Apple wraps up WWDC 2016 with updates for everyone software products: watchOS, tvOS, macOS and iOS. us as a resource about mobile devices, primarily interested in iOS 10 and all the new chips and features announced by the company on stage. There are 10 key innovations, but in fact there are many more.

1. The lock screen is now smarter

The iPhone has learned what Motorola smartphones and more recently some Androids have been able to do for a long time, namely to wake up when picked up and show the latest notifications that you can immediately interact with. Lockscreen now scrolls left and right, switching different screens. One might have a music player on it, the other might have your upcoming to-do list. Extra notifications are cleared with 3D Touch.

2. Siri has become more accessible and advanced

In iOS 10, developers will have access to Siri, and this will allow her to send messages to any messengers, call any calling program, search for photos in any photo apps, and so on.

3. The keyboard has learned to understand the context

The QuickType feature in the native iOS keyboard will now not only predict words based on the context of the conversation, but also suggest certain actions using deep Siri integration. To the question "Where are you?", the keyboard will offer to immediately send the current geolocation. Or contact. Or a calendar event. And if you suddenly start writing with the same letters, but in a different language, the keyboard will understand this and allow you to type the text without errors.

4. Photo gallery goes to the next level

The signature photo gallery "Photo" has learned to recognize faces and objects on the set more deeply, automatically compose them into albums and create collections of memories from the latest travel photos and videos. Something similar has already happened to us in Sony smartphones Xperia, now it's in the iPhone by default and at the system level with more advanced recognition of everything and everything and putting it in a common trash.

5. Maps expand in all directions

The Maps app has been completely redesigned with support for extensions. You can, for example, order an Uber car directly from the application, keep track of booked restaurants and hotels. Maps have learned to better understand the user and lay out more successful routes based on your daily schedule.

6. Apple Music in a new style

The Apple Music app has also been completely rethought, becoming simpler, clearer and more useful. New sections and tabs appeared, navigation was simplified, and lyrics were added to the songs. Every day you will be accompanied by interactive music playlists and personal selections corresponding to the day of the week.

7. The news got better, but not for us.

The News app also received new design, has acquired a subscription function and hot news alerts, but this service does not work in Russia yet, so we are neither hot nor cold from these improvements.

8. Smart House to every house

iOS 10 introduced the Home app, the icing on the cake called HomeKit, a platform introduced two years ago. Now you can control all the smart accessories and appliances in your home from a native application on your iPhone, and Apple TV will act as a connecting hub here and help you turn on the lights or close the blinds remotely.

9. Phone calls new generation

The dialer built into iOS has learned to store voice mail and translate it into text, as well as automatically recognize intrusive advertising numbers for incoming calls and aggregate third-party IP telephony services.

10. iMessage went crazy

iMessage, the instant messaging service between iPhone users, has undergone the biggest change. Apple decided to make it more fun and interesting for different generations, so live interactive clouds appeared in iMessage, reacting differently to the context of messages, increased emoji sizes, replacing words in correspondence with emoji (it was already Sony Xperia), sending handwritten text and drawings, stickers, special effects. The service is open to third-party developers, so anything can now be added to iMessage. It remains only to open it for Android users, but that seems to have been saved for the next presentation.

Naturally, this is not all the innovations of iOS 10. Many built-in applications have been updated, Split View mode has appeared in Safari on the iPad, collaboration in Notes and editing Live Photos.
