In fact, there is only one criterion (with the exception of the selected screen size of 15 inches) - the video card is not worse than the GTX 1050 or, in extreme cases, the GTX 950M. Let's start with a not-so-gaming laptop. He's playful...but still not very. A bunch (i5 7200U or i7 7500U) and a GTX 1050 video card with 2 GB of memory (only this is installed), combined with a FullHD screen and the ability to use an SSD, pulls on a good multimedia laptop, but still does not reach the gaming level.

The body is made partly of aluminum, but, in my opinion, this is not enough reason to ask for a minimum of 58,000 rubles. for the youngest modification (without SSD and OS). The top version with 16 GB of memory and a 128 GB SSD for almost 80,000 rubles. looks weird.

MSI PE62

Another ambiguous model. Compared to the previous one, the set of processors has changed, or rather, only the i7 7700HQ is used. Video card - the same GTX 1050, with 2 or 4 GB of memory. True, there are modifications with a minimum amount of video memory on sale.

There can be no complaints about the performance of the laptop, except for the gaming one. Not only is the graphics chip entry level, and also truncated. A laptop for those who need a computer, "...to also play a little."

Prices start at about 64,000 rubles. for a "bare" modification without a solid state and OS. The most complete option is close to 90,000 rubles. I see no arguments in favor of this model, even in the basic version.

MSI GP62M-7RDX

Quite an extensive family, which includes many modifications. Processors - proven i5 7300HQ or i7 7700HQ. Video card - 1050 in two versions, with 2 and 4 GB of video memory.

MSI GP62M-7RDX comes with two screens, both with FullHD resolution (1920x1080), but with different matrices. About one of them on the site it is said that it is “IPS-Level”, but you should not be deceived, because this is the same TN screen.

One of the matrices used is INNOLUX ChiMei N156HGE-EAL. Brightness - 200 cd / m 2, contrast - 500:1. Response time - 3 ms. The matrix is ​​very ordinary, hope for quality image difficult, although, oddly enough, the color gamut exceeds sRGB.

With drives, the situation is familiar, in addition to the standard hard drive with a capacity of 1 TB, you can additionally install (or already installed in expensive modifications) an M.2 SSD form factor.

The simplest modification of a laptop with i5 7300HQ, 8 GB of memory, hard drive, video card with 2 GB of video memory, no SSD and OS (MSI GP62M 7RDX-2098 variant) can be found for less than 55,000 rubles. The 7RDX-1662 modification costs almost the same, differing only in a full-fledged video card with 4 GB of memory. This option is clearly preferable. For a future upgrade, it's just great.

Separately, it should be said about several modifications, the cases of which are decorated with logos World games of tanks. A feature of these laptops is the use of a video card with only 2 GB of video memory. Apparently, this volume is enough for this game, and the painted case is more important.

The minimum cost of a modification with an i7 7700HQ processor is estimated at about 60,000 rubles. At the same time, there will still be no SSD or OS. Is the laptop worth the money? On the one hand, a more powerful video card with 4 GB of memory, a “gentleman's” set of upgrade options (SSD M.2, memory), on the other hand, the same unimportant screen. Perhaps an overpayment of 3-4 thousand rubles for a basic modification makes sense, but the speed of the video card is not so different from the usual GTX 1050, and whatever one may say, even with a “titanium” vidyuhi it is still an entry-level gaming laptop.

MSI GP62MVR-7RF

Let's go to the next level. We figured out the GTX 1050, now we are waiting for the GTX 1060. In this model, there are video cards with 3 and 6 GB of video memory. The processor is a non-alternative i7 7700HQ, which is perhaps for the better. With drives, everything is also traditional, a terabyte “hard drive” and an optional M.2 SSD are used.

As many as 3 displays have been announced, but they are all with FullHD resolution and all with TN matrices. According to the tests of this laptop, which, oddly enough, are quite few, we can assume that the screens are not bad for their class, and it is quite possible to put up with the image. You will have to take into account the presence of a plastic case and not the most rigid design.

The cost of a minimal modification with a full-fledged video card, without OS and SSD, but with 16 GB of RAM, is about 80,000 rubles. Adding a couple of thousand, you can get an OS and a 128 GB SSD, but with a reduction in memory to 8 GB.

In my opinion, a worthy proposal. Yes, the video card cannot be ranked among the top ones, but it is still too early to attribute it to the “entry-level”. The option with an OS and a full 6 GB of video memory, even without an SSD, for about 83,000-85,000 rubles. obviously more attractive than for the same money MSI PE62 with a frail video card.

MSI GE62-6QE(6QF)

These models are still on sale, differing in the video card used. The 6QE has the GTX 965M and the 6QF has the GTX970M. Processors - i5 or i7 6th generation.

There is not much point in saying something about these laptops. These models have been on the market for quite some time, but the price (from about 85,000 to more than 110,000) is at the level of comparable or even more productive options of new generations. It is not interesting, and only the presence of sales, discounts or any serious gifts "in the load" can attract attention.

MSI GE62VR-7RF

A model that already uses aluminum in the manufacture of the case. Processor - i7 7700HQ, video card - GTX 1060 in two versions, with a reduced and full amount of video memory. On sale are mainly modifications with 3 GB of video memory. Everything else is as usual: HDD, SSD M.2 (optional).

Two different screens are used, both with a resolution of 1920x1080, as indicated on the manufacturer's website, IPS-level. The same TN matrix, but with improved characteristics.

Prices start at about 89,000 rubles. for upgrading from a 128 GB SSD and a pre-installed OS. The maximum equipment easily exceeds 100,000 rubles.

A controversial model, primarily due to a video card with 3 GB of memory. This is not to say that it is difficult to come to terms with this, but at this level, compromises are no longer necessary, and I would like to have full-fledged, not truncated components. Aluminum, a good screen - these are undoubtedly pluses, but the strange savings on video memory raise questions. In the end, even if more plastic, but no less "fancy" GP62MVR-7RF seems to be the best choice.

MSI GS63-7RD(7RE)

This model has two main differences - it is a thin, less than 20 mm case and IPS matrix. Prior to this, the considered models used exclusively TN screens, in some cases referred to as IPS-level. In this case, the LG Phillips LP156WF6 matrix is ​​used.

The processor is the seventh generation i7, but the graphics card in the 7RD variant will use the GTX 1050 exclusively with 2 GB of video memory. 7RE uses GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB. The case is aluminum.

The cost of the GS63-7RD laptop with a 128 GB SSD and pre-installed Windows 10 is approximately 86,000 rubles. The GS63-7RE version will cost at least 10-11 thousand more.

Whether it makes sense to overpay for a thin body and an IPS screen is up to you, but a weak video card spoils the impression of the model.

MSI GS63VR-7RF

The laptop sports a thin aluminum chassis with a thickness of less than 18 mm. Processor - i7 7700HQ, graphics card - GTX 1060 with 3 or 6 GB of memory.

There are two screens to choose from, both IPS, FullHD and 4K on the Samsung FL156FL02-101 matrix. There are no major complaints about either.

The GS series of laptops is more premium, hence the price level. Less than 100,000 rubles. such a model will not cost. Depending on the configuration, the price can reach almost 140,000 rubles. for the version with 4K and other "buns".

Unfortunately, for games at this resolution (3840x2160), the GTX 1060 is weak. The rest - the price corresponding to the class of the laptop. It is rather big, and if you are primarily interested in the optimal ratio of FPS to every thousand rubles invested, then this is not your option. Although the laptop itself is not bad, and it looks elegant for a gaming model.

MSI GT62VR-7RE

Here is the transition to the next level. GTX 1070 video cards. Processor - only i7 7700HQ, no alternatives, which is quite logical, because i5 is already too weak for video processors of the 1070 level.

There are two screens, with different resolutions:

• FullHD - on the LG Philips LP156WF6 matrix. Brightness - 300 cd / m 2, contrast - 700:1, response time - 25 ms.
• 4K - on the LG Philips LP156UD1-SPB1 matrix. Brightness - 300 cd / m 2, contrast - 600:1, response time - 25 ms.

The laptop has 4 slots for installing memory, which gives a maximum amount of 64 GB. There is M.2 for drives.

You can become the owner of such a laptop in the minimum configuration (without an SSD, but with an OS) for an amount slightly exceeding 100,000 rubles. I must say, a very tempting offer, given the IPS screen, GTX 1070 graphics card and other pleasures.

The maximum modification with a 4K screen, a 512 GB SSD and 32 GB of memory costs almost 150 thousand. The justification for using just such a panel on a screen with a diagonal of only 15 inches is doubtful. In my opinion, FullHD will still be optimal, and the video card will cope with almost any game without problems, if not at the highest, then at graphics settings close to them.

An interesting model and a good investment in a laptop, the capabilities of which will be more than enough in the next year or two, or even more.

MSI GS63VR-7RG

So, we take a thin case from MSI GS63VR-7RF, we use almost the same stuffing, but we install a GTX 1070 video card with 8 GB of video memory with, as stated on the MSI website, desktop performance. So, the video card is really fast, but also hot. How to cool it in such a thin case?

It's simple, you probably already heard about, proposed not so long ago by NVidia? So, this technology is used, and it is not advertised in the specifications. It is only known from reviews that the video card has undergone some modifications designed to reduce heat dissipation. Unfortunately, this also comes with a performance penalty.

The processor is used exclusively i7 7700HQ. In addition to the hard drive, an M.2 SSD is installed. There are several screens to choose from. This is a 120-Hz FullHD TN panel, and the same IPS resolution, and even 4K.

In this case, the use of a screen with a resolution of 3840x2160 is quite justified, given the video card used, even if in a slightly reduced form. True, you can hardly count on high graphics settings, because even more productive video processors can not always cope with such a resolution.

As for FullHD, the GTX 1070 is enough and, which is especially nice, it will probably be enough for quite some time. for a long time. It should only be remembered that the limit for the video card in the MAX-Q version is still lower than that of the regular one.

Unfortunately, the reduction in the characteristics of the video card does not lead to a decrease in the price of the laptop as a whole. For the possession of this model will have to pay about 140,000 rubles. for the younger modification with a FullHD screen and a 256 GB SSD. The desire to have a 4K screen requires an amount of about 178,000 rubles.
