Alcatel 3C looks nice and moderately original, at least in blue.
From the front, the smartphone looks faceless - this is an elongated screen that has already become typical. You can’t call Alcatel 3C frameless, even with a stretch - there are frames on all sides and not the thinnest. There are no separate control buttons, only touch and on the screen. There is nothing more to note here, only a flash eye at front camera which looks rather unusual.
The back of the device looks more distinctive, mainly due to the concentric circles that radiate from the round fingerprint scanner. Here you can also note the camera lens with a light frame around the perimeter and speaker holes.
The location of the controls is typical - the volume rocker on the right, and under it the power key with a relief texture. On the left you can see the card tray. At the bottom there is a micro-USB 2.0 connector, and at the top there is a connector for .
Dimensions of new items - 161 × 76 × 7.9 mm, weight - 169 grams. Not very thick, but quite heavy, it is noticeably inferior to more expensive ones, but not far behind given the difference in screen sizes. Apparently, the case is plastic, but not collapsible, although this is not yet known for certain.
Alcatel 3C will be available in three colors: black, gold and blue.
Screen
Not much is known about the screen: the newfangled 18:9 format, IPS-matrix and HD + resolution (1440 × 720 pixels). For a 6-inch diagonal, this is not much, the pixel density is 268 per inch. This means that up close you will see roughness in the image. The manufacturer does not say anything more about the screen of the device, most likely, there is simply nothing, and even a pity - after all, this is one of its main features.
cameras
Alcatel 3C is far from being a camera phone - quite a few simple cameras at 8 and 5 MP (with interpolation up to 13 and 8 MP, respectively). These are modest permissions, even for this level. Interpolation is not good, but it's good that the manufacturer honestly admits this. Nothing else has been announced about the cameras, only autofocus for the main camera and flash for both cameras at once.
Communications
The set of communications Alcatel 3C can be called frankly modest, even for a modern state employee:
- simple Wi-Fi b/g/n, with hotspot
- 3G support
- Bluetooth 4.2
- A-GPS.
There is no information about FM radio, as well as support for LTE. But, judging by the declared chipset, LTE does not smell here, which today looks sad even for a cheap smartphone. The Alcatel 3C is said to have two SIM slots, but it's not clear if the memory card claims to be a second SIM.
Battery
The manufacturer promises that the smartphone will last for a day of active use. This sounds plausible, since the phone is not the most clear screen and poor performance. The battery capacity is not bad for a state employee - 3000 mAh, it will not be surprising if the smartphone can work for two days. For comparison, at - 3000 mAh, and at only a little more - 3340 mAh.
Performance
From Alcatel 3C you can not expect high performance. The phone uses a chipset entry level- MT8321 (four cores at 1.3 GHz), besides, already stale, announced back in 2014. If this is not a mistake or a typo in the announcement, then this is still some kind of misunderstanding - by the standards of the mobile industry, this is already " last century". This can be understood by such indirect signs as the absence LTE support, and the fact that the chipset pulls cameras with a resolution of only up to 8 MP. In 2018, that just sounds crazy. Add 1 GB here random access memory and get ready to go back a few years, when inexpensive Android smartphones slowed down and thought about almost every action.
Peculiarities
Alcatel 3C is also running its own interface. The phone does not have any features, only a fashionable screen and a concentric pattern on the back, which already distinguishes it from state employees.
Memory
The permanent memory in the smartphone is not so small - 16 GB, but only one GB of RAM, for 2018 this is very modest. Do not forget about the slot for microSD format (you can add up to 128 GB).
Price
The start of sales of Alcatel 3C is expected in the second quarter of 2018. In Italy, it will be sold at a price of 129 euros, or about 9,000 rubles. Similar prices can be expected in Russia.
