The task of the utility is to connect and disconnect mods directly to the game. You can download it on the official website. During the installation of the utility, you must also select the folder in which the SHIFT, otherwise using modifications will have no effect.

After installation, you need to run the utility with the file JSGME.exe, as a result, a folder will appear in the directory with the game MODS, in which the mods themselves will be placed directly, or rather the contents of the downloaded archives, which represent the modifications.

As can be seen from the figure, the program has two windows. The first (left) shows the available mods, the right - installed (activated). Activation of available mods is carried out by pressing the corresponding buttons:

1. Unpack game archives. Download the UPC patch from the author ermo. The contents of the archive are placed in root folder games and run the UCP_s2u_unpacker.cmd file.

Unpacking the game can take up to 1 hour. Do not under any circumstances interrupt it.

2. Now we activate the unpacked version of the game. To do this, open JSGME.exe, which is located in the root folder of Shift, select Shift 2 Unpacked and click on the arrow (activate). Activating an unpacked Shift may take up to 20 minutes.

3. Create a shortcut from which we will launch the game, and in the properties of the shortcut in the object field, add "-loose" to the very end without quotes and with a space. Run the game only from this shortcut!

The game is ready to install mods. Now let's talk about the installation order and pitfalls.
Mods for are placed in the Mods folder in the root directory. When adding a new car, you need to change three files (just in case, make a backup):
- SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED /vehicles/ vehiclelist.lst responsible for the appearance of cars in the game
- SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED / vehicles / physics / tires / tires.xml responsible for the physics of car tires

From the ReadMe file we take the lines that need to be entered into the files vehiclelist.lst, tires.xml, hud_vehicles.xml, enter them and save the changes. Now open JSGME.exe from the root directory of the game. We see our mod there in the left column (Smart line). Select it and click "activate". After activation, close JSGME.exe. Those were glorious times. Constant calls on Skype, communication with those who were in the first team, the adoption of new teammates, a lot of positive at gatherings and all in the same Skype. Even seemingly trifles like playing poker, mafia, etc. in contact. It was actually great! And I can't even believe that so much time has passed. For 10 years, Garage has shown that it can endure many hardships while remaining in the ranks. There were also unpleasant moments when there was a question of closing with an edge, but by common efforts they did not let this come true. For such a long period, we really have outlived more than one Internet resource, outlived all competitors, received a lot of positive moments from communicating with each other.

I believe that HFG has made an invaluable contribution not only to the TDU game world (mostly to it), but also to communication, relationships between people, and even, probably, some worldview of people. After all, we, teenagers, talked and took an example from older guys. I have always watched with curiosity how our, I'm not afraid of the word, leader - Alexander, resolved many disputes in calm tones, in a diplomatic style. I also remember situations when everyone had to put aside diplomacy together. Yes, of course, now many of the old guard do not go to the site, they have disappeared from sight. Yes, and I, to be honest, communicate only with units. But, then, when I first got here, I remember Igor's instructions, I remember his help to me both in gatherings and acclimatization in the club. It was from his submission that they thought about my candidacy in this team. I remember Arthur, who often came up with great ideas. I remember what mods Alexander did, which the entire gaming community then drooled over. And they were only with us. I remember the others, without whom it would have been a completely different story.

The old days, as they say now, are tube. I miss a lot, I miss a lot ... And, let's see, maybe it will turn out to see someone else live.
