered. The application is quite simple and has a minimum of settings.

At the request of the user, you can configure the following settings:

  • show or hide files located in system folders;
  • whether to show files that have been securely deleted;
  • display or not files with zero size;
  • save the settings to a file with the extension ".ini" so that you can transfer them to another computer.
  • ease of use;
  • recovery of files of various formats;
  • free distribution.
  • not all files can be restored;
  • when restoring, it changes the creation date of the file.

kikichtoriya. I used the program because I accidentally deleted my term paper from the flash drive. I was shocked, but the program quickly restored everything in hot pursuit. I don’t know how it copes with finding and restoring long-deleted files, but it works great with “fresh” ones.

7 Data Recovery Suite

This utility not only supports the Russian language, but also has a fairly rich functionality.

It allows you to recover lost information not only after accidental deletion, but even when the storage medium was formatted.

Recovery Suite has a deep scan feature that allows you to detect fairly old traces of files.

It is in these footsteps that they are restored.

The working window contains several sections, among which are the following:

Advantages of 7-Data Recovery Suite

  • works with any media;
  • recovers files even after formatting;
  • the interface is simple and clear.
  • the free version has limitations.

ellimi. A very useful utility, and besides, it is quite simple. With its help, infa was restored from a formatted flash drive. The only annoying thing is that the free version has volume limitations.

Active File Recovery

This little utility works with almost all file systems.

It can work with a hard drive even if its logical structure is broken.

With its help, you can also create a disk image, so that you can then transfer it to another drive.

Recognizes any type of media - , SunDisk, CompactFlash and others.

The program is quite interesting, but requires payment.

  • work with any type of media;
  • clear interface;
  • requires a purchase.

Vadim. The program is good, but the files to be recovered should not exceed 2 gigabytes. I restored HDTV movies that weighed 4.5 GB, so they restored them in pieces of 2 gigabytes. this is, of course, depressing.

Active UNDELETE Professional

Active UNDELETE Professional, despite its simplicity, is an excellent solution for data recovery.

Having the ability to work with deleted and damaged partitions of a disk drive, it has certain features.

  • advanced hard disk scan;
  • preview files before recovery.
  • rather lengthy scanning and recovery process.

Koleon104. already tried the program at work. Satisfied with the work, so I advise.

PC INSPECTOR File Recovery

With this program, it is quite possible to recover lost data even from damaged hard drives.

It can work with file systems such as FAT and .

The nice thing is that the program restores the found files with the original information - date and time. Most of these programs do not have this feature.

The present Special Recovery function allows you to recover even those files that do not have a link from the directory. This function recognizes most popular formats - AVI, ARJ, BMP, EXE, GIF, HTML, JPG, MOV, MP3, PDF, PNG and many others.

To restore the found files, you will have to choose the most suitable option from those offered by the utility.

Never install programs of this purpose on the disk from which files will be restored.

  • the presence of three recovery modes;
  • efficient search and recovery of files;
  • fast work.
