Equipment

  • Headset
  • Cable for charging the device from a computer
  • Neck strap
  • detailed instructions

The device comes in a compact blister pack. In comparison with previous generations, we decided to abandon the headset bundle with a separate charger, which, in my opinion, is a minus.

Appearance, controls, assembly

Previous MicrON models were made in the form of miniature phones, but in the third generation they decided to follow the path of simplification and abandoned all unnecessary buttons and displays.

Externally, the device looks like an unusual compact "gadget". The manufacturer on the official website uses a comparison with a credit card, but it is only relevant in terms of dimensions, but it’s very problematic to say what the MicrON 3 looks like if you don’t know its purpose.

Most of the front side is occupied by two plastic plates, separated by a transparent block of keys. The bezel of the device is silver in the white version, dark brown in the black version.

The speaker is located at the top of the headset.

Just below the center, you can see three buttons made of transparent plastic and a microphone hole. The side keys are responsible for changing the volume, and the central one is for receiving a call. It's funny that in my white version of the headset the buttons were pressed very tightly, but in the black version there was no such problem.

An LED is also installed above the transparent panel. It blinks once every six seconds in blue, lights up red when charging, and when making a call, their quick “blink” is used.

At the bottom there is a connector for charging the device.

At the back is a slot for the included strap.

There will be four color modifications of the headset on sale: black, white, white-blue and white-pink. It is important to note that the white version is made of glossy plastic, while the black version is made of matte rubberized.

I had both a black and a white sample on the test. The white part of the front plastic plate slightly departed, but there were no complaints about the assembly of the black one.

Dimensions

The size of the device is slightly smaller than a credit card, but if you put three cards on top of each other, then their thickness will be the same as that of this headset. The weight of the "miniphone" is only 38 grams, thanks to which you can comfortably communicate with it even for a long time.

  • BB-Mobile MicroON-3- 90x53x7 mm, weight 38 grams
  • BB-Mobile MicroON-2- 104x38x12 mm, weight 17 grams
  • BB-Mobile MicroON- 88x40x5 mm, weight 15 grams

As you can see, the novelty has become twice as heavy, but it feels like the difference between 17 and 38 grams in the hand is not very noticeable.

Connection and control

The device uses Bluetooth v3.0, class 2. Using the headset, you can receive incoming calls, put them on hold and call back the last called subscriber. Also, the headset can work with desktop computers, only in the settings you must first select it as the main microphone and speaker. The radius of comfortable use is 2-2.5 meters, further (indoors) interference begins and the quality of communication deteriorates. The headset supports two devices at the same time, there are no complaints about this function.

The list of functions performed by the three buttons is quite impressive. Below, let me quote you from the instructions, describing in as much detail as possible all the actions of the buttons and the LED:

Make a call to the last dialed number
In Idle mode, press the headset multifunction key twice quickly.

Change volume
While talking through the headset, press the volume up or down keys on the headset.

Switch from headset to phone or vice versa
While talking through the headset, press and hold its multifunction key for 1 second.

Put current call put on hold
During a call, press the multifunction key and the headset volume up key at the same time. A melody will sound in the opponent's handset until you press the same key combination again or terminate the connection.

Manage two incoming calls
If another call comes in during one conversation, you will hear a double sound signal once every 5 seconds. To answer a call and put the current call on hold, simultaneously press the volume up multifunction key on your headset. To reject the second call, press the headset multifunction key twice quickly. To switch between calls, press the multifunction key and volume up key on the headset again. If you already have two connections and another call comes in, you can accept it by briefly pressing the multifunction key of the headset once. This will terminate the active connection.

Mute microphone
During a call, press the headset multifunction key twice quickly. The headset speaker will beep twice once within 5 seconds. To turn on the microphone, repeat a quick double press of the multi-function key.

Delete the list of connected main devices
In Idle mode, press and hold the multifunction key and the headset volume up key at the same time for 5 seconds.

Check battery level
If the headset is on but this moment is not used for a conversation, press the volume up and down keys on it at the same time. The battery charge level is displayed by flashing the red indicator: 1 time - the charge is low, 2 times - the charge is medium, 3 times - the battery is charged.

Also, despite the presence of only two colors of the LED, the headset has big number operations, about which these diodes inform.

amazingly detailed and detailed instructions for a device for a thousand rubles. Those wishing to see her full version can follow the link. However, as you understand regular user it is unlikely to go into the complexity of the instructions, however, even if you do not read it, then the intuitiveness of the work does not raise questions (if we are talking about banal functions, such as answering a call, calling back a subscriber or changing the volume level).

Battery life

The headset has a non-removable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 420 mAh. The manufacturer claims up to 250 hours of standby time and up to 10 hours of talk time.

Surprisingly, for once, the numbers from the official website turned out to be true. I used the headset for about 10 days with a constant Bluetooth connection and talked for about 40 minutes, as a result, the device still had about half the charge.

By the way, you can check the battery charge by simultaneously pressing the two volume keys:

  • 3 blinks - the headset is charged,
  • 2 blinks - medium charge,
  • 1 blink - low battery.

From the computer, the device charges for about four hours.

Voice quality and speaker

When using the headset paired with a smartphone, there are no complaints about speech transmission, you and your interlocutor hear each other perfectly. But in conjunction with a computer and Skype, everything is not so smooth: they hear you perfectly, but you hear the voice of the interlocutor with a characteristic background noise.

The call speaker is very loud, it is interesting that when incoming call, both the smartphone itself and the headset ring.

Conclusion and personal impressions

The cost of the headset is 1,000 rubles, and it is already sold in retail.

I liked that the device costs half as much as the previous miniphone, I was pleased with the materials in the black version, and, of course, I was pleasantly surprised by the time battery life.

I didn't like that BB-Mobile went down the path of simplification. Personally, I expected completely different functions from the third MicrON. I assumed that the company will increase the screen size and optimize the phone book that is synchronized with the device. I expected that with the help of the new “miniphone” I would be able not only to make full-fledged calls, but also send SMS from the device and (maybe) even see the latest notifications. I thought that, among other things, they would improve the work with headphones and add simple plugs to the kit. Instead, almost all interesting features were removed from the third version (number buttons, screen, 3.5 mm jack) and the bundle was reduced to a minimum.

However, the company can also be understood. It is quite possible that there are much more people who want to have a cheap Bluetooth handset for their tablet or smartphone than geeks who would be interested in the option I described.

Bottom line, if you're looking for a cheap companion phone to your calling tablet, then the MicrON-3 is perfect for that role.

Evgeny Vildiaev (

Hello dear readers!
Today I will try, by virtue of my modest capabilities, to talk about a not very ordinary device. When I showed it to my friends, in 90% of cases the first question was - "What is it?". The second question was, "Why is that?" Let's try to figure it out.

Indeed, why such a headset format? The headset is most often bought in order to free your hands. For example, in a car, when the hands are busy driving. But not everyone is comfortable to constantly wear in their ear, even if it is a very nice device. So what can such a headset be useful for?
First: The manufacturer claims that the use of a headset minimizes the effect of radiation mobile phone per person. Or as it is written on their website: Only 1/3000 from the radiation of a mobile device. The factor of the negative impact of mobile phone radiation on human health has not yet been studied enough to be able to reliably state something. But the International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified mobile phone electromagnetic radiation as "possibly carcinogenic to humans." That is, it is highly likely that the frequent use of a mobile phone in close proximity to the upper part of a person, where some people have a brain, can greatly harm both the brain in particular and the person as a whole. Use of wired and wireless headsets reduces this risk. Especially considering that a wireless headset can be used at a distance of up to 10 meters from the phone. Of course, the headset also emits electromagnetic radiation, but its power compared to a mobile phone is like a sneeze of a cockroach.
Second: Highly recommended for those who constantly use the tablet. Have you also seen these Cheburashki pressing a huge shovel to their ear? It is much more convenient to talk using such a device. Moreover, it is lightweight, relatively inexpensive and very easy to use.
Well, the third: It's just a very elegant and unusual accessory.
We figured this out, and now let's go directly to the hero of the occasion.

Transmission frequency: 2.4-2.48GHz;

The box lists the main specifications and features.

In general, it is a sin for Qumo to complain about designers, their boxes always turn out well.
The truth is amused on the back of the box in technical specifications:
Working voltage: 3.3-3.4V;
Talk current: 14 mA;
Standby current: 1 mA.
In general, the operating voltage of the built-in battery is 3.7V (well, it is written on the battery that it is 3.7V, in reality, a fully charged 4.1V). And we will return to the current strength, but the user probably does not need to know this. Although it gives a serious and smart look to the package. Once again, bravo to the developers.
Open, the headset itself is in a transparent blister.
Included:
Headset;
USB charging cable;
User's manual;
Warranty card.

All pieces of paper are written in competent and sane Russian text. Moreover, only in Russian, that is, you don’t have to look for necessary information among the Arab worms and all sorts of sprehensidoutsch. Again, a plus for the manufacturer.

Visual inspection
First of all, when you pick up this headset, you want to exclaim, - "Oh my God! What a light one!" Indeed, the headset weighs only 19 grams.
On the side of the box it says that the thickness is only 6 mm. This is true. In the thinnest place, the thickness of the headset is really as follows. Although this is still some craftiness - to measure in the thinnest place and be proud of it. It's like the thickness of a girl (beautiful ladies will forgive me for my clumsy style) measured by the thickness of an ankle or a finger. I gave the dimensions in the specifications.

I got a pink headset for review. The color is pleasant, but more suitable for the beautiful half of humanity. Although there are several different color options for the body of this headset.

__________________________________________________________________________
Main surface - Soft-touch coating. The headset is very comfortable and pleasant to hold in your hand.
On the inside of the speaker and microphone holes and a pair of buttons to increase and decrease the volume.
_________________________________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________________
You can adjust the volume with these buttons only by taking the handset away from your ear. That is, adjusted before the conversation and use it. On all smartphones and phones, there have long been adjustment buttons on the side, and not only because the screen is in the center, but because an emergency situation may occur during a conversation. For example, a diesel locomotive is passing by or a neighbor decided to have fun with a puncher and you need to adjust the volume during the conversation. And it is more convenient to do it with the buttons on the side.
On the back side there is one very multifunctional button and a nice ornament, which for some reason reminded me of who showed Kuz'kin's mother to everyone at the last Olympiad.

The device is charged from USB using a cable. Unfortunately, the plug is cylindrical, the outer diameter is 2 mm.

Another lace! I already have a bunch of all sorts of mini and micro USB class A and B sitting on the pipe, and now another lace. I think it was possible to try to fit the micro USB connector into the dimensions of the device. And so, in addition to the fact that the number of necessary cables used in everyday life is increasing, even if, say, a cat gnaws on this cable, it will be very difficult to find a replacement.

At work.

__________________________________________________________________________
There were no problems with connecting to devices.
__________________________________________________________________________

__________________________________________________________________________
This is considering that I carried it with me for a couple of days and tried to connect all my friends to mobile devices.
In fact, the headset has only one control button - on the back, in the form of a tube. It is with the help of it that all operations are performed.
Press for 3 seconds- The headset is turned on or off.
Short press- Answer an incoming call or end a call during a call or use voice control mobile device.
Key holding- pairing mode with a mobile device.
Short double press- dialing the last dialed number.
All actions are accompanied by LED indication. Two LEDs, at the bottom, blue and red.
Rapid flashing blue- turn on the headset.
Rapid flashing red- turn off the headset.
Blue flashes every 5 seconds- Standby mode.
Double blinking of the blue LED with a period of 3 seconds- standby mode, the headset is not connected to the device.
Alternate flashing blue and red- search mode.
Flashing red LED- Requires charging.
When charging is connected:
Red - charging in progress.
Blue - the battery is charged.
Comfortable distance at which you can talk 5-6 meters with line of sight.
Support for Skype is declared. It really is. The headset also connects to the computer without problems.

___________________________________________________________________________
In Skype, the interlocutor is well heard. Again, the acceptable distance from the computer when there is no interference is about 5-6 meters. In principle, I heard normally from 10 meters, but the interlocutor complained that I disappeared from time to time.
Disassembly
The device is very easy to disassemble. Snap body. A minute of work with a plastic spatula and you have two halves in your hands.
__________________________________________________________________________

__________________________________________________________________________
The battery costs 90mAh. Marking VDL 032323, where 032323 is the dimensions of the battery in millimeters. Thickness - 3 mm, length - 23 mm, width - 23 mm. Manufactured, of course, in China by Shenzhen VDL Electronics Co.
In principle, the internal volume quite allows you to install a more capacious battery, however, I think this is quite enough.
The wires from the battery are apparently manually soldered, not very beautiful, but nevertheless, reliable.
__________________________________________________________________________

__________________________________________________________________________
Below is a small board with a power connector, a microphone and a pair of indicator LEDs. There are no holes for the LEDs in the case and they shine directly through the plastic of the case, since it is thin and fairly transparent.

__________________________________________________________________________
Such an indication looks somewhat sloppy.
Now back to the current strength indicated on the box. Let me remind you that the manufacturer indicated the current in standby mode 1 mA,in mode conversation 14 mA.
Measuring quantities that change at a very high frequency with a multimeter will initially result in very large errors. Yes, and my multimeter is not able to measure the average current strength for a specified period of time. But even so, the measurements I have taken indicate that the data provided by the manufacturer are true. Moreover, the standby current is less than 1 mA. What do we get from this? The numbers of autonomy are most likely somewhat overestimated. Talk time should be about 5-6 hours, and standby time about 150-170 hours. However, this autonomy is more than enough for most users. Or do you talk more than 5 hours a day on the phone?

Summary:
What did we get in total?
Nice, unusual and inexpensive device. Recommended for tablet owners and those who just talk on the phone for a long time. Still, this light, elegant tube is much more comfortable to hold in your hand.
Yes, and if you decide to purchase this headset, prepare some stupid answers to the question of what it is. For example, - "This is a miniature lie detector, it turns red and blinks with an LED if the interlocutor is lying."

Pros:
- the originality of the device;
-design;
-the weight;
-Protection against mobile phone radiation.
Minuses:
- non-standard charging plug;
- the location of the volume buttons;
- a slightly sloppy display.

Thanks to DNS and Qumo for providing a sample for testing.

Good day. Today we will not talk about a tablet, not a smartphone, and not even a phone. Although at first glance the bb-mobile micrON-4 is very similar to the latter, in fact it is not a mobile phone, but a Bluetooth headset made in the form of a phone. There is a logic in this step of the developers: I know that many people do not like to wear a wireless headset on their ear, while talking on large smartphones is also not comfortable for everyone. But there are also tablets with 3G modems that support voice communication... That's what bb-mobile micrON-4 is designed for - you seem to be talking on a regular mobile phone, which is noticeably more compact than the same Nokia 105, but the headset is connected to the head unit in your pocket or bag. And nothing is hanging on your ear at this time.

I emphasize once again that bb-mobile micrON-4 is not a phone. This is exactly a headset (accessory), so without a smartphone or tablet there will be no sense from it.

bb-mobile microON-4 and samsung galaxy S4

The four in the product name hints at the fact that three more models of this family were previously released. And there is. bb-mobile micrON and micrON-2 are also made in the form of small mobile phones, but micrON-3 resembled a plastic card - without a screen and keyboard. So the hero of this review is rather the successor of the micrON-2 model.

Specifications

Packaging and equipment

bb-mobile micrON-4 is sold in a blister, it looks like this:

http://cs614623.vk.me/v614623246/ae0d/8vpQiFT17o8.jpg

The kit includes a lanyard for wearing around the neck, a cable for charging from a computer's USB port (you will have to buy an outlet block separately), a warranty card and instructions.

Design and controls

The headset looks like a very small and fine phone or, if you like, a phone. The body is white with silver chrome inserts. The build quality is very high, bb-mobile micrON-4 is perceived as a monolithic bar. The headset weighs no more than 40 g, which is three to four times less than the average modern smartphone. It is also worth noting that micrON-4 is somewhat more compact than micrON-2: 92 x 35 x 8.7 mm instead of 104 x 38 x 12 mm.

I would not call the keyboard very comfortable - the buttons are located on a plastic plate and have a small stroke. If the keys were needed only to search for phones in the address book, then it would be fine. But bb-mobile micrON-4 allows you to write SMS - more on that below. In general, if you have dealt with some Motorola RAZR (a clamshell, not a smartphone), then you will understand what kind of keyboard this headset has. You can live, but you have to get used to it.

Nokia 105 and bb-mobile microON-4

The device control system is simple - it is about the same as many push-button phones. There are a couple of soft buttons, arrows "up" and "down", keys for receiving and rejecting calls. There is also a key with a note: in the menu, it duplicates the left soft button, opening sections and sub-items; if music is being played on the head unit, then this key will open access to the playback control interface. Switching between songs is done with buttons 1 and 3 on the keyboard, and key 2 pauses the music. bb-mobile micrON-4 can also act as a stereo Bluetooth headset - the device has a standard 3.5 mm jack for connecting almost any headphone.

Screen

Compared to the bb-mobile micrON-2, the display diagonal has grown from 1.1 to 1.44 inches. The technology has also changed - from OLED to TFT. At the same time, the display became color - in quality it is quite comparable with the screens of Nokia 105, Samsung Keystone 2 and other ultra-budget phones. The colors are pleasing to the eye, the image is more or less readable in the sun, although the viewing angles are small.

At work: what can bb-mobile micrON-4 do?

The following fact should immediately be noted: bb-mobile micrON-4 is intended primarily for Android devices. It is also compatible with iOS devices, but most of the functions will not work - you will get a regular Bluetooth headset. Meanwhile, bb-mobile micrON-4 is by no means an ordinary headset, which is proved by its capabilities in conjunction with Android.

So, after the first connection to a smartphone or tablet based on the Google operating system, bb-mobile micrON-4 downloads all contacts from there. It took about a minute to synchronize approximately 250 contacts, that is, this process does not take much time. The search for subscribers from the headset keyboard is supported, and we are talking about both Cyrillic and Latin. If the subscriber card in the smartphone has two numbers, then in the address book they will be displayed, for example, as "Kolya (1)" and "Kolya (2)". Well, I have only one complaint. On my smartphone, it is specified that contacts without phone numbers are not displayed at all: as a rule, numbers are not listed for postal addresses in Gmail, and I don’t need them in the phone book. So, in bb-mobile micrON-4, all contacts are shown in a row - both with and without phones. You can call, of course, only on those where the numbers are indicated. Meanwhile, it is not possible to hide contacts without numbers, which is somewhat frustrating.

The call log is also downloaded from a smartphone/tablet and displayed on the bb-mobile micrON-4 screen, so you can call the latest contacts without reaching head device from the pocket. At incoming call the headset plays the only melody recorded in its memory, which cannot be changed. At the same time, the smartphone / tablet also “sings”, but the ringtone that is set in it. bb-mobile micrON-4 has four incoming call notification modes: "sound", "vibration", "sound + vibration", "mute". Vibra is not the most powerful.

The most, in my opinion, the main innovation is as follows: bb-mobile micrON-4 allows you to exchange SMS and displays notifications from social network clients and other applications installed in the head unit. This is achieved using the BTNotification application, which must be downloaded from the bb-mobile website (there is a link in the instructions), installed on a smartphone or Tablet PC under Android control and activate in settings.

After installing the application, your messages appear in bb-mobile micrON-4. They can be read and answered using the headset keyboard. It is very convenient, especially in the case of a tablet with a 3G modem - it is usually too lazy to get it out of the bag.

In the settings of the BTNotification application, you can specify which applications can send notifications to the headset. For example, in the case of Instagram, the nickname of the person who liked you is displayed. And in the case of VKontakte, even the text of the personal. This feature is unique and makes bb-mobile micrON-4 related to Samsung Galaxy Gear watches, which cost 5-7 times more.

A few words about the interface and software options. It is made in the form of a carousel. It is curious that the bb-mobile micrON-4 has a stopwatch - a trifle, but nice. The headset also provides a Bluetooth communication disconnection notification function - it works if the head unit is 7-10 meters away from the Micron. In this case, the headset starts to howl quite loudly, so you will probably remember that you forgot your tablet or smartphone and come back for it. (It remains to be hoped that no one will steal it during this time.)

You will have to charge bb-mobile micrON-4 every 5-7 days. Although if you get a lot of personals / likes / letters, then the headset can be planted in 3-4 days.

Conclusion

In my opinion, it turned out to be an excellent product - both for myself and for a gift. Fortunately, the bb-mobile micrON-4 is not so expensive: about 2 thousand rubles. The body of the headset is neat, the screen is also good, the voice quality is decent, the design is nice. plus a few unique features there are ones that make her not even with Bluetooth “ears”, but with “smart watches”. So if you are tired of talking on a 5- or 6-inch smartphone or on a 7- or 8-inch tablet, then you can take it, such an accessory will definitely come in handy on the farm. bb-mobile micrON-4 also has disadvantages (see below), but positive sides many times more.

pros
+ Great design
+ High build quality
+ Ability to exchange SMS
+ Notification display options
+ Voice quality
+ Good screen
+ Stability
+ Competitive price

Minuses
- The keyboard will take some getting used to
- Shows all contacts in a row - both with and without phones

For a long time, only a wired headset was connected to a mobile phone. But in the mid-2000s, Bluetooth technology gained a lot of development. Mobile phones with its support have learned to transmit sound through the air. Headset manufacturers could not help but take advantage of this. The first models were inserted into one ear, and their main task was to free their hands while driving. But with further advances in technology bluetooth wireless the headset has acquired a second ear and support for the stereo effect. Of course, there are still mono headsets, as you will see by reading today's material.

Headset selection

On store shelves you can find great amount headphones for mobile phones. Some of them got at their disposal a microphone and the ability to connect wireless method. This makes them a full-fledged Bluetooth headset.

When choosing specific model should focus on its purpose. If you want to free your hands in the car, then you are quite satisfied with the "one-eared" copy. Its main advantage is longer battery life. Well, fans of listening to music should pay attention to stereo headsets, of which a lot has been released lately. It remains only to decide on the form factor, because there are large overhead and miniature plug-in devices.

You can read more about how to choose a wireless headset in our separate material. After that, you definitely won't have any questions.

Usually wireless headsets from Russian manufacturers after purchase only annoying. But the same cannot be said about the Defender FreeMotion B615. Yes, the device turned out to be quite heavy - its weight reaches 108 grams. And if it weren’t for the very low cost, it definitely wouldn’t have made it into our rating. The headphones here give out average sound quality, and the battery life reaches only four to five hours of talk time. LG HBS-500

  • Headset Format: stereo (plugs)
  • Wireless module version: Bluetooth 4.1

Price: from 3 390 rubles.

Externally, this gadget is very different from many other wireless headsets. The South Koreans provided their creation with an occipital bow. This made the device more reliable. It also gave the engineers a free hand, allowing them to add high-capacity batteries. With a weight of 29 grams, this headset can work in talk mode up to nine hours. One can only regret here the lack of support for serious sound enhancement technologies. But on the other hand, the cost of the device is by no means cosmic, which allows you to buy a bluetooth headset without any consequences for the budget.

  • Decent battery life;
  • Convenient design;
  • Not very heavy;
  • Such a headset is difficult to lose;

The flagship wireless headset from Electronics. The engineers tried to endow their creation with the support of the most different technologies, including A2DP and AVRCP. The headphones themselves are located on the occipital arch. This has two advantages: the device is difficult to lose and there was a place for a capacious battery on it. Talk time here reaches 16 hours. When listening to music, the duration of operation is reduced to 10 hours, but this is very good! The best Bluetooth headsets should work for a long time, and the LG HBS-910 is impossible to find fault with in this regard.

Flaws

  • Big sizes;

The screen size of an average smartphone today reaches 5 inches. Is it worth clarifying that not everyone is comfortable talking to such “giants”? Of course, you can buy a relatively compact device with a diagonal of 4-4.3 inches, and it will be much more convenient. Here are just the most functional smartphones (and many middle-class models too) are equipped with either 5-inch or even larger displays. Girls especially suffer from this: they also want a large functional smartphone, buy it, and then face the fact that it is not so easy to hold such a “colossus” at the ear for a long time.

The usual “ear” Bluetooth headset is, of course, a solution to the above problem, but I personally don’t like wearing a piece of plastic on my ear. I bought the first "ear with blue teeth" back in 2004 - it was some kind of model from Siemens. Then I periodically purchased Samsungs, Jabras and Motorolas, but I didn’t manage to “make friends” with any of them - it’s not convenient, annoying, I want to take it off and stuff like that ... Meanwhile, lately I need a wireless headset very sharp - I took the 5.7-inch Lexand Antares for long tests, which, due to its size, is uncomfortable to hold passion at the ear.

5.7" Lexand Antares

Recently I was visiting a friend and found this thing on his shelf:

This is the LG HBM-700 – it was sold under various names in the USA, South Korea and a number of other regions, but it was quite a long time ago, in the mid-2000s. The "friend" instance, alas, turned out to be inoperable - its battery "died" a couple of years ago. (This is normal for headsets; their batteries wear out much faster than in the same smartphones.)

Meanwhile, I really liked the LG HBM-700 concept itself - it is a kind of miniature “Bluetooth phone” with a screen and buttons that allows you to leave your smartphone in your pocket and talk on a much lighter and more compact “stick” with the ability to dial numbers.

I did a little “research” and found out that HTC has something similar - we are talking about the HTC Mini +, this is a headset, and a kind of remote control for smartphones and the HTC Media Link HD set-top box. Everything would be fine, but this splendor costs 4,500 rubles - in my opinion, a bit too much for a headset. And then: I'm not sure that it will work normally with non-HTC devices.

HTC Mini+

Another similar product was shown at IFA 2013 by TCL/Alcatel. But when it appears on sale, how much it will cost and whether it will work with models of other brands is an open question.

Next, I came across whole line Bluetooth headset of the Russian brand bb-mobile. He has three of these things: MicrON, MicrON-2 and MicrON-3. The first two resemble small mobile phones, and the third is just a rectangle with a speaker and control keys, that is, without a screen and number buttons. It so happened that it was the third version that I managed to get for the test - well, I’ll tell you about it, and at the same time compare it “in absentia” with the first two models.

bb-mobile microON

bb-mobile microON-2

Bb-mobile MicrON-3 comes in this package. The package includes a charger from a USB port, a lanyard for wearing around the neck and a couple of books - instructions and a warranty.

Two points: the first is that the blister scratches so well (although for 1,000 rubles this is forgivable). That is, "Mikron" is quite suitable for the role of a gift, but it may not work to find a package without a single scratch in the store. The second point is that with white versions of the headset there is a white lace, with black - black. In my opinion, white is not very practical: it quickly gets dirty, especially in the heat in summer.

There are four options for bb-mobile MicrON-3 - three white and black:

First and foremost, in bb-mobile MicrON-3, the developers have significantly simplified the concept. At first glance, this is an obvious disadvantage. For example, to make a call in the case of the two previous headsets, it was not necessary to get a smartphone out of your pocket or bag - the contacts from his address book were displayed on the screens of Mikronov. Meanwhile, with the help of bb-mobile MicrON-3, you can only receive calls, as well as dial the last dialed number (two quick presses on the middle button). For everything else, you will have to bring your “shovel” into the light of day.

However, if you dig deeper, it turns out the following: firstly, the third Mikron costs 1,000 rubles, the second - 2,000, the first - 1,500. Yes, in principle, 500-1,000 rubles is not gigantic money, but it is in the case buying a phone accessory, such savings are definitely pleasant. The second point is battery life: the bb-mobile website states that MicrON and MicrON-2 work on a single charge for no more than 7 hours. Meanwhile, my bb-mobile MicrON-3 lasted 9-plus hours (I specifically tested it in the “non-stop speech transmission” mode). Probably, the operating time was increased precisely due to the removal of "extra" components.

Motorola Finiti and bb-mobile MicroON-3

Actually, the “excess” was removed, but what is left? bb-mobile MicrON-3 is a thin (less than 7 millimeters) and light (30 grams) rectangle made of glossy plastic with a speaker, microphone and three "transparent" control buttons. The assembly is neat, the quality of materials is very even nothing. Also on the case there is a loop for a cord, a connector for a charger and a bb-mobile logo in which an LED is built-in, that's all. By the way, about charging: I would very, very much like to see MicroUSB here.

Using the keys, you can do the following: answer / reject / end calls, hold a call, switch between a pair of calls, adjust the speaker volume, switch a call from phone to headset and vice versa, turn on / off the microphone. In fact, there is no difference with most "ear" Bluetooth headsets. Well, except that multipoint bb-mobile MicrON-3 supports - but this function is far from unique in last years.

In the case of bb-mobile, MicrON-3 proved to be quite good - the quality of speech transmission / reception is high, there are no extra rustles. The melody, however, is not played from the smartphone, but another, recorded in the headset's memory. But this is the case with Android devices. I didn’t check it with iPhone, but the developers promise that in his case your ringtone will play.

The headset is also connected to the computer - I tested it with Skype, everything works like a clock.

Lexand Antares and bb-mobile MicrON-3

There is nothing more to talk about - the device is simple, but useful. Personally, I don't talk on the phone very much, and more often than not, I take calls rather than making calls myself. So the lack of a screen and keyboard in the bb-mobile MicrON-3 doesn't really bother me. For 1,000 rubles (compare with 4,500 in case of HTC Mini+) the product is worthy, we can recommend it. If you often call yourself, then you can look, for example, at bb-mobile MicrON-1 - it is devoid of all the minuses of the "troika".
