On one Western resource, I came across an article where a list of information sites that earn millions of dollars a year was given.

In custody

The income of sites is taken from open sources. I collected sites in completely different niches. From recipes to finance.

Sites in the financial theme earn everyone more money. You can also notice that sites live not only due to traffic from search engines.

A large number of projects receive traffic from bookmarks or from social networks. Pay attention to the age of these sites.

Most of them are over 10 years old. This suggests that you need to tune in to long-term work and do not expect quick results.

There are a lot of requests from newbies about how much you can earn on the site if you have little traffic. Consider the income from YAN Yandex, Google Adwords and Advertur on the example of this blog. But first, a little background on why it turned out like this big delay with the release of this article.

Yandex and Profit Partner

In those days when the air was fresher and the grass greener, Yandex worked with webmasters through the YAN CSP - the partner service centers of the Yandex advertising network. Most small webmasters mainly worked through such centers, one of the most popular DSCs was Profit Partner.

In principle, DSCs were of great benefit to the community of site builders who were trying to make money on their sites:

  • Popularized contextual advertising from Yandex
  • Provided technical support to webmasters in setting up and installing ad block codes
  • Advised to increase income
  • Supported referral system
  • Conducted various promotions and competitions

The technical support of the CSC received a lot positive feedback from webmasters. In the 14th year, the Profit Partner team planned to celebrate 7 years of its work quite widely. But it didn't happen...

In June 2014, Yandex unilaterally refused to work through DSCs. Profit Partner stopped working on August 31st. All money was paid to the partners. The only active referrals suffered greatly, as they also covered. All efforts to attract new partners to the advertising network have gone down the drain.

Webmasters began to be transferred to work under a direct contract with Yandex. At the same time, the requirements for sites were tightened. Attendance of the resource from that time should be from 500 people per day. At that time, I decided not to bother with the incomprehensible transition procedure and simply changed the YAN codes to Google Adsense.

Passive earnings on your own website for 2 years 4 months

Next, I will give a few screenshots from the Profit Partner interface for the period 04/05/2013-07/31/2014. Let's see how much I managed to earn on the site during this time in passive mode, since at that time I had abandoned work on this blog. The statistics are a little crooked, for some reason Profit Partner adds the data by slices to each other. You just need to look at the site as a whole. I will also add data on clicks for history.

Another interesting graph remains - the change in income after disabling behavioral targeting. We see a fairly strong drawdown on clicks.

A few summary figures based on the unloading of text data.

In fact, quite harsh, but at the same time true numbers. From 1000 impressions, you get an income of 24.48 rubles, CTR 0.55. A graph of blog traffic for different years can be viewed in the article about. But in some way everyone's favorite passive income :-).

Feedback on working with the Advertur service

Previously approved sites were added to the system without additional moderation. I had nothing to lose, so in addition to the context from Google, I added Advertour ad blocks for tests.

It's also an interesting schedule. The jump in revenue is due to the inclusion of mobile advertising. On the mobile devices pops up an advertising banner in full screen. Despite the growth in income, I turned off this thing, since I myself do not like such advertising and, accordingly, I am not ready to place it on my site.

Advertour service is good, the team has maintained high standards of work quality since the time of Profit Partner. Payments are made in automatic mode once a month. The low income is due to the fact that the ad block is placed in a not very profitable place, in the sidebar, there are always few clicks in both YAN and Adsense. In general, as far as I can see, ads of decent quality without shocking elements.

How to increase the profitability of ad units

Advertising from Adventurer is suitable for closing low-income places and for those who are not taken to YAN or banned from Google for some reason. To increase income, you can use three systems at the same time. Yandex has now switched to the RTB auction, so in the settings of the RTB ad block, you can set the minimum CPM, for example, 8-10 rubles. In the stub in the blocks from Yandex, you can put an Adventur ad, which has an average CPM of 8 rubles. And you can insert ads from Google into the Advertour stub, then you can monetize most of your traffic.

Finally, some fresh data from Google Adsense.

Incomes were both small and remained modest due to low site traffic. If you translate at the current rate, then in Adsense you get the same 24-25 rubles per 1000 impressions, as in YAN 3 years ago. Stability…

Making money on information sites is one of the fairly common and old ways of online business (namely, business - because in this business you will have to hire someone). A well-made project can bring its owner tens of thousands of rubles of net income, or it can be sold for an amount that is enough to buy an apartment in a Russian millionaire.

Below Reconomica will consider in detail internal organization this industry: one of the webmasters shared his experience with us. Sites are a competitive environment, webmasters do not like to show their property, so our expert asked not to mention the names and exact topics of the sites he develops. You will learn how to earn 10 thousand rubles of passive income per month on your website without investments, and for how much such a project can be sold (or bought) on the open market.

How I got into website building and where I studied it

Hello, my name is Denis. Since about 2010-2011 I have been doing. This occupation quickly became a source of stable income - I write quickly, I have no problems with perseverance and literacy, and since childhood I have read and read a lot (and not only fiction).

I didn’t know much about information sites until about the end of 2013 - at that time, one of my regular customers was a guy who was just doing this. He created articles, putting this business on stream: when we met him, he had about a dozen projects, mostly related to construction. The total attendance was about 200-250 thousand per month, if my memory serves me right.

How much can you earn on your site

Depending on the aggressiveness and methods of monetization (I did not understand this at that time, and did not delve into it), it could bring from 60-80 thousand rubles a month (according to very rough estimates). The question “how much can you earn on your site per month” is actually not entirely correct. First of all, you need to clarify. that we are talking about information sites, not online stores. That is, earnings come from advertising, and not from sales; traffic is attracted for free, not bought. It is customary in the industry to calculate the profitability of a project per thousand unique visitors.

If you are interested, how much does a site with 1000 visitors per day bring, you can roughly estimate by these figures, it turns out about 311 rubles from a thousand uniques every day. But a beginner should not count on such a figure. "Construction" is considered a competitive and "fat" topic. A simple niche where it is easy to get traffic is entertainment sites, but there it is often unrealistic to increase the profitability up to 100 rubles from 1000 unique visitors. Typically, the yield lies in the range of 100-200 rubles per 1000 uniques, depending on the subject.

In general, for this industry and for our time, this is an above-average result. Single webmasters often hit the ceiling of about 30-40 thousand. Since it is impossible to simply stop there in this niche (after six months or a year or a couple of years, the traffic from the created sites will begin to fall, and with it the income), he constantly needed to continue to create new sites and supplement the old ones. That is, the content is needed in huge quantities, and stable.

Making money online requires professional growth, just like offline.

This person became my main customer: he could provide any download, even for 24/7 work. Initially, I worked with him as a copywriter - only writing texts. The prices, by the way, were at the average level (for 2013): about 40 rubles per 1000 characters. For information sites, this price for filling can be considered the lower bar of the mid-price segment: it is already difficult to find cheaper, more expensive - you can, if you look.

After working in this way for a couple of months and getting to know each other better, later I began to receive additional tasks. In short, then my "career" looked something like this:

First - just writing the text.

Then, somewhere in January 2014, I also began to publish my texts on the site (on the WordPress engine). I had to add design elements for the article: title and description (ready-made), H1 (I wrote), as well as add pictures (~ 3-5 pieces per text of 6-7 thousand characters) and Youtube video.

Somewhere in February 2014, I started looking for "colleagues". Most searches were conducted through the copywriting exchange contentmonster : I sent out a template proposal to copywriters, inviting them to work with us. It took a little time, up to half an hour a day. Much more - it took away further selection and communication: answers to various questions and distribution of TK. I had to communicate with at least a dozen new people a day (and send out offers to about 30-40 copywriters). Ultimately, I also had to check and publish their texts.

What do you need to make money on creating information sites? Key webmaster skills

It turns out that at this stage I have fully mastered for myself the process of working with a direct executor - from searching and to collecting and checking finished tasks.

Delegation of copywriting

In my opinion, in information sites delegation- this is the most responsible, but also the most tedious and complex process that requires maximum attention and accuracy. Didn't notice the error? Did not double-check the uniqueness of the text for the author? Didn't read the article for informativeness and meaning? All this can generally harm the site.

So I realized that the main thing in creating articles is to find a reliable and good (competent, knowledgeable subject, responsive to comments, observing deadlines) author.

At this stage, I practically stopped writing my texts - my main job was to control a team of copywriters. But I planned the schedule in such a way that at least 2-3 hours (and ideally - about 5-6) daily I had left directly for copywriting. Firstly, to change activities: communicating with a large number of people on “small” issues is very annoying and exhausting, and the brain needed to rest, doing more relaxed work. Secondly - for diversification: in order not to get hooked on one source of income (albeit stable at that time).

Collecting semantics and working with keywords

Closer to the middle of spring, it was the turn of the launch of the next site. Since we had a team of authors at that time, and some of them published their own texts, I was transferred to the collection of semantics. This task was completely new for me - before that I had no idea what it was, how and why it was done.

I mastered the process as follows:

From video tutorials. They sent me a fairly good and detailed manual, in which they told the beginners what to do and how to do it.

Making trial small parts of the core (separate headings of the site).

The work was carried out through Yandex.Wordstat and Key Collector, a paid program that was provided to me.

In general, I mastered the work in it in about a week - from the stage “what is it?” and to the level of "no, you did it wrong, you need it like this." I liked this process much more than working with copywriters, and I completely switched to it. The team of authors (we had 5-6 people) was supervised by another person, who was trained by myself.

Preparation of technical specifications and quality control of content

In the summer, I began to take a direct part in the preparations for the launch of new projects: I collected and analyzed competitors, “evaluated” the quality of content from the main ones, collected semantics, and compiled ready-made technical specifications (with a list of keys, titles, structure). I also controlled the final work of the authors: I checked the already published texts, and then handed over the reports “upstairs” - for payment.

How to learn these skills from scratch

It turns out that in about six months I fully mastered the work of filling information sites "from and to".

My way

To summarize, I learned something like this:

At first, I “honed” independent writing of texts, focused specifically on information sites. This also applies to mechanical parameters (nausea, uniqueness), and the semantic completeness of the text. The most complete understanding of this point has allowed (and allows now) to create high-quality content that both search engines and site visitors “love”.

Then - worked with a team of authors. This gave me the ability to work with people, organizing, optimizing and controlling the implementation of tasks. I didn’t have such experience before, and it’s very cool that I didn’t get it on my own, but under the guidance of a person who is already experienced in this. I can’t single out any sensible manuals-lessons - either they simply didn’t exist at that time, or I didn’t come across them. Therefore, I simply did what I was told, and as I gained experience, I improved and optimized some stages myself.

Next - work on semantics. Along with writing texts - the most basic stage of work. Bad (incorrectly or not fully assembled) semantics will lower even the largest budget, greatly underestimating the possible result. A scrupulously and competently compiled core will allow you to give a cool start even with a small investment, even if there are many competitors in the niche, and they will be old and not bad (in terms of content quality). I studied from video tutorials + my work was checked by another person.

Then, for a more complete understanding of the entire circuit, I looked at the material, which turned out to be probably the most useful for a beginner. It was "Marathon Standard" for 2014, Roman Puzat. In the field of information sites, this is probably one of the most famous people. This person has a fairly large number (more than a dozen) of his projects, and conducts annual courses on their creation. It was this course that allowed me to fully understand what this business is like, how it looks in stages, which stages I understand and which I don’t.

After a complete review and analysis of each stage, I created my first project - a site dedicated to engineering systems.

What is the effectiveness of writing texts for your projects compared to copywriting

This is a very interesting question. Here, let's say you want and decide to start with the easiest - with copywriting. Here you have found a task with a payment of 40 rubles per 1000 characters. Let's say for a long article that you wrote almost all day due to inexperience, someone paid you 500 rubles. Seems like easy money. Have you ever wondered why the webmaster did this? Why shouldn't he save money and write this article himself for such and such money?

Content payback period

Every serious webmaster has internal statistics, he knows how long one article will pay off. As a rule, the costs of copywriting are added to the costs of semantics, design, proofreading, website design, comment moderation, link promotion, etc. All this increases the final cost of the article at least twice. Still, one single article usually pays off within a year, plus or minus a few months. Next year she will bring the same amount. Then the traffic to it, most likely, will decrease. But in any case, for 2 years this is a 100% return.

That is, a person who buys an article from you knows in advance that he is investing these 300-500 rubles in copywriting at 50% per annum. Why isn't everyone doing this? Yes, because here you need to work and understand. Bandwidth one webmaster is finite, but if you want to do it well - as you know, do it yourself. So do not confuse this active work with passive investment in the bank.

How much can you pull yourself out?

Suppose that a copywriter, working with an information project, receives 45 (current average cost for 2018) rubles for 1000 characters without spaces. The average volume of 1 text is 7000 characters (or, to round it up a little, 320 rubles).

Below is the calculation that works for me.

I spend about 8 hours a day on a job that brings me money for living. Usually I take 1 day off a week, but I often work on it.

In addition, I try to allocate about 1-2 hours for my projects (now there are 2 of them). On weekends, I can spend up to 4-5 hours. It turns out that I spend about 12-14 hours a week on my site (or about 50-55 hours a month, or 600-660 hours a year).

How long does it take to build a money making website?

It takes about the following amount of time to create an information site:

Installing and configuring WordPress, choosing-purchasing a domain, paying for hosting. All this, if you know what and how to do, will take about 1-2 hours. If you get confused with the choice of a domain, you can spend a little more.

Choosing a topic (niche). There are no strict limits here - I chose my first topic right away: I just knew what I would be doing the site about, without any analytics and comparisons. If with a margin, you can spend up to 10 hours at this stage. In my opinion: if you do not understand the chosen topic, it is better to take another one. Otherwise, you will have to hire a specialist who understands - specialized knowledge will be needed to form the structure, and to collect semantics, and to group it, and to create technical specifications, and to check texts.

Topic analysis, structure formation. The amount of time and effort spent depends on how large the topic is (about how many articles you can write on it), and how much you understand it. It took me about 10 hours in total, but if you count by days - I spent more than a week. My niche is average in volume - about 600-650 articles cover it completely. I made several options, double-checked that each section had at least 10-15 topics for articles. Then I redrawn the result several times until I got what I liked. Competitors, by the way, do not have a similar one - the main sites in my subject had everything like a blueprint, with slight differences.

Collection of topics for articles. For most training materials, it is advised to first collect a “common” pool of key phrases through the Key Collector, then group it, highlighting topics for articles. According to this scheme, I worked as a hired contractor. For my projects, I choose topics only through Wordstat. I focus on the number of requests, the presence / absence of material from competitors, the general relevance of the topic (for example, is it worth writing a separate text about it or not). For my 600 articles, I spent about 40-50 hours of total time on this stage.

Collection of keys. Most webmasters first collect keys for each topic, and only then do they start filling. I did it differently: I collect the keys directly for the selected topic. It takes about 10-20 minutes for 1 topic (the larger - the more time). It turns out that for 600 articles I will need to spend about 150 hours on average.

Writing texts. On average, 1 text of 6-7 thousand characters takes me up to 3 hours (if the topic is simple and well known, then up to 2). It turns out that it will take up to 1800 hours to write 600 articles. The most stressful and longest stage. This is already 225 clean working days, almost a year with two days off. As a result, there are no guarantees of the exact figure that the site will bring you, it can be 50 thousand per month, or maybe 5 - how lucky you are, how much quality material you write. Is it worth it, or is it better to work for hire for money - it's up to you.

Publication of text on the site. Depending on the number of pictures - takes about 20 minutes. For example, there are instructional articles for which you need to search for a large number of "narrow profile" images or videos - in this case, more time will be required. It will take about 180-200 hours to publish 600 articles.

It turns out that to create 1 site with a volume of 600 articles completely on your own and without investment, you will have to spend about 2200 hours of your own time, according to rough estimates. This is about a year and one month in the equivalent of the Labor Code. This is given that you will do everything yourself, and you are at least superficially versed in the subject. Based on this, you can calculate how much you can do on your own, according to your amount of free time. Not surprisingly, many webmasters recognized who work seven days a week.

In my opinion - in 1 year, spending 12-14 hours a week (that is, 1.5-2 hours daily), it is quite realistic to create a small article for 200-300 texts. At right approach this is quite enough to gain experience and reach a passive income of 5-15 thousand rubles a month.

What is passive income? There is nothing eternal under the moon. In this context, this is the income that will be kept after the publication of all planned articles at the same level without additional time and money costs of one year or more, until the articles are satisfied or are not knocked out of the top search results new articles of competitors.

Where to find partners and why they are needed

I created my second site in half with a partner. It was my first customer - exactly the one who taught me how to work with information sites. It happened simply: at the beginning of 2016, when we worked together for more than 2 years without interruption, I directly offered to make a website for two.

I am fully versed in all stages that are related to content - from choosing a niche to checking and linking texts. Since these tasks have been my main job for a long time, I understand this well, and much better than my partner. Therefore, I completely took over the entire process related to the content.

However, I understand almost nothing in the "technical" side of the work. Install WordPress and install a few plugins - I can. But even changing the font on the site is already difficult for me. Therefore, my partner took over the entire “technical” side of the issue. He is also involved in monetization - I also have no experience in this.

Of course, it's good to be a generalist, but all human capabilities have their limits. If I only studied all the time, when would I have time to work?

The search for partners is complicated by the following:

Ideally, a person should understand site building - so that he can take on some part of the work. Otherwise, it will not be a partner, but an investor. Working with an investor is more difficult, because he does not fully understand the specifics, complexity and risks, does nothing and is only interested in the result (income).

The person should be fairly familiar to you. Building a website is not a fast process. Even if you invest about 50-100 thousand rubles, and write out all the semantics in a month or two, the site will need at least another six months for all the texts to gain “weight” and start generating income. Therefore, you need to do such projects with people who you know well and for a long time, and with whom you are guaranteed to communicate in the same language and work without scandals in a few months (ideally, years).

In my opinion, the ideal partner is the person you are already working with for a long time . It can be your customer, or vice versa - the contractor.

An important nuance: at the initial stage, it is very important to completely paint:

Responsibilities - who is responsible for what.

How will income and expenses be divided?

What expenses are you willing to bear. This can be either a “total” amount that you can allocate to create a project, or some kind of stable amount that you will spend per week / month.

What and how to do if one of you wants to “leave” the project (or cannot continue working).

About my projects: what I'm working on, what income and results are there now

On the this moment(before the New Year 2018) I have 2 projects, with a total traffic of 60 thousand per month:

Engineering systems (construction). A site that I created in 2015 and which I am doing on my own. Published 75 texts, of which about 60 I wrote myself. Attendance per month - about 30 thousand. The average income is 8000 rubles per month.

Joints (medicine). Website created with a partner in early 2017. About 350 texts have been published. All content is written by one copywriter, I am engaged in the preparation of technical specifications and semantics. The partner deals with all the work on the site and monetization. Attendance per month - about 25 thousand. Every month, 5-7 thousand rubles are invested, monthly income (starting in the fall) - from 5,000 rubles (total, that is, divided by 2).

The growth of traffic on the site about engineering communications 2015-2017, on which I worked only on my own.

And information sites can be sold and bought on the stock exchange

In 2016, we also had a joint project on medicine (with the same partner), which we sold at the beginning of 2017. It lasted about 12 months (but the site itself in the form of a stub and the domain were old, that is, the site began to grow quickly, immediately after the start of filling). In total, about 75 thousand rubles were invested. In total, monetization brought about 100 thousand rubles (in about 10-11 months), and the site was sold for another 250 thousand.

That is, if you sum up the investment of money and profits:

have invested: 65 thousand (content), +10 thousand (design) = 75 thousand rubles, for 11 full months.

Got: 100 thousand (monetization), +220 thousand (sale for 250 - exchange commissions) = 320 thousand rubles.

    net income: 320 -75 = 245, / 2 = 122,500 rubles each.

This income was received for 1 year of work. In terms of time - I spent about 1 hour daily: about half an hour preparing new technical specifications, and another half an hour - checking published texts.

Advice: If you want to buy or sell a virtual source of passive income in the form of an information site, there is the Telderi exchange for this, the largest platform of its kind in Runet. As a rule, sites are sold for 16-30 months of payback, the standard for a good article site is 2 years of payback.

In general, for site building, my results are conditionally the middle entry level. There is already experience, there is already a normal result and income, but it is still impossible to live only on this income. Firstly, it is not enough (in total, a little more than 10 thousand rubles a month comes out). Secondly, for normal growth, you need to reinvest. Moreover, for rapid development, you need to invest everything that is now obtained in a month.

What are my goals for 2018?

Initially, I did not have specific goals - I began to work on both projects in parallel with the main work. When a tangible income went (exceeded 5-6 thousand rubles), I approached this more carefully.

Now for myself I see 2 options for the development of events, between which I have not yet decided:

The development of these projects, scaling and creating new ones - to increase income.

Sale of projects (not right now, but in the foreseeable future) - if there is not enough time / effort / desire to deal with them.

FROM ways to monetize articles

My projects use the following monetization methods:

    Mediavenus (teaser network).

Periodically, requests for paid placement of links come to the mail. For sites with current performance, the minimum cost of 1 link is from 3,000 rubles. However, we do not use this method: the income is one-time (once I received money for placement, and that's it), and the link should hang forever. If there are a small number of them, it's not scary. But if you place them often and in large quantities, then in total they can negatively affect the "health" of the site. However, this is a matter of approach, it is important for someone to "squeeze out" the site to the maximum, quickly return their costs and sell it on the stock exchange.

As you can see, you can quite easily reach an income of 10 thousand rubles a month without investments. And having such a passive income, you can already take a mortgage, for example. As a result, you will have your own apartment, bought with income from the site (after all, they will grow over time and close the payment completely). Now you no longer have to run around the banks, as before. . Here is such a tricky way to buy an apartment from scratch in our difficult time.

passive income market. What you need to know when buying a site on the exchange

As I said above, we already have experience selling the site: we sold 1 site shared with a partner. I definitely didn’t plan to sell current projects, but I don’t exclude such a possibility.

Sites for sale on Telderi.

Search engine filters are the main problem for webmasters

At the end of 2017, problems arose with this: Yandex rolled out new filter"Useless content, spam and an overabundance of advertising", which knocked down a fairly large number of articles.

In 2012-2015, sites of this kind were mostly made with an emphasis on quantity: create more projects, upload them more articles. Naturally, the quality suffered because of this: it was necessary to look for a large number of performers, it was difficult to control their work normally. Yes, and with large volumes of investment, rather big ones were needed - because of which copywriters were looking for the cheapest ones.

These factors have become the main reasons that a large part of the content sites went under this filter. As a result, the market of information sites, which was quite lively until mid-autumn, gave a drawdown and froze. Those who bought projects began to fear that they would come across a site that could fly under the filter in the near future.

As a result:

    There were fewer transactions.

The number of sold projects has decreased.

Buyers have become much more attentive to the choice of "goods".

The average cost of projects has decreased. According to rough estimates, before, almost any more or less normal article could be sold for ~ 2 years of payback. That is, if the site brings in 10 thousand rubles a month, it could be put up for sale for 240 thousand. Today, this bar has sunk slightly, to about 14-18 months of payback.

Delegation Basics

Regarding delegation, I will not argue from my own personal experience(as the owner), but from the experience I got from working.

What to delegate

What you don't understand. For example, I know absolutely nothing about monetization, about setting up WordPress, about installing and configuring plugins.

    What you don't like.

Something that takes a lot of time, and costs a lot. In informational sites, this is primarily writing texts.

If a person invests in the creation of an information site is not the only free money - he, in principle, can delegate the entire chain of tasks in general, from choosing a niche to monetization. On the one hand, this is beneficial: the investor always has free time, and all tasks are solved by specialized specialists. On the other hand, the monetization of the project is greatly stretched, investments are increasing

In my opinion, full delegation is relevant for investors with a large budget - relatively speaking, if a person can safely spend from 30-50 thousand or more per month. In principle, you can find a team with less capital, but it will be more difficult, because in this case they will combine work on your project with other tasks.

When to Delegate

When the potential profit will be greater than the "cost" of the time spent. Example: if you translate the investor's monthly income into hourly wages, he receives 400 rubles per hour. If he writes a complex text himself, he will spend 3 hours of time (or not earn 1200 rubles). He can order the same text from a copywriter for 400 rubles. That is, it is much more profitable for an investor to order content from a copywriter than to write it yourself.

When work on a project interferes with other tasks. Example: you spend time working on one site, but have the opportunity (knowledge, money) to create another one.

How to delegate

For content sites, the most important thing is to streamline writing texts: find smart copywriters who understand your subject, work stably and at a price that is affordable for your budget.

Next, you need to decide what you will delegate besides writing texts. The best option: find a person who will control the work of copywriters: send them TK, collect them, check, edit, publish on the site (if the copywriters themselves do not publish). This is a content manager. If the amount of work is small (say, up to 10 texts daily), then one person can cope with the entire list. If the volume is large (from 10 texts per day or more), it can be 2-3 people (one checks and corrects the texts, the second publishes and arranges on the site, the third draws up the TOR and sends it to copywriters).

What always remains with the site owner

Monetization. If you yourself do not understand perfectly, it is definitely worth delegating. A person who does not understand monetization will surely lose a significant part of the possible income. There is also such a service. usually the webmaster loses nothing. A monetization specialist works for the difference in income from the site for 1-2 months. However, for large projects, the amounts for consulting on monetization are horsey, they can reach up to a million rubles.

Work on the site(design, usability, inventing and implementing additional services). Almost always delegated - here you need to have specialized knowledge, and a lot of time is spent on it.

P Potential Topics for Building Information Websites in 2018

For those who are planning to start doing content projects, I will give the topics that will be relevant in 2018 (in my opinion):

Automotive theme. An experienced webmaster can say that it is hard to breathe in it, and the competition is huge. At first glance - yes, but only if you take the most hackneyed topics (like repairing a VAZ). New car models come out every year, so you can find a promising niche in this direction.

Construction theme- almost all. In 2011-2015, just a colossal number of people climbed into this topic, and hundreds of sites managed to be created. But, as I wrote above, Yandex knocked out a huge part of them. Therefore, construction areas have been freed, and it is quite possible to enter them. Plus, niches make it easier to find smart copywriters.

The medicine. The situation is the same as with the construction site - there were many sites, but many were of low quality, and went under the filter. The main disadvantage of a niche is that it is more difficult to find a good copywriter. The search engines have a very tough approach in terms of trust in the site. It is important to prove that the text is written by a person with a medical education, so that your site does not harm readers, then they will give it traffic.

Legal topics. In 2016-2017, interest in it began to increase: the price of advertising here is higher than in other topics, and there was little competition before. This topic has additional monetization through the Lydia affiliate program, which brings more money than contextual advertising. A significant disadvantage is that good copywriters will cost at least around 60 rubles per 1000 characters (and this will still take a long time to look for).

Hobby. This includes all sorts of fishing-hunting-tourism. The direction is promising - the competition in many niches is small, the topics themselves are relatively simple, but you definitely need to look for a person who understands.

With other areas (travel, vacation, family, cooking) - you can also work if you have experience and a budget. Profitability in them is significantly lower than in the listed ones. 100500th travel blog with photos from Thailand will definitely not make you a millionaire.

Earnings on the Internet attracts many users. Especially those who initially plans to open their own business. More and more often people are thinking about how much you can earn on your site, as well as what to do to receive money in this way. In fact, to understand such a topic is not so difficult. Almost every user is able to start earning online on their own web page. But what is required for this? What advice and recommendations can be given to users in a particular case? Is it really profitable to make money on the site? How much is this idea in demand among the population?

Myth or reality

If you decide to figure out how to make money on your site, you must first think about how real this idea is. There are a lot of scammers and deceit on the Internet today. Some ways to earn money are just a dream.

In fact, it is possible to receive funds using your own web page. it real way earnings during world wide web. The main thing is to decide on the scope of activity. What can be said about this method making a profit? What advice and recommendations do users give in certain cases? All this will be dealt with further.

Ways to create a page

Everyone should know how to create their own website for making money. After that, you can think about an idea that will bring money to the owner of the web resource.

Building websites is hard work. It is not for everyone. Today, you can bring this idea to life in the following ways:

  1. Contact specialized firms involved in a fee will create any site - for earnings or personal use. Usually this pleasure is not cheap.
  2. Use free hosting to create pages on the Internet. For example, Ucoz is in demand. With help ready-made templates you can create a website for making money in a few minutes.
  3. Self-learn Web-programming and write a site from scratch. Usually, such an undertaking is suitable for those who are more or less already familiar with the basics of programming. This option is not suitable for beginners.
  4. Develop a website using paid hosting to create pages on the Internet. They work in much the same way as free "brothers". But the capabilities of such services are significantly superior to the same Ucoz.

Now it’s clear how you can create websites for earnings or personal needs. There is nothing special about this. Often, for long-term business, users prefer the creation of pages by experienced Web programmers. With a properly organized business, the cost of the site pays off pretty quickly.

Online store

Can you make money on your site? Yes, and, according to some users, the profit sometimes comes out quite good. The main thing is to choose one or another way of earning, and also do not forget about page maintenance.

A very good way is to create an online store page. Online sales are in great demand. With the help of the latter, users are able to receive good earnings.

You can sell anything - from ordinary goods to handmade crafts. But the fact remains - there is usually earnings on the site-shop. And the larger the organization, the higher the profit. How much can you earn on your site in this case? It all depends on the success of the store. Sometimes the monthly profit is up to several million rubles. Predicting the exact earnings in this case will not work. But we can say with confidence that he is tall.

Information page with advertising

The next scenario is to create your own thematic information page with paid advertising from different companies. Such earnings will mainly depend on several factors. Which ones?

If a person is thinking about how to make money on the Internet on his website using any information page with advertising on it, you will have to pay attention to the following factors:

  • service attendance;
  • the number of ads on the pages;
  • cost 1 advertising banner per month (determined by the page owner);
  • page theme.

Accordingly, the more people visit the Web site, the higher the likelihood of making good money. Usually, the theme of the page is selected, and then there is a search for customers whose ads will be placed on the service. It is recommended to match banners with the theme of the site.

To date, you can choose the following areas that are in special demand:

  • beauty and health;
  • children and their upbringing;
  • construction;
  • Interior Design;
  • recipes;
  • teaching lessons.

In general, the subject is sometimes mixed. Users simply create information pages and earn money by advertising a variety of products by placing banners. Nothing difficult or special.

How much can you earn on your site? The amount of such profit is less than that of online stores. But, as a rule, about 30-40 thousand rubles (minimum) the user manages to extract stably.

contextual advertising

While surfing the Internet, you can see on the pages. You can also earn money with the help of a personal site. There is nothing difficult in this. The main thing is to master several programs for placing contextual advertising.

How to make money on your site in the proposed way? You can pay attention to the following applications:

  1. AdSense is the leader among contextual programs around the world. In Russia, it is not used too often due to problems with the withdrawal of earnings received. Generally recommended when working internationally.
  2. "Yandex. Direct" is a Russian application for placing contextual advertising on a page. Conditions for cooperation are tough. Usually new sites managed by "Yandex. Direct" do not take.
  3. "Runner" - old program, which is practically not used in practice. You can use this service to make money on contextual advertising only out of desperation. Or at first.

How much can you earn on your site like this? Basically, about the same as conventional advertising. But a lot depends on the page traffic. The higher it is, the more the page owner gets.

Approximate estimates

These are not all methods of earning. How else to use the page to generate income will be discussed later. More and more often, users are thinking about how much they can earn on their site with 1000 visitors per day/month. This is a normal question. After all, as you can see, the success of the work done as a whole often depends on the answer to it.

There is no uniqueness. As statistics show, if the page traffic is 200-300 people per day, you can get about $ 300 in profit at the end of the month. Not too much, but not as little as some people think.

If we are talking about attendance of about 1000 people a day or more, then earnings will increase. And, as practice shows, significantly. Typically, such sites allow owners to earn 20-40 thousand rubles. Sometimes even more. But for this you will have to ensure stable attendance.

Posting articles

How to make money on your website on the World Wide Web? A very promising undertaking is the placement of articles for money. This option is beneficial to everyone - both the owner of the page and customers. The owner of the Web site receives unique content to fill the resource.

The only drawback of such work is the provision of page traffic. As practice shows, when making money on posting articles, only those who used search engines to search for this or that information will be visitors and readers of the service.

How much can you earn on your site in this way? The same as in all other cases. The more traffic and customers, the higher the profit at the end of the month. Everyone should remember this.

Promotion methods

A site up to 1000 per day? This question is asked by many users who have created own page to make money online. There are many options for the development of events.

To promote and increase attendance in practice, the following methods are encountered:

  • access to specialized free programs;
  • purchase of the service "site promotion" in companies engaged in web programming;
  • advertising in social networks;
  • use of contextual advertising and advertising banners.

Usually, in practice, users try to combine all of the above methods and recommendations for page promotion. If you are interested in how to make money on your site for a beginner, it is better to give preference to increasing traffic through specialized free software or by contacting web programmers.

What will not bring income

The internet is full miscellaneous information. There are some ideas that are unlikely to bring good earnings to owners. What topic is better not to choose for your page?

Among not the most successful proposals are:

  1. Sites that talk about ways to make money on the World Wide Web. They do not inspire confidence, and are also found on the Internet in large numbers.
  2. Pages with content marked "Adults Only".
  3. Any Web-sites in which the owner does not understand the subject.

From now on, it is clear how you can earn on your page, as well as how much profit per month the owner of a good site approximately receives. There is nothing difficult or special about it. But for beginners, such earnings on the Internet may seem extremely difficult.

"How much can you earn on your site?" - this question is of great interest to beginners who are just starting to study the field of making money on the Internet. Young webmasters hope to "cut down" a big jackpot here. Let's discuss the issue from a more sober and realistic point of view. What kind of profit can count on which site and with the help of what methods of monetization.

Subjects and purposes of sites

Let's start with the fact that all sites are completely different. Naturally, it is difficult to speak and generalize everything. One site with 100 visitors a day can bring in 100 times more than a site with the same traffic, but from a different topic.

It is worth breaking all the sites into at least a few topics. I would highlight the following:

  • Entertainment (cinema, humor, free pictures, software, etc.)
  • Useful sites (for such sites, almost all requests and articles begin with "How to do ...", "Why ...", etc.). The main direction on advice for life
  • Useful sites with near-commercial queries (for such sites, queries are close to commercial, but are of an informative and advisory nature: "how to choose a refrigerator", "where to get a loan", etc.). Such sites are aimed at a specific action, for sale.
  • Commercial sites

1. There is not much good to say about the first group of sites. Basically, the entire audience that does not want and cannot pay, but is only ready to "consume" everything for free. Getting traffic in such topics is not difficult. As a rule, sites in this group have decent traffic (you can achieve traffic from 1000 per day in literally 6-12 months with almost no investment). Naturally, you can earn quite a bit on such traffic (relative to other topics).

2. The second group of sites contains useful content, but also little effective. Content costs are much higher here, because the requests are already more serious. But money here, as a rule, will not be much. The cost of a click in contextual advertising will be in the area minimum values 3-7 rubles. Most of the sites in RuNet belong to this type of sites.

It is possible to achieve attendance here without investment, but it will take a longer time and effort than in the first group.

3. The third group is the most profitable. Here, the cost of clicks in contextual advertising can already reach 30..100 rubles per click. On such sites, links are actively bought even at inflated prices (if the site sells them). Having attendance even in the region of 300 people per day will already be an excellent result.

The complexity of creating such sites lies in the fact that the requests are largely related to sales, and therefore you have to deal with "monster" sites from commercial topics. Naturally, to win such unequal fight succeeds not always. Articles on such sites should be impeccable and aimed only at conveying benefits to users.

4. Commercial sites are rarely monetized on the Internet, because they were created for real sales. Most often, they can only sell links here. Moreover, links on such sites will be bought up much more readily than on all other categories.

Here is a list of the highest profitable topics

  • Business
  • Finance
  • Construction
  • Real estate
  • Tourism

In such topics, you can count on the maximum possible income from each visitor.

Let's get more specific about the numbers.

Numbers: how much you can get money from sites

Consider different areas of earnings and give detailed figures in each direction.

1. Contextual advertising

The highest income can be achieved by making a targeted website for some group of offers. For example, on the topic of financial transactions and loans. The competition in this area is very strong, but the profit will be corresponding. Therefore, there is something to strive for.
