- a low quality cable with a thin inner core, does not provide a tight contact when connected to the receiver or to the "DiSEgC" switch;

- the cable is docked not with a standard coupling, but with a "collective farm" twist;

- a low-quality cable is used that is not adequately shielded (metal braid and foil).

The cable does not pass the signal at all if:

- F-plugs at the ends of the wire are wound incorrectly or, due to the influence of dampness and oxidation of the metal, there is no normal contact;

— the cable is damaged;

- the cable is connected to a wall outlet designed for cable television;

The cable can cause poor switching of channels with different polarization if:
