7. Hopelessness or hopelessness?

The whole time I used the iPhone 7, I felt like I was holding a prototype iPhone from the future (there are a lot of rumors about a major redesign) disguised as an iPhone 6. All these bold bets on the future look exciting, but here in the present you have to use an iPhone 7 in a case - and it seems like it's just an iPhone 6s with a strange home button and extra adapters.

This iPhone will leave a mark on the history of technology, and will serve as the basis for many important changes in how phones work and fit into our lives. We will remember the iPhone 7. But a truly useful future will be built on this foundation by the next iPhones.
