Did I charge you?
- Charged.
Did you charge all night?
- All night long.
- Where is the charge?
- What charge?

Known problem, right? In particular, it is familiar to those who use Android gadgets, since the Android OS itself is already a hell of a battery eater. But the developers Battery Doctor for Android armed with keyboards and undertook to fix this rather serious jamb of the OS.

What is the feature of the Battery Doctor app for Android? Let's start with the fact that the chips this application huge amount.

First, the app has a three-step power control. Its essence is to cut off excessive battery charge (as you know, it is not recommended to overcharge the battery). Those. this feature is already guaranteed to extend the battery life of your smartphone / tablet / e-book / well, or whatever else you have.

Secondly, the application "throws out" random access memory applications that just hang idle. This allows you to work more stably "adjacent" in the RAM applications, and as a bonus - will reduce battery consumption.

The third feature is the control of the charge time, and if you have superuser rights, you can also control the heating of the battery and processor. Any heating of both, as you know, "is not buzzing."

The fourth feature is data transfer control (we are talking about Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2G / 3G / 4G). Everything is simple here - Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can simply be turned off if they are not used. With 2G / 3G / 4G, everything is somewhat more complicated - it is not at all necessary to use the speed to the fullest. For example, a 2G connection is quite enough for VKontakte correspondence. Those. Battery Doctor allows you to "load" the Internet more intelligently. As a result, we again get an additional "power reserve" of the battery.

Here are 4 main features, due to which the answer to the question “well, where is the charge?” can change from "what charge?" to “here you are, everything is in place!”

Battery Doctor has several pre-configured power saving modes - outdoor, "at school", etc. And each has its own characteristics, allowing the most efficient use of battery power. If you believe the reviews, the number of which is already approaching 2 million, the program allows you to charge the gadget about 1.5 times less often.

With the interface, the developers, however, are a little too clever, so at first the user may get scared and go for a glass of vodka to figure it out. But, if you really look at things - management is done using a widget on the desktop. Those. adjustments to the work are made literally in 1-2 touches of the screen. You can download Battery Doctor for Android from the link below. Download is mandatory, not discussed!

  • A bunch of useful tips, which are simply necessary in an application of this kind.

Battery Doctor is a professional utility that deserves attention. Owners modern smartphones face the problem of autonomy, which is the subject of experience. However, a solution to this problem has already been found. So if you often run out of battery percentage, then this program can help you.

Many users of "smart" devices are familiar with such a popular application as Clean Master. Initially designed as an assistant in cleaning RAM, it gradually turns into a whole combine, offering not only work with the "RAM" and creating backups / deleting applications, but also cooling the processor and protecting the device using the built-in antivirus. Encouraged by the app's popularity, developer Cheetah Mobile Inc. decided not to stop there and started developing a whole set of applications covering the most relevant areas, and today the CM Family already includes the following applications:

  • Clean Master - needs no introduction;
  • CM Browser - Internet browser offering secure internet (see review);
  • CM Security - still a simple antivirus, but gaining momentum;
  • CM Backup - "cloud" for backup, storage and recovery of important data;
  • AnTuTu is a popular device performance testing app;
  • Photo Grid - creating collages from photos;
  • Battery Doctor is a battery consumption optimizer that prolongs battery life.

    That's about latest application and I would like to tell in this review. The application size is small - 4.67 MB. Now the application has 50 million users, and its average score is a good 4.5 points.

    As you know, in modern "smart" gadgets, there is never too much battery charge, as well as the amount of memory, sooner or later their shortage begins to be felt, and this "battery doctor" is designed to extend not only the life of the device from a single battery charge, but also battery life! He is trained to carry out the most optimal battery charging, report the largest wasters of its energy and independently switch between various modes of operation of the device. But first things first.

    Understanding the application interface is easy: at the bottom there are 4 labels - "Save", "Charging", "Mode" and "Consumption", each of which opens one of the 4 pages with information and settings. "Save" opens the application's "home" table.

    The shortcut in the upper left corner opens a selection of the best applications (according to the developer).

    To the right, under the name of the application, you can see a "tab", pulling which (just swipe your finger from top to bottom in the middle of the table) you can open a panel with several popular switches: Wi-Fi, data transfer (Internet access), screen brightness, volume , vibration, GPS, backlight delay and flight mode.

    "Battery Doctor" works in conjunction with Clean Master, which can be seen by opening the context menu (3 dots in the upper right corner), where the first item is cleaning the device from "garbage", sending it to the Clean Master interface, after cleaning is automatically returned to the "doctor".

    Also using context menu you can open the message center (if any message arrives, there will be a red mark next to the "3 dots" of the context menu), rate the application, contact the developer, read a brief information about the application, view all the developer's applications and install the most requested ones ( the icons of the installed ones will turn into their own color), open the main application settings (we will look at them a little later).

    In the middle of the table there is a large button, touching which starts the device diagnostics, and if it turns out to be unimportant, you will be prompted to perform optimization by clearing the RAM from unnecessary applications that consume battery power (you can exclude the necessary applications from the list).

    After performing the optimization, a curtain may appear on the screen (pulls up from the bottom up) with recommendations for saving energy, and if some information is considered useless, you can close it by clicking on the "3 dots" on its right side and confirming the message "Not interested" ".

    Under the central button is information about the remaining battery charge and the approximate time that the device can work on this charge. Touching this line reveals more detailed information about battery charge on 2 pages. "Available" - here is information about how much battery has been saved by this application for several weeks ("green bars" can be scrolled horizontally), and the approximate time that can be enough for a particular function with the available battery power. The second page "About the battery" opens a visual diagram of the battery consumption / charge (you can also scroll horizontally) and general information about her condition.

    Now in the context menu we will open the general settings of the application and prepare it for further correct operation. The settings are divided into several small sections:

    • Charging options - here you can enable / disable the display of wallpaper (although there is no difference), on / off. charging notifications, a sound when the charger is connected and a ringtone when charging is completed;
    • Startup settings - a list of exclusions in which you can put desired applications and exclude them when cleaning the RAM by the "doctor" (he puts some applications in this list "by default", and, basically, these are applications of the developer himself, unnecessary ones can be removed from this list, and using the icon in the upper right corner add your own)

    putting the "doctor" in autorun, on / off. displaying its information in the status bar (when turned on, it will display a very small circle with the amount of remaining charge, and the notification panel will display information similar to that displayed under the large button on the home table), then there are 2 buttons that allow you to place on the desktop device table app widget and power saver shortcut (although they can be placed there in the usual way- by dragging from the widget menu);

    • Other - Feedback with the developer, information about the application, its rating, version number with the possibility of updating.

    But the settings do not end there - in the upper right corner (under the context menu button) there is a "Smart Saving" button that opens additional settings for reasonable battery usage.

    Here you can configure:

    • autorun management (a list of all applications placed in the autorun of the device, but to unload unnecessary ones from it, root access is required);
    • low battery notification (you can turn it on and select the amount of remaining charge at which it will appear: 30, 25, 20, 15 or 10%);
    • switching power down or, more simply, select the time to turn on the "Power Saving" mode (again, you need to select the percentage of charge to operate) and select the mode into which the device will switch: "Airplane Mode", "Super Saving", "Silent" or which -something your own (if you choose 10% charge, then it would be more logical to select the "Super Saving" mode), when the charge rises above the selected percentage (for example, after connecting the charger), the device will automatically return to the previous mode;
    • processor management (lowering its frequency, which allows to reduce energy consumption, but this again requires root access to the device or Administrator rights);
    • auto-completion of applications (when the screen backlight is turned off, all applications not included in the exclusion list will be unloaded from RAM and will no longer be able to waste battery power stupidly - this option is also in Clean Master itself, but it somehow worked incorrectly for me, and here it does its job perfectly!), then again comes the list with excluded applications.

    The last item of the settings opens a few more additional options: automatic switch on flight mode when the signal cell tower less than 10% (so that the device does not try to frantically search for them, intensively consuming battery power), disable wifi and synchronization when the screen is turned off and turning off Wi-Fi when its signal is less than 10%.

    We figured out the first table, everything was set up as it should, now we press the "Charging" button at the bottom and go to the second table. While charging the battery, it will open automatically, bypassing the first table, but if charging is not in progress, you can view the "Battery Service History" (by tapping at the bottom of the corresponding line), reporting how charging has been carried out in the last days and months - from full, normal or overcharged.

    While charging, the "History" will be hidden and the battery charge diagram will be shown instead. The application offers a unique 3-stage charging: first, " fast charging" (battery quickly charges up to 80%), then "Continuous charge" (the electric current is reduced to ensure a full charge and thus the battery is charged to 100%) and finally "Trickle charge" is turned on (an additional 10-minute charge is carried out to increase battery life).

    To the right of the central circle with information about the amount of charge is a button that locks the screen and displays information about the amount of charge and the time remaining until the end of charging. Horizontal gesture from left to right allows you to unlock.

    The "Mode" button at the bottom opens a third table where you can set the modes that are automatically turned on by the "doctor" at a specified time. The table is divided into 2 pages: "Mode" and "Schedule" - on the first one, the modes are set, and on the second, the time of their inclusion is set. Initially, there are already several important modes here - "Airplane Mode", "Super Economy" and "Silent" - they are all already set up as they should, but if desired, their options can be adjusted. The "Add Options" button allows you to add and customize your mode.

    The currently active mode is marked with a green checkmark, and to view all the options for this mode (without editing them), just briefly touch its name. If you touch the inactive mode, then not only information about its options will appear, but also the time the device has been operating in this mode with the possibility of turning it on.

    Editing the mode, with disabling unnecessary options and activating the necessary ones, is carried out after a long hold on the line with the name of the mode.

    After setting the modes properly, open the second page "Schedule" and select the time to turn on and off this or that mode. A short touch on the line of the mode turns it on or off, and touching the arrow at the end of the line opens the setting itself, in which you can select the time the mode will turn on and the time when it will be replaced by another suitable mode, here you can also select the days of the week to activate the mode and assign it Name.

    At first, setting the modes seems difficult, but, in fact, there is nothing complicated in it, just devote quite a bit of time to it, and soon the device itself will switch to the mode you need at a given time, for example, turning on the Silent mode at work or for the whole night flying away to "Flight" and returning only in the morning! This wonderful function reminded me of the well-known application Llama / "Lama", which also knows how to automatically switch modes, only there they are switched using cell towers, by which the application determines where you are at the moment (at home, at work or somewhere else - then), and here this switching occurs at the time you set!

    By the way, if some mode should turn on at a specified time, for example, "Flight" (disabling all options), but you are a little late and still working with the device while in the previous mode, then before switching modes, the application will first ask then your permission, giving 10 seconds to make a decision - sometimes it is very helpful!

    The last desktop "Consumption" opens a list of all applications installed on the device, from which you can find out about the biggest battery wasters.

    Touching the line of the offending application opens more detailed statistics of its "crimes", in which it can be deleted or temporarily closed (the latter can be done directly from the list), after which it will move to the standard settings window for this application.

    The "miracles" of the application do not end there - it has 2 visual "Energy Saving" widgets and a Battery Doctor toggle button. All of them are a bit similar in their capabilities, and the choice of one or the other will depend only on free space on device desktops. "Switcher" opens a 2-page panel: the first one contains toggles for various options (replicating the panel on the application's home table with the addition of synchronization, bluetooth, auto-rotate the screen and a shortcut to open the application itself), and the second page allows you to quickly switch modes.

    Widgets are, of course, more visual. The small one (4x1) shows the battery (touching it opens the application) with information about the charge and the remaining time (touching the time opens the same 2-page panel as the toggle button), and on the right side there is a round button, touching the which quickly unloads from RAM all applications that are not included in the list of exceptions. At the bottom of the large widget (4x2), 4 additional switches are displayed - Wi-Fi, data transfer, brightness and volume, the rest are on the already familiar panel and are called after touching the "3 green dots" on the right side of the widget.

    As competitors of the application, one can name the application "Talking Battery" (see review) and the already mentioned "Lama", but only with a big stretch, because. All 3 applications have their own features and benefits.

    Grade

    A great application, it can not only professionally charge the battery and unload unnecessary applications from RAM when the screen is turned off, but also switch the device to the desired modes at a specified time, and after obtaining Administrator rights, it also offers to exclude unnecessary applications from autorun and control the processor frequency. As long as the developer hasn't messed up the app and stuffed a bunch of unnecessary options into it, overloading it, I'll give it the highest rating - 10 points!
