The tablet boom began with universal imitation Apple iPad. However, manufacturers quickly realized that just by imitating Apple, they would not attract buyers, because the buyer would prefer a cheaper original than a more expensive parody (and they simply couldn’t do it cheaper, but at the same quality level). Therefore, manufacturers have tried to equip their devices with features that the iPad does not have. First of all, this concerns the possibility of expanding memory and more connectors, which, together with the openness of the (relative) Google Android OS, gave much more freedom of action than the closed Apple ecosystem. The next step is a higher performance filling than the Apple A4 on which the iPad was built. This is a dual-core single-chip solution designed specifically for tablets and offering processor performance of 1 GHz for each core. Apple, however, quickly gave an adequate response by equipping the iPad 2 Apple processor A5, also dual-core. And on this moment I would not dare to answer the question, who has the most productive filling - the iPad or the tablets on NVIDIA Terga 2. But this result is also worth a lot. In addition, of course, a very important trump card of Apple's competitors was the emergence of the operating system Google Android 3.x, focused specifically on tablets.

Thus, a very clear standard of “a worthy competitor to the iPad” was formed: this is a screen with a diagonal approximately like that of the iPad, with a high-quality matrix (*VA or IPS), NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform and Google Android 3.x OS.

Several devices based on this standard have already been released this year (Acer Iconia Tab, Asus Eee Pad Transformer), and several more will be released in the near future. Among the most notable novelties of the "second generation" of Android tablets are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and. The first of them came to us for testing even before hitting the store shelves.

Note that two types of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets will go on sale in Russia - GT-P7510FKDSER with Wi-Fi only and GT-P7500FKDSER with a 3G module. In other markets, the model without a 3G module is marked as GT-P7510MAVXAB.

I must say that with the release of the first tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab (with a screen diagonal of 7 inches) last fall, Samsung achieved a very important goal: it fixed in the minds of people the opinion that an Android tablet is primarily Samsung. As a matter of fact, in terms of sales, the Galaxy Tab was just the undisputed leader among Android tablets (although it lagged behind the iPad many times over). But then Samsung did not have such serious competitors as Acer, Asus and others. Let's see how the situation is now, and how the new revision of the Galaxy Tab fits in order to secure Samsung's position in this market segment.

Immediately make a reservation that this article does not claim to be an exhaustive study; in the future, we plan to develop the topic, in particular, with the help of detailed videos about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet.

Design

Since we tested the sample for the press, the tablet came to us completely "naked" - without a box and accessories.

Concerning appearance, then it should be noted that all the tablets of the iPad era are very similar to each other. Take at least the lack of hardware buttons on the front surface. Tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is consistent with this trend. But still, it has one significant difference from the iPad: a plastic case ( Apple tablet encased in an aluminum case). Whether this difference is considered an advantage or a disadvantage is up to the buyers to decide. But thanks to the plastic, the tablet was made lighter - only 565 grams (the main competitor has 601 grams)! In terms of thickness, Samsung is also a little (albeit quite a bit) bypasses Apple - 8.6 versus 8.8 mm. It is curious that initially the tablet had to have other dimensions - less attractive. But after the announcement of the iPad 2 in early March, Samsung recalled the almost finished devices and decided to improve their parameters. Of course, this delayed the release of the second generation of the Galaxy Tab family of tablets to the market, but I believe that consumers and the industry as a whole have only benefited from this. Because today Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the thinnest and lightest in the world (among tablets with the same screen size).

The back surface of the tablet that was tested is white, but the edging of the edges is silver (aluminum).

There is also a modification of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, made in, and the case design in it is significantly different. So you can choose what you like best.

With connectors and expansion options, the situation is sad: in addition to the standard headphone jack, there is only one single proprietary connector used for charging, connecting to a computer and connecting with accessories.

The first Galaxy Tab had at least a microSD card slot. This is not here either. However, we tested the version without 3G. And in the version with 3G, there is a microSD slot (you will see the version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet with a 3G module in our videos). A strange decision (perhaps only concerning pre-production samples)! Otherwise, everything is similar to the seven-inch Galaxy Tab tablet: there are speakers on the left and right, on top there is an on / off button and a volume rocker.

Operating system and programs

Your tablet is running the latest version of the operating system. Google systems Android - 3.1. Initially, it was planned to release a new generation of "tabs" with Android 3.0, but when the decision was made to postpone the release, it became clear that it was necessary to release already with new version OS, especially since a number of serious flaws were found in 3.0. We tested the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet already with Android 3.1, but this engineering sample, so the firmware of the “store” copies may differ slightly (it is possible that tablets with Android 3.2 will already go on sale).

So, the main thing to pay attention to is the TouchWiz shell. Samsung puts its own skin on all of its Android devices, and Galaxy tablet Tab 10.1 is no exception. True, if in the case of Android 2.2 (in the first Galaxy Tab) it really was a necessity (it was already very far android interface 2.x from the standards set by iOS), then in Android 3.x the interface itself is quite successful. And it cannot be said that the Samsung shell made it outwardly more attractive - just a little different, in the style of Samsung. On the other hand, originality, in this case, does not come at the expense of convenience, and this is commendable.

As for the functional part, here the TouchWiz shell really adds some nice features, such as: “hubs” (aggregators of certain types of content, for example, Social Hub for email and messages from social networks), a button for taking screenshots (on the test copy it did not work in all applications and was unstable), as well as a set of widgets (weather, main contacts, mail, news, etc.) and fast access to a number of programs that opens with a “tap” (or, if you like, “click”) on the arrow in the center of the bottom line of service icons (in Samsung terminology, they are called Mini Apps).

These "mini-programs" include: Task Manager, Calendar, World Clock, Pen memo, Calculator, and Music. Of particular note is the first of them - the Task Manager.

As you know, the Android 3.x OS itself "decides" when the application should be closed and unloaded from memory. That is, when you close it yourself, the application still continues to hang in RAM for some time. So the Task Manager just allows you to close unnecessary applications immediately, freeing up space in RAM.

And, by the way, it shows interesting information: according to the Task Manager, 724 MB of RAM is available for software in the tablet (in general, 1 GB of RAM is installed in the Galaxy Tab 10.1), while if you clear the memory of all applications in the background, 379 will remain occupied MB (accordingly, they are used by the operating system and service services). If you do not clear the memory and work as usual (without abusing multitasking), then 500-600 MB will be occupied. That is, the stock remains, in general, very small.

The space of the “home” desktop is very conveniently organized in the TouchWiz shell: from five screens we can get quick access to letters, news (although on the test copy these were English-language resources), several Internet bookmarks, stock prices, several contacts, as well as updates from social networks (Social Hub widget). All this is provided by widgets, the location of which we can change at our discretion.

Among the pre-installed apps that don't come standard with Android 3.x are: Polaris Office (an office suite), Pulse News (an app for reading news feeds), Pen memo (handwritten notes), uTalk (a messenger), and Samsung Apps (a proprietary score Samsung apps). And, as already noted, three "hubs" - Social Hub, Readers Hub (book and press aggregator) and Music Hub (music aggregator).

Screen

The main feature of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet is a screen on a new type of matrix - PLS (Plane to Line Switching). The Super PLS matrix was announced by Samsung relatively recently, and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the first devices with such a screen. PLS is supposed to be an alternative to IPS and in some ways these displays are superior to IPS type displays. In particular, Samsung specialists managed to increase the brightness by 10% (compared to IPS) and increase the viewing angles (compared to TN-matrices). It is noteworthy that the cost of production of new displays is 15% lower than the cost of IPS panels of the same size. The screen resolution of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is 1280x800 pixels.

Samsung has learned from the complaints about the first Galaxy Tab, which, at a sky-high price (in the first weeks of sales), had a regular TN matrix, while the cheaper iPad used an IPS matrix. Note that Samsung still did not equip the second generation of its tablets with proprietary AMOLED or Super AMOLED matrices (not to mention Super AMOLED Plus, which are used in Galaxy smartphones SII). Apparently, this would not allow setting a competitive price for the device. So that pls matrix- a good way out. The picture is bright, clear, practically not “blinding” in the sun, although the viewing angles are still not outstanding. And of course, it cannot be said that the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is fundamentally better than that of the iPad, Acer Iconia Tab or Asus Eee Pad Transformer. But you can’t put an equal sign between them either: since the types of matrices are different, and the number of dots per inch is slightly different, then various types(surfing the web, watching movies, playing games, etc.), tablet screens may behave differently. So we will definitely return to this issue and conduct a full-fledged comparative testing of the screens of modern tablets - already using specialized tools. In the meantime, we note that the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet supports multitouch gestures, including the original gesture: if you press two fingers on the screen and rotate it horizontally away from you, the image scale will increase, if towards you, it will decrease.

Performance

So, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet is built on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform, which includes two processor cores with a frequency of 1 GHz. The declared amount of RAM is 1 GB. Flash memory capacity varies from 16 to 64 GB, while in models with a 3G module, flash memory can be expanded by using microSD cards. In general, we have a typical hardware configuration for a tablet in 2011, there is even nothing special to comment on here. Here are the results of two tests that were run on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and its closest competitors.

We also tried to run the Linpack test on the Galaxy Tab 10.1, but the tablet showed an incorrect result - apparently, this firmware not yet supported by the test.

As for subjective impressions, no “brakes” were noticed in applications, but the OS interface itself does not always work smoothly - which we again tend to attribute to raw firmware (because the power of NVIDIA Tegra 2 for the needs of Android 3.x quite enough).

Offline work

In the "normal" use mode (Wi-Fi on, surfing the Internet using a browser, working with email, sometimes watching YouTube videos, sometimes reading electronic texts) the tablet worked for almost 10 hours.

In the maximum load mode (watching a video, with Wi-Fi turned off), the battery lasted almost 9 hours. In both battery life test modes, the screen brightness level was set to 50%.

So, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 demonstrates very good battery life! Like the iPad, you can take it on a transatlantic flight and enjoy reading and watching movies most of the way.

cameras

Not wanting to lag behind competitors, Samsung has equipped the second generation of "tabs" with two cameras - rear and front.

But the resolution of the rear camera let us down: only 3 megapixels (Acer Iconia Tab A500 and Asus Eee Pad Transformer have 5 megapixels). True, the iPad 2 has an even lower resolution - only 0.7 megapixels ... However, it is worth recognizing that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet camera takes photos much better than the iPad 2 camera, and is quite on par with the Acer Iconia Tab A500 and Asus Eee Pad tablets transformer.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a flash, autofocus and many shooting modes, including, for example, panorama shooting.

The video is shot at a resolution of 720p, the quality is also decent, but the size of a 30-second video is slightly larger (47 MB) than the video of the same length and resolution from the Asus Eee Pad Transformer (39.5 MB).

Front-camera tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a resolution of 2 megapixels.

conclusions

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the contenders for leadership among Android tablets in the second half of the year. Its trump cards include a screen made according to new technology PLS, good battery life, Android 3.1 OS with proprietary TouchWiz shell and, of course, record-breaking thinness and weight. However, these trump cards will "play" only if the price is competitive. As a "bar" above which you can not rise, we estimate the cost of the iPad 2 in a similar configuration. At the time of writing, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (minimum configuration - without 3G, 16 GB flash memory capacity) was available for pre-order in Euroset and cost 18,990 rubles. A similar iPad 2 from the largest official reseller is sold for the same price. Well, for starters, not bad, but albeit a small one, but the price advantage would play into the hands of both the manufacturer and potential owners of the tablet. Buyers will compare the cost of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 not only with the iPad 2, but also with two other Android 3.x tablets - the Acer Iconia Tab A500 and the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. It's no secret that the cost of a product is a very important factor to consider when making a purchase decision. However, it can be stated that in the shelf of worthy tablets on Android based 3.x has arrived.

For the record, at the moment, parameters of thickness and mass, we award Samsung tablet Galaxy Tab 10.1 Original Design award.

Our video reviews of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

13.03.2012

It is very difficult to write reviews of devices that you do not use in everyday real life. I use a smartphone. E-Ink-reader - too. laptop. Computer. Exercise bike. Microwave. Refrigerator. Tablet - no. I know and believe that tablets are cool. And my nine-year-old son is not himself at all before them. The appearance in the house of the next test product of this type certainly entails almost continuous attempts to usurp it - watch cartoons, solve puzzles, play toys, etc. For the sake of the tablet, the child is even ready (you won’t believe it!) To go to bed on time! Laptops have never dreamed of such popularity among the younger generation!

What about me? Well, this time I remembered that, they say, tablets are very convenient together with a sofa. The tablet is on top, the sofa is on the bottom, the person is in the middle. I tried to apply this knowledge in practice. But... It didn't work. Uncomfortable. Maybe my computer chair is too comfortable? I also tried to surf the Internet from an exercise bike. Pretty funny feeling.

I know. The tablet can be used as a navigator, typewriter, camera, audio player, video player, reader, it is comfortable to tweet from it from a warm city toilet. But somehow, most of these tasks are solved for me by other devices - the smartphone, reader and laptop listed above. From which I still will not refuse, even if I get myself a tablet. Except perhaps from the toilet ... But somehow I rarely sit up there. However, I am not all. I have an archive of mail on my laptop, which, sometimes, I need even in deep offline. Yes, and I can type even on a poor laptop keyboard much faster than on the actual best tablet(blind typing, yes). But if neither one nor the other is particularly critical for you, then here the tablet may turn out to be a very good option for replacing a laptop. And at the same time, it can inadvertently replace the reader with itself.

The hero of our story, Samsung P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1, is a very good representative of the tablet tribe.

Acquaintance

Ten inches of a good but glossy screen, a little over half a kilo of weight, high-quality, beautiful, but slippery case, gig of RAM, 16 gigs of internal memory (not expandable), dual-core processor, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and other full stuffing, two cameras ... Non-standard USB, inability to connect mice and other peripherals, inability to make calls, non-removable battery. More than 20 thousand rubles as of January 2012. Expensive toy of excellent quality. Very predictable.

good and detailed description Galaxy Tab P7500 and software installed on it, including android version 3.x, made six months ago by Alex Exler. I recommend reading it, especially since I don’t plan to repeat it too much. And in general, reviews of this tablet have already accumulated more than enough - only Russian-speaking more than a dozen. Instead of colorfully describing the location of buttons on the case and icons on the desktop, I'll try to talk a little about the various uses of tablets in general and the hero of our story in particular.

Unboxing

Screen

Screen, of course, wow. The truth is very brilliant wow, but still wow. (Who would explain to me this idiotic hobby for glossy screens? ..) Viewing angles are gorgeous, and in all directions. Multitouch supports up to ten simultaneous touches. (I wonder if there are programs that need this? Piano simulators, or what?)

Yes. The screen gets very dirty. And I turned off the auto-contrast out of harm's way. Otherwise, the brightness from time to time starts to jump strongly, straining your eyesight quite decently.

Iron

The speed of the tablet was quite enough for any tasks that it occurred to me to charge it (it never occurred to drive a multi-gigabyte movie, no ...) What else is needed for happiness?

The tablet did not want to install a "normal" USB connection with the computer. Those. when connected as an additional drive is not recognized. Instead, some kind of MTP connection occurs. I did not understand him in detail. But in standard windows explorer The tablet appears and it is quite possible to drive files. Well, on a tablet with home computer I generally adapted the files through the ES-explorer installed on the tablet to drag - right through the Wi-Fi mesh.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P7500 - internet on the couch

I was uncomfortable with a half-kilogram Galaxy Tab on the couch. A pound with a tail is quite weighty when you hold it on weight. And it is inconvenient when you simultaneously click on the screen. And it is not clear how to attach it more comfortably. And it slips out - slippery Maybe there are special covers that solve this sofa problem? Or what kind of stand to invent? Or hanging from the ceiling? Reading Twitter, climbing sites - well, in principle, it is quite possible. The screen size for such things is very comfortable, of course. Ten inches and a resolution of 1280x800 is enough to view modern sites. Well, if where the font is too small - to increase the desired area - no problem.

What annoyed me on the couch. Firstly, when scrolling through the pages of sites, I constantly touched the notification area with the thumb of my right hand, which in the third android lives exactly in the lower right corner. Those. you can not stupidly swipe your finger across the screen, starting right from the side, from the bottom edge. You need to aim. Uncomfortable.

Second, you can't connect a mouse. There's just nowhere. And without it, I'm not very happy in places. Especially when you need to constantly select pieces of text and copy them somewhere. And quite often this is exactly what I need. And when this is necessary at least ten times in a row, I'd better get to the computer. It's sad, considering that the ability to connect usb mice is present, for example, in very inexpensive tablets from teXet. And here - no. Perhaps you can connect bluetooth mice, but I haven’t got such ones in my household yet. So I can't say anything about it.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P7500 - internet outside the home

A tablet without the ability to access the Internet via 3G is categorically wrong. 3G is strictly required. Preferably in the form of a SIM card stuffed inside the tablet. At worst, the ability to connect via usb modem. The P7500 has, by the way, a twin brother P7510, which can connect to the Internet exclusively via Wi-Fi. Poor fellow ... But it's three or four thousand cheaper. Well, the P7500 with 3G is in perfect order.

I don’t know about you - but I constantly encounter situations in my life when I need something from the World Wide Web outside my home. Departure time of the last metro train, phone number or shop address. I'm not talking about all the twitters that you can read on the subway. If you don’t have a tablet with you, a smartphone goes into battle (in fact, the same android tablet, only a small one). But on a seven-ten inch device, surfing the net is, of course, more pleasant. So for off-site Internet access good tablet definitely a find.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P7500 as a reader

As I already mentioned, the P7500's screen shines like... In general, it shines. If not for this sad feature, it would be very pleasant to read. Fortunately, the screen quality is excellent. Well, exactly as pleasant as it can be to read from such screens. As for me, they are very far from good E-Ink. But you can’t take away the colored ones. Installed Cool Reader, revered. All OK.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P7500 as a dialer

Despite the ability to shove a real sim card inside, you won’t be able to use this tablet as a phone. On the one hand, it probably doesn't hurt, and it's necessary. On the other hand, it is completely incomprehensible why such an artificial restriction should be introduced. Some time ago I quite successfully used a megaphone tablet as the main and the only mobile phone. If you have a bluetooth headset - why not, in fact?

Well, it definitely won't work here. Maybe in the latest firmware this feature will be added? For now, only Skype and others like it remain. Skype downloaded, installed, tried. Everything works fine, even the video.

But the Galaxy Tab did not want to be friends with a bluetooth headset (Nokia BH-217). Those. connect, they connected with each other, but the sound still stubbornly went on external speakers tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P7500 as a navigator

GPS is, 3G - too. What else do you need? It is a little strange to use such a bandura as a pedestrian navigator ... Moreover, you need to hold it with both hands. But as car navigator- why not? The screen is big and bright. Feel free to poke your fingers. The main thing is that the review does not block too much. Only you need a place for fastening as it should be organized - so that a valuable toy does not strive to go flying with excessively sharp braking. You can try to search for all sorts of holders on eBay (for example, by query "car holder galaxy tab 10.1").

Samsung Galaxy Tab P7500 as a video player

For my taste, one of the most promising uses for tablets. In transport, in line at the savings bank, on a dark rainy evening in the country, when the lights suddenly turned off ... Etc. To show films / cartoons to a child is also quite. Download the Holmes-Livanov series and send it to the room - an hour of calm is relatively guaranteed. If the screen did not glare, the ideal portable TV would be.

In the light, good pictures are obtained, in poor lighting, not very 6. The charge holds for 2 days, but I think because I do not let go of it. I can’t say about the charging time, because. I put it on charge for the night and on the first "beep" I turn it off from charging 7. The video shows excellent 8. The games all go without problems 9. Functionality: there is everything you need - Internet, office, video, audio, games.

I chose, according to the characteristics: - operating time - ease - price - access to the Internet and navigation - memory expansion It works as promised for 10 hours, with the screen brightness settings set in automatic mode. By weight, the tablets, as it turned out, are almost the same - around half a kilo. . About the expansion, see the disadvantages) Connects to the computer for two times, as regular flash drive, plays native avi, mp3, etc. files that we are used to working with in Windows.

    1. This is a juicy large display with a resolution of 1280x800 (like on a laptop), compared to Acer Iconia Tab A500 / 501, the Samsung display looks livelier and brighter (in general, among tablets, the display is still the best in quality)2. Excellent touchscreen, excellent touch response3. Powerful battery: it's not so easy to kill her, if the movies are definitely enough for 7-8 hours, the games were enough for 64 hours. The stereo speakers are not bad, but not ideal, compared to competitors, this is the best option5. The speed of work is high thanks to Nvidia Tegra 2, the menu flies, web surfing is very fast (this is especially noticeable in comparison with single-core brothers on Android), thoughtfulness is minimal6. Nvidia Tegra2 was essentially designed with gaming in mind, so recently released games like 9 mm and Shadowgun are surprising in a way never seen before on mobile.

    1. Most importantly, the battery life with the September firmware is almost completely close to the first Ipad.2. Assembly and body materials: Nothing creaks anywhere. Feels good in the hand, thanks to the softtouch on the back cover. Very thin. Lighter than iPad2. Good screen.3. Functionality: Less "dancing with a tambourine" around working with ftp (Total Commander with plugins is similar to the usual one for PC). Ability to play flash. Through the whistle-usb host "eats" almost all flash drives. Again, without dancing and jailbreak, like on Ipad. Ability to directly copy files to and from a computer. Etc. etc. Office Applications clearly better than the iPad. Again, no restrictions on downloading / copying / sending.4. Perfectly plays online movies (September firmware - on the originally installed

This tablet was given to me a year ago. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I got used to it, I really liked it. My memory is enough. Lots of free apps. Easy to take with you to class of English language and show the student clips, songs, programs. I went to Kyiv, the tablet helped me wonderfully. New Year met with friends on Skype, made free calls from the hotel anywhere via wi-fi, wonderful maps of any city in the world. Lots of photo editing apps that I like more than even photoshop. Images are stylish and bright. The screen works smoothly great programs radio with radio stations from all over the world, music is always there. Programs for viewing TV channels. The more I know the tablet, the more it becomes pleasant. The camera is not bad, you can safely take pictures

    1. YouTube video shows only in one position of the screen. If I want to flip the tablet, then it rotates back. I think they'll fix it.
    2. there are reflections in the sun or bright lights.
    3. in the original case, the work with the camera is not thought out. have to hold on top cover the letter G. although, if you listen in the horizontal plane, everything is a little simpler.
    4. it is not possible to enter commands for the telecom operator to check the balance of the SIM card

graphics speed, work of preinstalled browser and office suite, computer connection, stability
UPD: the problem with the refusal to connect was solved by cleaning up one line of the registry. Now the data transfer rate is the traditional 5.5 MB/s.
UPD2: problems with unexpected waking up from hibernation and with unsmooth video playback are resolved in new firmware 3.2. The device began to hold a charge even longer.

personally, in my opinion, the standard browser slows down, I replenished it with opera. I like to travel - I was surprised by the lack of free navigation in Greece, even though Google maps work with a bang. for flash cards.

    1. The battery takes a long time to charge.
    2. Insufficiently flexible settings. For example, while I can not configure access to corporate network by VPN.
    3. The inability to update the software over the air.
    4. The rear camera is so-so, which is not critical.
    5. There is no regular card reader and / or USB, the adapter will save.

the screen is blurry - it’s water only when it’s turned off so it doesn’t soar .. the hd video on some files slows down a bit, but such files are rarely served. I suffered a little with connecting to a PC. removable disk go-settings-applications-development-debugging usb (tick). 2 days looking for a solution

    1. When connected with a cable to a laptop, it does not connect at all. (it will be necessary to try to connect to a computer or through Kies)
    2. Not always connected via bluetooth
    3. If animated wallpaper is installed, it slows down the desktop
    4. Not all video formats are supported

Perhaps the only drawback is not expandable memory. But you can buy from us in some kind of m-video or a connected adapter-card reader for 750r or order on ebay for 150 - which I actually did and here's the memory expansion for you via flash drives.
In terms of smooth response, the screen is slightly inferior to the iPad, then for the difference in 7t.r. it's not noticeable at all

    1. There is no slot for memory cards (and is this in the flagship of Samsung?) 2. There are no standard connectors (HDMI, USB) - this is the most significant drawback of all, the problem can be solved if you buy adapters for SD cards, HDMI, USB, the price of each is within $ 20. Already ordered a USB3. Time full charge Batteries are about 4.5 hours, but the joke is that if you watch a movie or play while charging, the battery runs out faster than it charges! the screen is so gluttonous that we don’t let the battery capacity accumulate, as a result, on the supplied charge, if the device at this moment uses the battery well, it will steadily sit down without having time to charge4. Sometimes, when performing resource-intensive tasks, it can specifically think, not reacting to the touchscreen, followed by a spontaneous reboot5. Camera medium 3.2

    1. Do iPad is better aspect ratio. Samsung is narrower and longer. I did not like it. Less text fits in the landscape view, and in the portrait view the font is smaller with the same amount of information displayed as on the ipad
    2. Worse than Ipad responsiveness to pressing. Not by much, but still. Appears when you click in the browser on small elements of pages. You have to increase.
    3. In some places the system slows down. But not critical.
    4. The built-in regular browser is clearly worse than the regular browser on HTC Desire Z. It is also less nimble when surfing than the iPad.
    5. There is no way to update the firmware via Wifi. As conceived by Samsung, everything should happen over the wire through a wretched PC program - Kies. Who did not want to see (and I am no exception) my tablet when connected and does not give a floor

Browsers, indeed, sometimes buggy before rebooting. Sometimes several times a day, sometimes not at all. I still think it's pricey.
