Detailed Internet settings byfly

This article will consider setting up the byfly Internet for wired access. It may be needed in such situations:

  • Just connected to the Internet byfly (informative article what is the Internet)
  • Reinstalled operating system Windows
  • Lost (deleted) connection
  • And other situations

First, make sure that the technical part is done.
So, we will assume that you have the necessary wires, the byfly service is fully completed and activated (you can check this by calling beltelecom with home phone on free number 123).

Including there is money on the balance sheet, because if there is a minus, accordingly, nothing will work. To verify this, call help desk Beltelecom at number 123 (free of charge from a home phone, paid from a mobile phone).

First, we still check if the main cables are connected, this is not long, but sometimes it saves a lot of time:

  1. The modem must be connected to a telephone cable.
  2. It must also be plugged into an outlet.
  3. From the modem must go network cable into the system unit, next to the entrance the light should be on or flashing
  4. This is, in general, all that is needed

Next, we recommend checking the connection between the computer and the modem - it's simple and fast

To do this, we go to the browser Internet Explorer(it is standard, it is always present in Windows), and the correct display in other browsers is not guaranteed, even more so, often some settings are not available in them. So, we use only Explorer.

To check the connection with the modem, we should go to it, this is done like this - in address bar Explorera we write the following numbers: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (sometimes they may differ, plus often they are written on the modem itself at the bottom).

I check on the Promsvyaz ZXV10 H208L modem in the article setting Promsvyaz H201L / H208L to mode - Router describes how it is configured. After entering the address, the login page appears.

In general, this is enough for us, because if this page has appeared (and not, for example, a record - the page was not found), then there is a connection with the modem and we just have to create a byfly connection. But, if you still need to go into the settings, then you need to enter the standard values \u200b\u200bhere, usually these are admin and admin (of course, if they have not been changed).

Although even if they have changed, then in order to return the standard admin and admin, you need to reset the settings to the factory settings, that is, reset them to the original ones. This is usually done by pressing the reset hole with a needle or something similar thin. As a result, after this check, we can set up the Internet.

Create a connection

We do it this way - go to the following path (in "windows 7", the article on how to speed up your computer describes how to speed up your PC):

  • Control Panel
  • Network and internet
  • Network Control Center
  • Setting up a new connection
  • In the window that opens, click "next"
  • Create a new connection

Now in the top line we write down the number of the contract byfly, these are numbers and we also add @beltel.by to them, as a result, you should write something like this there - [email protected]

The second line is the password, usually your home phone number, but if you changed it, then write down the one you changed it to.

If everything is done correctly, then you will see on the taskbar near the clock on the right high speed connection to internet byfly. Now you just need to click on it and select "connect". Next, a window will appear in which you need to click connect and everything should turn on the Internet.

Now you just have to launch the browser to visit sites and their pages. We recommend that you read the article on how to remove pop-up ads in Opera. Plus, of course, it is very important to have protection against viruses when entering the global network, you can read more about this in the article.

Having replaced the modem or connected to the services of a new operator, we are faced with the need wifi settings-connections. You can call the service technical support, or you can try to set up Wi-Fi on ByFly yourself, which we propose to do using our instructions.

A call to the Beltelecom technical support service (especially on weekday evenings) can be a very time-consuming event. For those 10-15 minutes that you are “hanging on the wire”, the long-awaited Wi-Fi can already be configured using our instructions.

1 Network card setup

After you have connected the modem to the network, and the PC to the modem using a network cable, you can proceed to configure the network card.

1.1.1 To set up network card in Windows 7, you need to click the "Start" button, go to the "Control Panel", and in the window that opens, select "Network and Internet" - "Network and Control Center public access».

1.1.2 In the new window, select "Change adapter settings". On the "Local Area Connection" label, click right click mice. In the dialog that opens, select "Properties".

1.1.4 In the line of the IP address, you must enter the values 192.168.1.2, if you use several computers to connect, then the numbers that you put in the last column in the line of the IP address should not match.

1.1.5 In the next line "Subnet mask" should be determined by itself. Its value is 255.255.255.0. The next line is "Main Gateway", enter 192.168.1.1.

1.1.6 It remains to enter the addresses of the DNS servers (depending on the place of residence). You can find them on the byfly.by website in the "For Clients" section. For Minsk and the Minsk region, enter 82.209.240.241 in the Preferred DNS server line, and 82.209.243.241 in the alternative DNS server line.

After all the fields are filled in, click "OK". In the previous window ("Local Area Connection - Properties") click "Close", also close the window with network connections.

1.2 Windows 8 and Windows 10

1.2.1 On the computer icon (at the bottom of the screen), right-click and select "Network and Sharing Center". Next (on the left side of the window), select "Change adapter settings", right-click on the shortcut "Ethernet" and click "Properties".

1.2.2 As in the case of setting up a network card in Windows 7, select the line Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP / IPv4) and click the "Properties" button. Next, fill in the fields in the window that opens. The data for this is in paragraphs 1.1.4-1.1.6 of our instructions.

1.2.3 After all the settings for the settings are entered, click the "OK" button and close the extra windows.

1.3.1 For Windows users XP setup is a bit different: "Start" - "Control Panel" - " Network connections". Next, right-click on the Local Area Connections shortcut and select Properties. In the "Components used by this connection" window, select the "TCP / IP Internet Protocol" item and click the "Properties" button.

1.3.3 After all the parameters are entered, click "OK" and close the previous windows.

2. Modem setup

The next step in setting wireless connection there will be a modem setup. Here, your actions may differ depending on the modem model that you received from the operator.

However, for any modem, the setup begins with a browser window, in which you must enter the address 192.168.1.1. Next, in the window that appears, enter the username and password (admin, admin) and click the "OK" button. And we find ourselves in a window with a modem interface.

When configuring most of the modems, the common thing is that the user needs to make settings in the connection menu (Wireless). The standard steps when setting up the modem will be to enter the network name (think up on your own) in the SSID line and the password to enter it (the line may be named Pre-Shared Key, passphrase).

For some models of Huawei modems, you must first click on the “Basic” button on the right side of the modem interface, and for some models, you must go to the WLAN tab. Often, Huawei modems need to be additionally transferred to the “Activated” mode. You need to come up with and enter a password that you will use to connect to Wi-Fi at your home or office. New modem settings must be saved (Save or Submit buttons).

AT ZTE modems to proceed to the connection settings, you may need to enter the Network - WLAN - Multi SSID Settings tab. Next, in ZTE modems, you need to check the “Enable SSID” line, and an arbitrary name of your network is written in the Name SSID line. After saving the settings (Submit button), you need to go to the security settings (Security button on the right side of the interface of ZTE modems from ByFly). In the WPA Passphrase line, delete default password and register our own, which we will use to connect to Wi-Fi. Save the settings (Submit button) and exit the modem interface (Logout button in the upper right browser window).

If you want to use Wi-Fi not only on mobile devices and laptops, but also on desktop computer using a Wi-Fi adapter, then you need to perform one more step to configure Wi-Fi.

Important for any OS. If the modem is in Bridge mode, then to connect to the network, you must additionally start a PPPoE connection with a login and password.

Almost every home now has several devices that require an Internet connection (computer, tablet, smartphone, laptop). To do this, it is very convenient to use wireless connections (wifi), for example, from ByFly. So, let's look at how to set up ByFly on wifi.

The first stage: connect the modem and configure it

First you need to connect a modem to the device, which will distribute the Internet. Then configure the network card on the computer itself. To do this, go to the Network and Control Center, then go to the Change adapter settings tab. We need a Wireless Network Connection and its properties.

We remove the checkbox opposite the Protocol number 6, and opposite the number 4, on the contrary, put it. The following window will open.

We register your IP address and DNS server (they are different in each region and city), as well as other parameters.

The second stage: set up on the wifi modem

Now you should configure the modem itself. To do this, open your browser and enter the address of your modem in the address bar. After that, you will have a window.

Enter the word admin in two fields. Click OK and the following window will open.

Now let's set up the connection. Find the Interface Setup tab, click on the Internet button.

Now we find Encapsulation and click on the PPPoA / PPPoE button. The next page will open.

Here you need the Username field, where you enter the contract [email protected]. Also enter a password.

Now, in the IP Address section, look at the Default Route button. It should be set to Yes. Now look at the Dynamic Route line, select RIP2-M. Click the SAVE button.

Now in the same tab, click on Wireless. Look at the PerSSID Switch setting. It must be activated. Then write the name of your network in the SSID line.

Also note the Encryption and Authentication Type lines. They show the security of the connection. Also enter the password in the Pre-Shared Key line. We save everything.

The third stage: set up wifi on a computer or laptop

Find in the "Start" "Control Panel", and in it "Network and Internet". Go to "Network and Sharing Center", open "Change adapter settings". Go to "Wireless" and click the "Connect" button on the name of your network. Enter your password and click OK. All is ready.

If you would like to connect to WiFi networks through the Beltelecom operator, then it is worth considering the fact that the connection is not the same as when connecting to a regular wireless internet. The algorithm of actions is almost the same: a person selects a wireless network from the list of proposed ones; then clicks on the “Connect” item, but unlike other WiFi networks, when connecting to Beltelecom, the password entry window does not appear. This is followed by several unsuccessful attempts to load web pages. And, ultimately, the user is convinced that there is no Internet on the device. Many habitually attribute to bad signal, but the only reason is the need to pay for the service provider.

What needs to be done to connect to the Beltelecom Wi-Fi network using a tablet?

1. Buy a special card in the Beltelocom service center (it resembles a bank card in size), which allows you to use WiFi. On its reverse side, your username and password will be hidden under a protective layer. Cards have their own face value: 60, 180, 600 minutes or 1, 3, 5 days.

Since the billing in the network is per minute, then Internet access is unlimited (there is no traffic limit). The countdown starts from the moment of connection and ends after disconnection. At reconnection counter is restarted.

2. To connect to the network, do the following:
- use a coin to remove the protective layer;
- activate Wi-Fi search on the tablet where BELTELECOM or byflyWIFI operates;

Log in to any browser and try to load some site. You will be automatically redirected to the login page by entering your username and password;
- enter the data on the back of the card into the appropriate fields. After that, you will be able to fully enjoy the Internet from the Beltelecom provider for the period of time indicated on the card.

3. It will be much easier for regular byfly subscribers to connect to the Internet. It is enough to use the login and password specified at the conclusion of the contract for the receipt of services. You can also clarify this information in the Beltelecom service center if it has been lost. It is only necessary to apply to the same address where the contract was directly concluded. After that, the authorization data must be entered in the browser by opening any web page (that is, perform the last three steps indicated above in paragraph 2).

If you want to become a Beltelecom client, just contact the nearest service center company or send an application with .

What should I do if the login page does not appear?

There are two reasons:
1. You are using a browser that does not have an automatic redirect (redirect) feature. Just open another browser.
2. Your gadget is trying to connect to another (private) wireless network. In the settings, select a public hotspot. They are usually installed in public places (cafes, clubs, restaurants, cinemas).

If your house (cottage, office, apartment, suburban housing) does not have the ability to deploy a cable system to connect to " world wide web”, or laying a network is not economically feasible, an ADSL modem with built-in Wi-FI is used to “go out into the world”. As you know, Wireless Fidelity is the world standard for equipment designed to organize wireless local networks operating in the broadband radio range. Benefits Wi-Fi modems is:

The ability to access the network at any access point;

Fully compatible with certified devices marked with the Wi-Fi logo;

Low level of radiation (compared to mobile) during operation;

100% user mobility.

The article describes how set up WiFi ByFly on the example of the Promsvyaz M-200A modem.

To configure the modem, you need to get to its web interface. To do this, in the address bar of your favorite browser, enter http://192.168.1.1, and press enter. If done correctly, the modem will prompt you for an administrator username and password. The default username and password is admin.

If the name and password request does not appear, you need to check whether the computer is connected to the modem correctly and whether it received an ip-address from it. To do this, in the properties of the wired network connection, in the properties of the TCP / IP protocol (Internet Protocol version 4 in Windows 7) should be automatic ip addresses. Network connections can be found: in Windows XP- Panel Controls-Network Connections, in Windows 7- Network and Sharing Center - Change adapter settings.

If even after that you cannot get to the modem's web interface at http://192.168.1.1/, you should try resetting the modem to factory settings. At the bottom of the modem case, find a small hole signed RESET or RESET and use a needle to hold down the button in the hole for 5-10 seconds and then release. The modem will reboot and its settings will return to the factory settings. It can also help if you have already configured the modem yourself and mistakenly changed some important parameters, as a result set up wifi byfly does not seem possible.

So, we got into the web interface of the modem. The modem menu is located at the top of the screen, below its settings, divided into blocks. To set up wifiyou need to go through 2 stages: 1st stage - setting up the modem in router mode, 2nd stage - setting up an access point (actually wifi).

Let's start setting up the modem in router mode. AT top menu presses alternately then below - Internet. In the Encapsulation block, set the ISP parameter to PPPoA / PPPoE, while the settings window should look like in the image. In the PPPoA / PPPoE settings block that appears, in the Username field, enter the username for connecting to the Internet, in the Password field - the password. This data can be found in the contract for the provision of Internet connection services. The Bridge Interface parameter is set to Activated, below the Default Route parameter is Yes. After changing the modem settings, you must save them. You can do this by clicking on the SAVE button at the bottom of the screen. This completes the modem setup in router mode, let's move on to setting up a WiFi access point.

Select from the top menu Interface Setup - Wireless. The window will take the form shown in the figure below. PerSSID switch parameter install on activated. This option will enable WiFi and it remains only to configure the parameters of our network. Parameter SSID is responsible for the name of our network, this name will be seen by all devices equipped with wifi module within range of your modem. Options Authentication Type and Encryption provide security for our WiFi networks, set them according to the picture. In field pre-shared key you need to create and enter a password to connect to wifi, it can consist of both Latin letters and numbers and must not be less than 8 characters. Clicking on a button SAVE with save current settings wifi.

Now you can disconnect the cable from the laptop and connect to the created network by entering the password.

So, if you independently managed the modem settings , You can access the network anywhere within the Wi-Fi coverage area. But if WiFi Byfly setup you are having difficulty, it is better to contact the services of the Reanimator company. In a matter of minutes, you will become the full owner mobile device, which will provide you with communication with the whole world.
