In today's tutorial, I'll show you how to create an amazing Spider-Man collage in Photoshop. We'll use a black and white city as the background for our hero, and then add the spider itself. After that we will change everything using adjustment layers and finish the collage by adjusting the lighting effects using the Lighting Effects filter.

1. Add a city
Step 1
Create a New Document in Photoshop with Dimensions Height(Height) 1200 px and Width(Width) 1366 px.
Step 2
Place the image of the city in the main document through the menu File > Place Embedded(File > Place Embedded). You can also use TransformTool(Free Transform) (Ctrl + T) to rotate it or align it with the main document. But try placing the biggest building on the scene like I did below:
Step 3
Convert the city image to Smart Objects(Smart Object). Go to menu Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur(Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur) and set Radius(Radius) 1 px. This will add more visibility to our theme, and if you want to blur the city more, just increase the radius value.
The result is shown below:
Step 4
Now we will colorize the city using adjustment layers. Create an adjustment layer Hue /Saturation (Color tone/ Saturation) by clicking on the third icon at the bottom of the layers panel.
Check the box colorsize(Toning) to colorize the city image with the following settings:

We continue to colorize the image of the city using an adjustment layer. Curves(Curves). So create an adjustment layer Curves(curves) and use Red(Red) and Blue(Blue) channels to add blue and yellow tones. Here you can see the values used:

2. Adding our hero
Step 1
Download file spidermanpsd and open it in Photoshop. Move Spiderman into the main document using the tool Move Tool (V)(Move). Now adjust the position of the spider as shown below.
Step 2
Create an adjustment layer colorBalance(Color Balance) for the layer with spider-man and change the values Midtones(Midtones) to add yellow tones to Spiderman. You can see the image below for your reference. Don't forget to set this layer as a clipping mask.

Dodge&Burn. Fill this layer with 50% gray and set the blend mode to overlay(Overlap) Opacity(opacity) 100%. Don't forget to set it as a clipping mask.
Activate the tool BurnTool(Dimmer) (O). Install Range(Range) on Midtones(mid tones) and exposure(Exposed) about 9-10%. Now refine the shadow on Spiderman with BurnTool(dimmer). Just go over the places where you think they will be less illuminated by the light source (I'm trying to create light from the upper left corner), the main thing is not to overdo it. You can see how I did it in both modes.
If you like, you can also use DodgeTool(Dodge) (O) to refine the light, but there is already enough light on Spiderman, so I only used BurnTool(Dimmer).
3. Final correction
Step 1
It's time for the final correction. Create an adjustment layer color lookup(Color search) on top of all layers. Use the Candlelight.CUBE filter to change the color of the entire scene.

Create a new layer and name it Light. Set the foreground color to #644C19. Take brush tool(Brush) (B). Now draw the light source as shown below. Just paint a big spot with the brush.
Set the blend mode Linear Dodge(Linear Dodge). Result:

Create an adjustment layer selectivecolor(Selective color correction). Change the values yellows(Yellow) and Neutrals(Neutral) colors:

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+E to merge all layers into one layer. Go to menu Filter > Render > Lighting Effects(Filter > Render > Lighting Effects) and adjust the light spot as shown below:

On the filter layer mask lighting effectss(Lighting Effects) I masked the effect in the selected area because I don't want to see a lot of light there. Use a soft black brush to mask the effect:

And finally I increased the contrast a bit using an adjustment layer. Levels(Levels).
