If you are experiencing FPS freezes in GTA V and you have a G-SYNC enabled monitor, just try turning it on. They say it eliminates completely. Well, who, like me, does not have this technology, welcome to the guide.

Essential leadership

READ IMMEDIATELY THE LAST SECTION OF THIS MANUAL

GoTo "What's the trick." It contains the output of the entire guide. Everything between this section and the last, now post useless observations and reasoning. If there is time, I will remove the excess or even rewrite the manual.

Texture loading instead of FPS micro-freezes (FPS drops to 0)

I'll tell you about the most interesting :)
I haven't tested this setting without all the other tweaks I'll be talking about later, but I noticed that it drastically nullifies all micro-freezes, but sometimes textures are loaded on the fly instead, for example bushes - at first the texture is simpler, then normal.
Talking about parameter "Image Resolution Scale". When I set the value 5/4 (1.250) , FPS stutters are gone. Before that, I already applied some of the tweaks, which will be discussed later, but this is not the point. If I set the default value, freezes come back. Checked many times including, turning off, restarting and not restarting the game.
You can use other values, but all above 5/4 (1.250) will reduce the FPS, and anything lower will degrade the image quality.

My configuration on which it worked

Processor: Intel Pentium G4500 @ 3.50GHz (onboard GPU disabled in BIOS)
Video Card: Palit GeForce® GTX 980 Super JetStream 4Gb
Motherboard: MSI H110M PRO-VH (MS-7996) with latest version BIOS 2.30
RAM: DIMM DDR4, 8GB (2x4GB), Kingston HyperX Savage Black, HX421C13SBK2/8 2133 MHz Dual channel СL13
OS: Windows 10 x64 with all updates as of Jan 20, 2016.
SSD: 512 Gb OCZ Agility 4

Windows 10, GTA V and Steam on SSD.

The video card is connected to a Samsung UE40ES7507U (60Hz) TV via HDMI in PC mode via a Pioneer VCX-421 AV receiver with a "through" video signal.

Game settings in NVidia control panel

More about this + common optimization tweaks that you can't do without in another guide - which is essentially an integral part of this guide.

Here I will only give screenshots of the settings. Please note that the settings must be specified for gta5.exe, NOT for gtavlauncher.exe.

However, if you are using ShadowPlay but don't need or don't particularly need the background recording feature, I would recommend turning it off. Especially if you have an SSD, because this can contribute to its accelerated wear:

As for autoloading, everything is simple - nothing extra. Here's what it looks like for me.

Network adapter problems cause you to lose your Internet connection. The disappearance of an adapter from the list in Device Manager indicates one of the possible problems. This situation can happen on any operating system after updating, reinstalling, rebooting and while working with a computer / laptop.

The main reasons for the lack of an adapter

There are 2 common reasons why a network adapter disappears from Device Manager:

  • No drivers for network card. In this case, the network card does not work at all. Lack of drivers is a typical problem after reinstalling windows. In rare cases, drivers "fly off" after rebooting the PC, installing malicious software.
  • Network card/cables not connected. Perhaps the card itself is out of order or moved away from the connector. The cable may be plugged into the wrong jack, the plug is loose, or the cable is physically damaged. Sometimes the network adapter is disabled by software.

It is necessary to determine what exactly disabled the adapter in stages. Gradually, the cause of the breakdown is found, corrected.

How to fix it

Checking equipment, installing drivers are carried out according to similar algorithms for all Windows versions released after XP. In Device Manager, the problem appears either total absence equipment in the list, or a label with a yellow triangle and exclamation point.

Checking for Equipment Availability

It is checked whether the adapter is connected and whether it exists in the equipment at all by entering the “ncpa.cpl” command at the command line. The line is called through the Start menu or by pressing the Win + R key combination.

You can also access this window:

  • Clicking right click click on the network icon in the lower right corner of the screen on the taskbar. Select "Network and Sharing Center".
  • Through the control panel. In the "Network and Internet" section there is a link to the same network management window.

The network connections window will open before the user. The window lists all connection options: Wi-Fi, Ethernet and local network connection. If any of them are greyed out with a "Disabled" mark, the problem has been found. Just right-click on the shortcut and select enable.

If there are no items at all in the window, this means that the network card is damaged or there are no drivers for it.

Checking the health of equipment, connectors, cables

Physical damage to hardware is harder to fix than software. The previous section shows an Ethernet connection. If, after turning on, an inscription about detection problems appears under the label, most likely the problem is a physical failure of the board or cable.

The problem can be solved by the following actions:

  • Reinsert the fiber optic cable plug into the connector system block, router or laptop;
  • Disassemble the device, check the network board (if the connection is disconnected after shaking).

The fiber optic is most often affected. Cables are constantly exposed to stress in living quarters - furniture is placed on them, pets step on them, gnaw on them. You need to go along the cable, check it for integrity.

Finding and installing adapter drivers

A driver issue is the most common reason for an adapter not showing up in Device Manager. The absence of drivers appears in Device Manager as a separate section with undefined hardware, marked with a yellow triangle with an exclamation point.

If the drivers have already been installed, you should:

  1. Go to the dispatcher;
  2. Right-click on an item in the list;
  3. Select update in the context menu;
  4. Press search button the right drivers on PC;
  5. In the directory that appears, select the section where the drivers are stored;
  6. Confirm the operation with the OK button.

If the installation is successful, the problem is solved. If suitable software not found, you need to find and install the appropriate drivers.

The main difficulty in this situation is that you need the Internet to download the software. And to connect the Internet, you need software. You can deal with this by downloading drivers on your phone or on the nearest PC where you have network access.

For WiFi adapter

All modern computers and laptops have built-in Wi-Fi adapters. There are several ways to search for drivers:

  • On the website of the equipment manufacturer. If the manufacturer of the network card is known, the drivers will be on their website. On the official resources computer manufacturers also have sections with driver kits for native equipment.
  • By hardware ID. The method is suitable if the owner does not know the manufacturer of the board. You need to go to the dispatcher, call context menu on the point of interest and go to properties. In the details tab, you can view the unique ID. The combination is entered into the search engine. There are several resources where you can find drivers for this data.

The installation of the found software is carried out according to a simple algorithm:

  1. Unpack the installation file (if it is in the archive);
  2. Double-click the left mouse button to launch the installation program;
  3. Follow the instructions of the installer;
  4. Reboot device when finished.

The equipment will be connected and activated, the Internet via Wi-Fi will work.

Windows 7 supports the vast majority of network cards. Moreover, most modern network equipment is sharpened specifically for Windows, with all the ensuing problems, because Windows is not famous for its stability. However, Microsoft promptly solves most of the problems that arise with network equipment, honor and praise to them, but those that inevitably arise will be analyzed in detail in this article.

First of all: in order to expand the potential range of tasks that a client computer performs on a network, there is a need to change the basic parameters of a network card.

Here are examples of such tasks:

How to see a list of available network adapters (network connections) in Windows 7?

The list of available devices on Windows 7 can be seen in two ways:

The second method starts by opening the "Device Manager" using the "Run" window:

Enabling the network card, including using the BIOS

Read the instructions for all BIOS versions in the article -

On laptops, turning the network interface on and off is done by pressing a keyboard shortcut, on desktop computers, through the BIOS menu.

To enable wireless network adapter laptops have a combination of "Fn + F12", although some manufacturers make a special key for this function.

Installing a network driver on Windows 7, including without the Internet

Since the network adapter is equivalent to the Internet, its absence makes it very difficult to download the driver for the network card. The issue is resolved by pre-recording drivers on media.

  1. Drivers are downloaded and written to a flash drive, CD, etc.
  2. The media is connected to the PC.
  3. After that, the "Device Manager" opens, using the "Run" window (called by pressing the "Win + R" keys), in which the "devmgmt.msc" command is entered.

  4. There is a section "Sound, game and video devices", subsection "Unknown device", which is not yet installed. You need to start installing drivers for an unknown device (future network adapter) after selecting it with the right mouse button and selecting it in the "Properties" drop-down menu.

  5. Click the left mouse button - "Update".

  6. Manual setting is selected.

  7. The path to the driver media is written or indicated.

  8. Finally, the installation begins. It takes no more than a couple of minutes.

The network card without drivers in the "Device Manager" was in the section " Unknown devices". After the update, it takes its rightful place - in the "Network Adapters".

Setting up a network connection in Windows 7

Although Internet Service Providers prefer to configure their customers' network equipment themselves, sometimes more advanced configuration is required. This is typical for computers with multiple adapters.

For this:

  1. Go to the context menu "Start", open the "Control Panel".

  2. In the "View" category, set the value to "Category", find and open the "Network and Internet" section.

  3. Click on the "Network and Sharing Center" link. public access».

  4. Click on the "Change adapter settings" link.

  5. Right-click on the network connection shortcut, select "Properties".

  6. Check the box "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)", click on the "Properties" button.

  7. Check the box "Use the following IP address", fill in the fields with data.

    On a note! The fields and "Main gateway" are in the agreement with the Internet provider, the remaining fields contain the same values for all users.

How to view and change network card settings (IP, Mac, and more) in Windows 7?

It is easy to see the adapter parameters and its MAC address thanks to system programs.

For this:

How to reset all network driver settings?

If you want to completely roll back all settings to their original level, then do the following:

Is it possible to create two network cards?

Many users are thinking about getting a second network card. Physically, there are no problems here: most laptops and computers support a second network card. But there are exceptions, as well as damaged slots, as well as netbooks and tablet computers. In this situation, you need to use a virtual board that distributes Internet traffic no worse than a physical one.

The ability to install such virtual card is in the Windows system itself:

  1. In the "Start" menu, type "manager" in the field, open "Device Manager".

  2. In the "Device Manager" click on the "Network adapters" section, select in the very top menu item "Actions", and from the drop-down - item "Install old device".

  3. The installation wizard will open. You need to select the manual option to access the list of drivers for all devices.

  4. Scroll through the categories, select "Network adapters", click "Next".

  5. Then click on the "Micrsoft" item, add "Micrsoft loopback adapter" or "Microsoft Loopback Adapter", which will then appear in the network connections window.

  6. Confirm. The network adapter should now appear in Network Connections.

Complete reset of network drivers

If your Internet is down or most of the Internet pages are not opening, then resetting all parameters and the TCP / IP stack can be an excellent solution to this problem.

Disable network card

To disable the network adapter, the most the best remedy- it's just to use the most standard and convenient Windows tool to contain all such hardware is the device manager. Do the following:

In this case, the shutdown will occur immediately, it will not even be necessary to reboot the OS.

Important! After the adapter is disconnected, the Internet connection will be cut off along with it and there will be a disconnection from the local network. Therefore, it is recommended to finish all your business on the Internet in a timely manner before turning off the network card.

The network adapter does not have valid IP settings

A common problem with Windows users 7 - this is when there are problems with Internet access and the network diagnostic tool displays a message stating that the network adapter does not have valid IP settings.

In this case, you can first try to reset the router. If you have a wired connection, then disable and then re-enable your network-connection in the network connections menu. If this does not help, then you can proceed to the next steps.

Step 1. Renew your IP address - this is the easiest method, although not always helpful in this case. To do this, open Command Prompt (as administrator) and enter the following commands:

Check again if the error is still displayed? If yes, then let's move on.

Step 2 You can try to reset the network settings, namely the IP protocols. The TCP / IP protocol stack is recommended to be reset to factory settings in the most acute cases, when problems arise as a result of actions malware etc. To do this, you need to open in administrator mode command line and enter:

Network card settings crash

When setting up a network, users may encounter the following situation: when the IP address, gateway, DNS are manually entered - the prescribed parameters are not saved, but reset to factory settings, and thus it becomes impossible to change network settings from automatically receiving addresses from the router. One of the common reasons for this is the incorrect removal of an antivirus that has firewall functions.

What should be done:

  1. Reset the TCP/IP protocol stack to factory settings (see how to do this earlier in the article).
  2. Reboot.

If this does not help, then do the following:

After that, the problem should be resolved.

What to do if there are problems with the network card?

Many plug-in network adapters, due to their vulnerability to electricity, can temporarily fail during periods of severe thunderstorms, or power outages in a building. In most cases, difficulties manifest themselves in situations with wired equipment, since multi-storey buildings have long cable routes laid by Internet providers in places not quite intended for this, next to telephone and television cables and wires high voltage. High humidity, dampness and low temperature in this area - all this has an extremely negative effect on the insulation of wires, so breakdowns appear in them. .

Sometimes also, in more rare cases, breakdowns occur due to emergencies like a big thunderstorm. Network adapters often burn out, or users begin to experience difficulty logging into the network. In this case, the equipment will function, but there may be no connection to the Internet during such periods.

Unfortunately, this problem solved only by buying another model of network adapter. For desktop computer complies with the PCI standard, for a laptop - USB and PCMCIA.

It is also not recommended to include a network cable in the router, and then connect a computer to it, because even if the router breaks down, its replacement will be relatively inexpensive compared to replacing the network card built into the computer (or even the entire motherboard).

Windows 7 does not see network adapter

When the integrated network equipment is not shown in either the Network Connections window or the Device Manager, and is not even reflected in the Unknown Devices section (which would be due to the lack of drivers), then something is most likely wrong with it physically. It is possible that some transistors burned out on the network card board, or a chip flew off - in this case, it is more expedient to buy a new card.

Question: Does not see the network adapter

Guys, hello!!!
I do not know what to do! Today, after restarting Windows, a red cross appeared on the connection network! I thought the cable might have come off, but everything is in order with the cable, I checked it - it works! I go further, I go into the device manager, in the network adapter tab, the exclamation mark avast! Firewal (I don’t remember what else), I deleted it without understanding what it was, went further, rebooted Windows, looked at the BIOS, didn’t reveal anything, there was still no connection! Then I removed the network adapter from the manager, rebooted the system, updated the devices in the task manager, nothing appeared in the network adapter, this tab is simply gone!!! Moreover, behind the system unit, the LED blinked green before, as I understand it, when it was working, now everything is muffled, nothing is on! Tried installing drivers from the motherboard. Nothing! Zero point! I roughly understand that you need to install firewood, but I can’t imagine where to find them ????

Question: I fell asleep and cannot wake up the network adapter

Introduction (maybe not related to the problem, but you never know)
To begin with, there were problems in the system with the Visual C ++ libraries that I seemed to have solved, but after that, during the game, a visual artifact flew out to full screen and everything hung, the system did not respond, there were blue stripes on the whole screen. I rebooted, after which the system stopped loading (black screen after loading Windows). I tried to rearrange the video card driver, but it did not work out. In the end, I decided to rearrange Windows because it was already boiling, problems began to appear more and more often.

The essence of the problem.
I put in a new one windows system 7 maximum x64. Copied all the necessary data from Windows folders old and erased it safely. Then I tried to install the network driver in order to gain access to the network and install all the other drivers. The driver didn't install. Instead, he gave me this: "the realtek network controller was not found if deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable"
Got into the Internet to solve the problem, but nothing helped from what I found.
What have you been doing:

  • tried other drivers and driver analysis programs (the latter didn't see the network adapter at all)
  • set in bios standard settings, enabled and disabled the realtek network output (and it is in the BIOS)
  • disconnected the computer from the network and took out the RAM for the whole night to motherboard turned off completely
The device never woke up. I don’t know what to do, how to wake him up, I have no idea, and I’m already completely desperate. I ask for help, can someone come across such a problem?

Answer: Well, at the docks I didn't find what's on board wifi adapter. The description says about support for MSI M-Cloud technology, which allows you to do something like your home cloud - but this is just software solution. To implement it, the docks directly say that you need to have the wireless network module installed:

You must have an active network connection and an installed Wi-Fi module to
enable SoftAP.

So, alas, you need to purchase a wireless card separately.

PS: And install the rest of the uninstalled devices.
