Accelerometer(or G-sensor) - device position sensor in space. As a main function, the accelerometer is used to automatically change the orientation of the image on the display (vertical or horizontal). Also, the G-sensor is used as a pedometer, it can be controlled by various functions of the device by turning or shaking.
Gyroscope- a sensor that measures the angles of rotation relative to a fixed coordinate system. Able to measure rotation angles in several planes simultaneously. The gyroscope together with the accelerometer allows you to determine the position of the device in space with high accuracy. In devices that use only accelerometers, measurement accuracy is lower, especially when moving quickly. Also, the capabilities of the gyroscope can be used in modern games for mobile devices.
Light sensor- a sensor, thanks to which the optimal values of brightness and contrast are set for a given level of illumination. The presence of the sensor allows you to increase the operating time of the device from the battery.
Proximity sensor- a sensor that detects when the device is close to the face during a call, turns off the backlight and locks the screen, preventing accidental pressing. The presence of the sensor allows you to increase the operating time of the device from the battery.
Geomagnetic sensor- a sensor for determining the direction of the world in which the device is directed. Tracks the orientation of the device in space relative to the Earth's magnetic poles. The information received from the sensor is used in mapping programs for orientation in the area.
Atmospheric pressure sensor- sensor for accurate measurement of atmospheric pressure. It is part of the GPS system, allows you to determine the height above sea level and speed up the location.
touch ID- Fingerprint identification sensor.

Satellite navigation:
GPS(Global Positioning System - global positioning system) - a satellite navigation system that measures distance, time, speed and determines the location of objects anywhere on the Earth. The system was developed, implemented and operated by the US Department of Defense. The basic principle of using the system is to determine the location by measuring the distances to the object from points with known coordinates - satellites. The distance is calculated from the propagation delay time of the signal from sending it by the satellite to receiving it by the GPS receiver antenna.
GLONASS(Global Navigation Satellite System) - Soviet and Russian satellite navigation system, developed by order of the USSR Ministry of Defense. The measurement principle is similar to the American GPS navigation system. GLONASS is intended for operational navigation and time support for ground, sea, air and space-based users. The main difference from the GPS system is that GLONASS satellites in their orbital movement do not have resonance (synchronism) with the Earth's rotation, which provides them with greater stability.
Spade - spade (English).
Hello dear readers!
It is not always worth laughing at the word shovel. Sometimes shovels are very useful and even attractive.
I looked when I had a previous review on a smartphone. Accurate last fall. Well, once a year you can write about smartphones. Of course, I am still an expert in this field, but I will try not to write boringly. Moreover, the word shovel will be present in the text, which means you can laugh. Although, my humor is not as rich as that of many of our writers, but do not look for what nature has awarded.
According to the law of the genre, then you should write a few words about the company whose products I will colorfully describe, but for me this is the most boring paragraph. I sit, I cut circles with the mouse cursor on the screen and think about what to write here that is not boring. Without the expressions "technological leader", "innovation", "unparalleled".
Highscreen is a Russian brand... Again I cut circles with the mouse cursor. On the third lap, Hamilton had problems with the rear right wheel ... Oops! Sorry. I got distracted.
Highscreen is a Russian brand that is a technological leader among low-price smartphones. How well the phrase stuck together! True, it immediately turned out that this phrase was from the official Highscreen website and had already been written there by someone.
Let's you yourself read about the company there, and I will begin to introduce you to the hero of the review?
Also, anticipating the review, I want to say that I have already described this unit in detail and did it very well.

Packaging and equipment
I would like to express my admiration for the work of designers. Highscreen's boxes are really stylish. A combination of simplicity and elegance. Intriguing, apparently secret, drawings on the front of the box.
Despite the light brown shade of the main color, reminiscent of (not what you thought, shame on you!) the color of recycled cardboard, the box looks solid and aristocratic.
I will not describe in detail what letters and numbers are drawn, everything is already visible in the pictures. A little bit of characteristics, barcodes, a sticker with a serial number and the ubiquitous Made in China inscription.
Despite the inscription on the back that "the phone inside the package may differ from the image," I was lucky and it was the Highscreen Spade in the box, and not some iPhone 6s.
Contents of delivery:
Smartphone; - USB-microUSB cable; - Charger; - wired headset; - warranty card; - user's manual.
As you can see, there is no microscope included. And you will need it if you suddenly want to read the user manual, because it is printed in amazingly small print. However, this tomato can be addressed to all manufacturers.
The presence of a headset in the kit is a dubious plus, I will talk about its quality below.
Appearance
From above, the smartphone is completely covered with glass (Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection). In the upper part there is a slot for a speaker, a front camera eye and barely noticeable sensor windows.
There is also an indicator LED at the top. It signals battery status, missed calls and messages.
The glass has rounded edges. It looks very impressive, but because of this I had to remove the protective film that was pasted at the factory.
On the roundings, the film moved away and cracks formed, into which dust immediately began to clog.
There are no usual three buttons at the bottom. They appear at the bottom of the screen.
A decorative rim made of plastic painted to look like metal runs along the entire side surface. However, quite qualitatively painted. It's hard to tell right away that it's plastic.
Bottom microUSB and microphone hole.
There are no controls or holes on the left side.
On the right is the power button and volume rocker.
The back cover is also made of plastic and decorated under the skin. At the top left is the main camera with a flash LED.
Not the best camera position. In some frames, your fingers will appear as an unplanned background.
The positive aspects include the fact that the camera does not protrude beyond the dimensions of the housing cover.
There are a pair of speaker holes at the bottom, between which there is a small protrusion so that the speaker does not completely overlap when the smartphone is placed face up on a flat surface.
Assembled smartphone firmly. There are no backlashes, no squeaks.
Removing the back cover is not an easy task. It holds on conscience and you have to make considerable efforts, while the lid bends at unimaginable angles and it becomes scary to break it completely. However, it is made of very high quality durable plastic and it is not so easy to break it.
Under the cover everything is standard.
In the center is the battery compartment, on top are a couple of slots for SIM-cards and a slot for a memory card (I remind you that memory cards up to 32 GB are supported). At the bottom, a speaker covered with a mesh from dust.
Of course, it is inconvenient to control a smartphone with one hand with such a screen size.
But we have a wonderful big screen.
Screen
IPS matrix. Resolution 1280x720. That's not much for a 5.5-inch screen, so if you look closely, you can see the individual pixels.
The physical dimensions of the screen are 120.5 x 68 mm.
The screen has good viewing angles.
Anti-reflective properties are also good. In sunny weather, the information on it is visible.
Multi-touch supports up to five simultaneous touches.
There is an oleophobic coating. Prints, of course, remain, but the glass does not get dirty so quickly and is very easy to wipe.
Software
Android version 4.4.2.
Immediately upon first turning on, as soon as I connected Wi-Fi, the smartphone asked for permission to update over the air. The update was successful and I received firmware version L003. When checking for updates, I am told that the latest version is being used.
Although the site already has a firmware version L006 dated May 12, 2015. It can only be downloaded and installed manually. The link above has detailed instructions for flashing. It's nice that the manufacturer puts such materials on their website. Although, if your smartphone works and you are happy with everything, then you do not need to download and install anything.
I was dissatisfied. Very boring design. There is even nothing to tell.
Naked Android, no extra apps. I won’t even describe it to you, you can see it in a thousand other reviews. So I installed the MIUI v7 firmware (5.8.27).
It is installed very simply. We do everything as it is written on the manufacturer's website (link above). It is very detailed and well told, moreover, with pictures. The only caveat is that before connecting the smartphone to USB, remove the battery from the switched off device and then re-insert the battery.
The firmware worked for me.
Everything works smartly. Themes can be easily chosen, although there are many paid ones. But everything is quite easy to customize to your taste. Wallpaper, for example, you can not choose from a dozen pre-installed ones, but from a very large list.
True, there are too many people of Asian nationality, both cartoonish and with completely human faces, but yes, this disadvantage is leveled by quantity. Do not be afraid of the inscriptions in Chinese, everything will be in Russian (not always :)).
You can customize the look of the dialer and many other options.
Anyway, the description of third-party firmware is beyond the scope of this article.
If the phone is turned off, hold down the power and volume up buttons, then we get to the standard menu.
In MIUI firmware, the menu is expanded and touch control is supported.
Performance
The processor of the smartphone is quite powerful - eight-core MediaTek MT6592.
Video - Mali-450MR.
The RAM is only 1 GB, and the built-in memory is 8 GB. Of these 8 GB, almost half is already occupied by the system, so a memory card for this device is a must. Supports memory cards up to 32 GB.
Benchmarks
AnTutu System Benchmark
There are no problems with games, the hardware is powerful enough and can handle any graphics.
Need for Speed™ Most Wanted
Call of Duty: Strike Team
There is and it works. Works good. A cold start usually takes less than one minute, although this varies by location.
It is very funny to ride in a car and track the speed, which, by the way, is very similar to the truth.
Camera
Main camera module - OmniVision OV 13850.
Image resolution - 4160x3120 pixels. Video camera shoots 1920x1080, 30 frames per second. Has autofocus.
The picture quality is good.
Landscapes, of course, you can’t shoot with such a camera, but everyday scenes, all sorts of little things, the text turns out very well.
The same story with the front camera.
Front camera module - OmniVision OV 5648. Image quality is good.
Sound
The volume of the main speaker is more than enough to not miss a call even in a noisy environment. Regarding the sound quality, there are small claims. I'm not strong in acoustics, but the low frequencies are definitely not enough, and the mids are not perfect. However, in order to voice an incoming call or talk on the speakerphone, it is more than enough. The voice is transmitted perfectly, without distortion.
Complete headset. Well, do you know what is usually put in the kit? Here, this is a bright representative. You can talk with it, it functions, but is uncomfortable, looks cheap and the sound quality is suitable only for very undemanding users. In addition, I came across a headset without one rubber nozzle.
However, I was not at all upset by this fact, because I will not use it. In good headphones, the sound is very good.
Working time
Can I not write this chapter? Necessary? Right? Okay, I'll start with pain in my heart.
I don’t know what the company was guided by, equipping a not the weakest device with a 5.5 "screen and an eight-core processor with such a battery. Apparently, they wanted to make it elegant and slim. Everything turned out with elegance, it is quite elegant in the waist, but with autonomy ...
So, we have a 2100 mAh battery on board.
I have enough of this for the day. Why do you say bye? Because the battery capacity drops with intensive use very quickly. In a year, with such a smartphone, I will make short runs from one outlet to another.
The charger in the kit is very tiny, but is capable of delivering 1 A according to the manufacturer. For comparison, I will place a charger from Vertex Impress L next to it, which has the same output characteristics.
A smartphone, of course, does not consume 1 A from charging. When the battery is charging, the current is not more than 0.84 A. But these are rather the limitations of the charge controller in the battery itself, and not the charger. I didn't open it up. It will be boring for you to read about switching power supplies, and when I open the case, I will definitely break or scratch it, since repairs are not provided for such devices, they are simply replaced with a serviceable one. Nobody will change it for me, so I will not test it. She performs her functions perfectly.
In gaming mode (cyclic test Epic Citadel), the smartphone lasted 2 hours and 50 minutes. In movie mode, at 50% screen brightness and 100% volume, the smartphone lasted just over five hours.
Summary
In general, I really liked the smartphone. First of all, a large screen, strict, aristocratic appearance and powerful stuffing. Yes, the back panel could have been made more interesting, but you don’t look at it that often, do you? And in front it's just a person of royal blood.
Of the minuses, of course, the battery capacity. This is a very serious disadvantage.
If you close your eyes to this, especially since the charge should be enough for a day with not too intensive use, you can buy a smart smartphone with a large high-quality screen, powerful stuffing, attractive design for just some 11,000 rubles.
Pros:- manufacturing quality; - 5.5" screen; - good main and front cameras; - high performance.
Minuses:- not enough memory; - low battery capacity.
Many thanks to Highscreen and DNS for the opportunity to test the smartphone.
Safe communication, your Sancheas.

A metal frame, a tactilely pleasant "under the skin" backdrop, Google Android 4.4 (the developers climbed their fingers minimally, there are only a couple of presets and to the point), a large colorful display, efficient cameras and a long battery.

The screen suits. 5.5 inches for work is what you need. Good sound. Good case: aluminum spacer at the ends and plastic under the skin (does not slip, does not get dirty, does not creak). Strong 4 batteries. Five would be for autonomy for more than 2 days. Five of the camera. I took a picture of the text, put it in the lingua for processing, as a result, the output text requires minimal modifications. Convenient placement of buttons (turning on and blocking is on the side, no need to painfully stretch your fingers). Decent behavior of the processor. In any programs, whether it's remote with the transmission of a digital signal, whether it's ssh.

After the iPhone 4, it’s too big for me (I can’t get used to it), the sound of the speaker is some kind of squeaker, when connected to Wi-Fi, it eats a lot of battery, and when 3G is connected, the battery does not discharge much (paradox). The location of the lock and volume buttons is not convenient, why would they be placed next to each other, it is not at all convenient. The 13 megapixel camera does not smell at all, the pictures are obtained as on 4 Athos. The rear cover is very difficult to remove.
