Process clean Windows installation 10 to the computer from the boot DVD disc consists of several steps. Let's look at each of them and sequentially install Windows 10 on new computer. The process itself can be divided into two 2 stages:

  1. Preparing to install Windows 10;
  2. Direct installation of Windows from bootable media (from a DVD or USB flash drive).

Preparing to install Windows 10

Windows 10 system requirements

The first step is to check our computer for compliance with the Windows 10 system requirements, as well as hardware compatibility. To do this, I recommend visiting the official website of the computer component manufacturer and checking for the availability of drivers for the Windows 10 operating system. In order not to waste time, you can also download them for later installation.

So the minimum system requirements for Windows 10 the following:

  1. Processor: at least 1 GHz;
  2. RAM: 2 GB for 32-bit or 64-bit systems;
  3. Hard disk space: 16 GB (for 32-bit systems) or 20 GB (for 64-bit systems);
  4. Video adapter: DirectX versions 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver;
  5. Display: 800x600.

Windows 10 operating system image

In order to install Windows 10 on a computer, you need an image operating system(iso file, for example WINDOWS-10_RUS_64BIT.iso). Where can I get a Windows 10 image? Of course, find it on the Internet. There are many options to choose from - you can buy and download from the official Microsoft website, you can also search for images on other sites (torrent trackers for example). We assume that we have the iso file and it is official. Next, we burn the image to an empty DVD disc.

Preparing your computer for installation

Before starting the installation, you must also prepare the computer, namely, configure Computer BIOS. This is done so that the first thing to do is to boot the PC from the DVD.

To do this, after turning on the computer, press the F2 or DEL key, open the BIOS window, in which you need to find the BOOT item, where we set the device boot priorities. In our case, in the Boot Device Priority tab, we make the first CD-DVD ROM.

Next, move to the Exit item and, when prompted on the screen, press Y (YES) to save the changes made. This completes all the preparatory steps, you can start installing Windows 10 from the boot DVD we created!

The process of installing Windows 10 from a bootable DVD

Custom: Install Windows only (for experienced users). Since we are installing Windows 10 on a new computer (or on an empty HDD), then select the option "Custom";

The next question is - Where do you want to install Windows? To this question, I propose to create 100 GB for Windows systems 10, and use the remaining space as a user section (photo, video). Thus, by dividing the hard drive into 2 partitions, you can use the second partition of the disk to create archives and snapshots of Windows 10. And if something goes wrong during the operation of the computer, you can restore or reinstall Windows. Therefore, we create a 100 GB partition, select it and click the "Next" button;

Summary

In this article, I'll show you how you can prepare to install or reinstalling Windows 10 on your tablet or computer using the official OS images provided by Microsoft.

By following these steps, you agree to the following terms of use. When installing Windows 10, you will also need to accept the license agreement, otherwise you will have to abort the installation and remove the OS from your device.

Summary:

1) What is required to complete these steps.

2) Create bootable Windows 10 image media using the Media Creation Tool.

3) Create bootable Windows 10 image media using official images from the Microsoft website.

Note: before performing these operations on your device, you should contact technical support its manufacturer. It may use special images for your device, and you will not be able to properly install the system using "clean" images from Microsoft. Specify the possibility and legitimacy of using this manual.

Note 2: Enterprise/Education editions are not mentioned in this article, but most of the steps for installing these types of Windows 10 are the same as described in this article.

Details

What is required to complete these steps.

  • Internet connection (you will need to download from 4 to 7 GB of data).
  • Space on your computer/tablet to store downloaded files.
  • 8 GB flash drive or disk (in some cases 4 GB will be enough). You can also use SD cards (for example, it will be much more convenient for a tablet).
  • For tablets without a full USB port - USB-OTG adapter.
  • Operating system Windows 7 or later (Windows 10 recommended).

Make sure you have all of these.

Create bootable Windows 10 image media using the Media Creation Tool.

This method is the simplest and will work for most Windows users.

1) Download the Media Creation Tool and run it.

You can download the program from the official Microsoft website by clicking on the button Download tool now on this page . You can also use the direct link.

Run the downloaded file. The following window will open:

2) Read and accept the license agreement.

Review the license agreement. If you agree with it, which is necessary for the further operation of the program, click To accept.

3) Select "Create bootable media for another PC".

After some time (usually up to 1 minute), the program window will be updated and will look like this:

Click on the button Create bootable media for another PC. Then click Further.

4) Select the desired options for the Windows 10 you are about to install.

After the previous operations, a window will open where you will be prompted to select the parameters of the Windows you are installing. Initially, as you can see in the next screenshot, they are inactive.

In order to select the desired parameters manually, uncheck the box circled in the screenshot. She will be signed as Use the recommended settings for this computer.

Select the options you need. In the first drop-down list, select Windows language. In the second - edition. In the third - bit depth, 32-bit or 64-bit.

More about languages.

The language you select will be the default Windows language. The selected language also affects the region and time format, currency, etc. in Windows, as well as the available editions of Windows 10. In the standard editions of Windows 10 - Home (Home) or Professional (Pro) - you can change the language. However, I recommend that you initially choose the one you need.

More about editions.

The available editions depend on the language you select. There are 4 of them in total. If you are going to reinstall Windows on the current computer / tablet, you can leave this parameter unchanged - the program automatically selects what you need. Otherwise, you need to select exactly the edition for which you have purchased a license.

1) Windows 10. This edition is available for all languages. It includes Windows 10 Home (Home) and Professional (Pro). When you install Windows from such an image, you will be prompted to select the desired type of OS.

2) Windows 10 Home for one language (Home Single Language). This edition is also available for all languages.

3) Windows 10 N. This edition is available for a limited number of languages. There is no Russian or Ukrainian among them. It has a different set of built-in programs.

4) Windows 10 KN. This edition is only available for Korean.

Learn more about bit depth.

The bitness of the system directly depends on the architecture of the processor. It comes in two types - 32-bit and 64-bit. Moreover, you can install a 32-bit system on 64-bit processors, but you cannot install a 64-bit system on 32-bit processors.

If you are going to reinstall Windows on the current computer / tablet, I recommend leaving this setting unchanged. Otherwise, make sure that the processor of the device you need supports one or another bit depth. In addition, the manufacturer of this PC must provide drivers for this bit depth.

Moreover, please note that a 32-bit system will only work with 4 GB or less of RAM, even if you have 6 GB or more installed, and a 64-bit system should only be installed if you have more than 4 GB of RAM.

You can also select the "Both" option. In this case, when installing the OS, you can choose the bit depth you need.

After selecting the required options, click Further:

If you have changed any settings, you will receive a warning that for Windows activation, which you will install with this image may require a different license.

Click OK.

5) Choose to create bootable media based on the flash drive.

You will see a window asking where to write the system image. The program can simply download and save an ISO file on your computer for later use, or it can immediately write the system image to a flash drive. If you need to use a disk, I recommend using the instructions from part 2 of this article (creating bootable media using official images from the Microsoft website). In this part of the article, we will choose a flash drive.

Depending on the options you selected earlier, flash drives of different sizes will be needed. The required capacity is displayed right below the first item - "USB Flash Memory Devices".

Select 1st item - USB flash drive and press Further.

6) Insert the flash drive and select it in the program.

You will see a window with a list of all flash drives connected to the computer / tablet. If you plug in a new flash drive, you will need to press the button Update drive list for the program to detect it.

Insert the flash drive to which you will burn the image, update the disk list and select the appropriate device. Please note that this flash drive will be formatted. After that click Further.

7) Wait for the image to load.

After selecting the flash drive, the program will start downloading the image. During this time, you can freely use the computer.

8) After downloading, the process of checking the image will begin.

9) After that, the program will start writing the image to the flash drive.

10) Bootable flash drive is ready!

You can close the program.

Create a download media with a Windows 10 image using official images from the Microsoft website.

Suppose:

  • The Media Creation Tool does not work correctly for you;
  • You wanted to download the OS image yourself;
  • You want to burn the image to disk;
  • You want to burn an image of one of the Windows Insider Program builds to a disk or flash drive.

Then this guide will help you.

I note that this method works on all the most popular operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

1) Download the desired image from the Microsoft website.

1.1) You need an image of the official, stable Windows versions 10.

Go to the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO/. The site that opens should look like this:

It is possible that the browser redirects you to the site https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10. In this case, use it to still enter the site for downloading images.

Scroll down the page. You will see the following:

Here you are asked to select an edition of Windows 10. You can read more about editions in paragraph 4 of part 1 of this article. Open the dropdown list and select one of the 4 editions. After that press the button Confirm.

After a few seconds, the following drop-down list will appear. It asks you to select the Windows language. Scroll through the list and select Russian if you need Russian, Ukrainian if you need Ukrainian or any other language. Then press the button again Confirm.

After that, two buttons will appear in front of you, which contain download links. The first button is a link to download a 32-bit image, the second one is a link to download a 64-bit image. Read more about bit depth in paragraph 4 of part 1 of this article.

1.2) You need an image of one of pre-assemblies OS.

Go to the following site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewadvanced

If it says you're not an Insider, even though you are, try changing your Microsoft account name to something in Latin instead of Cyrillic.

The process of setting parameters and obtaining the corresponding link is similar to the process described in clause 1.1 of this part of this article. True, the Insider website is in English, but you can use a translator.

The only thing that will change is the available editions of Windows 10. Different builds, corporate editions, etc. will be available. However, for the majority, the Windows 10 Insider Preview edition will be required, which contains Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview and Windows 10 Home Insider Preview . These editions are activated by licenses from Windows 10 Professional and Windows 10 Home, respectively.

Also, not all languages available for the stable version of Windows 10 may be available!

2) Download Windows program USB/DVD Tool.

This program from Microsoft is designed to burn ISO images to flash drives or discs. You can download it from this page owned by Microsoft. Go to it and press the purple button Download on the right side of the site.

3) Install Windows USB/DVD Tool.

To do this, run the downloaded file.

Click Install("Install").

Click Finish("To complete").

Now the program is installed, its shortcut is on the desktop. It can also be found in the Start menu.

ATTENTION! During installation, the program may require you to install the system component - . NET Framework 2.0. Installation will most likely happen automatically, you just need to confirm the download and installation of this component.

4) Run the program and select the ISO file you downloaded earlier.

In the window that opens, click the gray button Browse(one). The File Explorer opens. Find and open the ISO file you downloaded earlier. Let him appear in line (2). Then press the green button Next (3).

5) Select the media on which you will write the image.

Click on the blue button USB device(1) if you will write the image to a flash drive, on the blue button DVD(2) if you will burn the image to disk or a gray button start over(3) if you selected the wrong image in the last step and want to return to the beginning of the burning process.

6) Insert the desired flash drive/disk to which you want to burn the image.

Select desired device in the dropdown list (1). If you have just inserted a disc/flash drive, press the blue button (2) to update the list of available devices. Then press the green button Begin copying("Start recording", 3). If you messed up something in the previous steps, the gray button start over(4) to return to the beginning of the process at your service.

7) Agree with the formatting of the flash drive if you are writing an image to it.

The flash drive must be formatted before the burning process. If it contains important information for you, copy it to a computer or other flash drive before the image burning process.

For formatting, press the button Erase USB Device. After that, another window pops up, "Are you sure you want to do this?". Click Yes("Yes").

The installation process should take you 5-10 minutes depending on your computer configurations and hard disk read/write speed.

By the way, in such images you can install not only Windows 10, but also any previous operating system, starting with Windows 7. The main thing is to do everything strictly according to the instructions.

I know it's been quite a while since Windows 10 came out, but still, better late than never, and that's why I decided to write a small guide on how to install Windows 10 from a USB flash drive or disk. We already have several articles on the site about how you can upgrade to Windows 10 using a notification upgrade or an installation utility from the Microsoft site.

Well, now I will show you how you can completely install Windows 10 from scratch using a bootable USB flash drive or a burnt disc. But, for starters, we will have to download the image and make the same installation USB flash drive with Windows 10 or burn the image to disk so that we can proceed with the installation. You can find how to burn an image to a disk or usb drive by clicking on the links that I provided above.

Well, if you already have everything, let's go directly to the process of installing Windows 10 on your computer.

Installing Windows 10

After inserting the installation USB flash drive into the computer, we boot from it using boot menu or by changing the boot priority in the BIOS.

After the computer starts, when prompted to start from the disk, do not forget to press any key on the keyboard in order to get into the Windows 10 setup menu.

It will take a few seconds to prepare for installation and a standard window for choosing the language and keyboard layout to be installed will appear. Here we select everything at our discretion and click "Next".

Since we do not want to restore the system, but install a new one, click on the "Install" button.

You will be prompted to enter a license key, if you have one - enter it and go to the next step, otherwise click on the line "I do not have a key."

We accept the license agreement. By the way, if you are interested in what Microsoft is spying on users, I recommend that you read this agreement as it is written there.

When choosing the type of installation, select the option "Custom: Install Windows only".

Now select the drive where Windows 10 will be installed, format it and select, move on.

The usual Windows 10 installation process will take place, which will take from 10 to 20 minutes.

After completion, the system will reboot and take a few minutes to prepare various devices and components.

Once loaded, we should choose to use default settings. If you wish, you can set all the settings manually, but I recommend doing this to more experienced PC users.

When asked who owns the computer, choose the second option.

Further, we can connect to the system using a Microsoft account, if you have one of course. Also, you can register it or make a local account. The way I usually use last option, I will show the configuration and installation of Windwos 10 using his example.

So, click on the "Skip this step" item.

It will again take a few minutes to prepare the system.

Well, in the end, the Winodws 10 desktop will appear in front of you.

Well, there is not much left for you to set up the system, optionally remove unnecessary applications and disable surveillance and install all the missing drivers.

Installing Windows 10 - overview, step by step, instructions, from disk, error

Software developers strive to simplify the installation process of their products as much as possible. This allows you to perform this procedure even for those users who do not have such skills. The main thing is to know certain information and stock up on an impressive amount of patience.

Main innovations

Each a new version operating system involves a whole list of innovations. The tenth edition is characterized by the following innovations:

Back in September 2014, the Technical Preview version became available for download. However, it is characterized by a sufficient number of bugs and errors. Thus, it fully confirms the status of "draft".

Relatively recently (in April 2015), an updated Insider Preview appeared. It fixes some bugs (for example, the appearance of a "black screen"). It is provided free of charge - on the Microsoft website there is a download link and keys.

Moreover, there is a unique opportunity - to upgrade the 7th or 8th generation OS to the 10th. This procedure is performed completely free of charge, the main thing is that Windows is licensed.

Important! Can't even update licensed version sevens or eights, but it will turn into a pirate ten. Therefore, it is easiest for users of pirates to download a full-fledged licensed version, because so far it is distributed free of charge.

Unfortunately, some users complain that activation regularly flies. The only way to fix this issue is to disable updates.

Video: Download and install

System Requirements

Oddly enough, the computer requirements for Windows 10 are practically the same as those for Windows 7 and 8.

However, it is worth describing them:

  1. dual-core process with a clock frequency of 1 GHz;
  2. RAM: at least 1 GB (32-bit) and from 2 GB (64-bit);
  3. free space on the hard drive at least 16 GB (for stable operation more may be needed)
  4. graphics card that supports DirectX 9;
  5. An Internet connection is required for activation.

Please note: if you are unsure about the performance of your PC, don't worry. Before starting the installation, the system diagnoses your equipment, and if it does not meet the requirements, a corresponding message will appear.

Preparing for installation

You can install the OS using a CD or a bootable USB flash drive. The first way is usually more reliable.

Creating a Disc with BurnAware Free

If you want to install from a disc, you must burn it in a certain way. The BurnAware utility will help us with this.

This procedure is carried out as follows:

A common error 0x80070570 can appear if the used disk is damaged. Therefore, you should only use new disk.

You can use other programs, for example, UltraISO or Nero. However, BurnAware is easy to use and "lightweight". Nero is very demanding on the system, besides it eats a lot RAM.

Windows 10 step by step installation

If you want to upgrade to Windows 10, the installation instructions will help you with this. Almost all procedures are automated. Therefore, the user requires a minimum of knowledge and skills.

Disk Boot Activation

To start the installation, you need to climb a little into the BIOS.

You will need to do the following:

The installation itself

In some cases, an error number 0x80070017 may appear.

If you are sure that there are no problems with the disk, you should pay attention to the following aspects:

Photo: start copying system files

OS setup

After installation is complete (depending on PC performance), you will be prompted to connect to available networks WiFi. Internet will be needed for activation, so connect it. If you have a wired or 3G internet connection, activation can be done later.

Then a window with settings will appear. You will be offered two options: automatic (Use express) or manual (Customize) settings. It is best to use the second option, since these options are suitable for most users.

If you want to do everything “for yourself”, then it will be possible to configure such aspects as:

  • enable/disable updates;
  • their frequency;
  • permission to send reports.

Then a window will appear in which you will need to enter account information. If you do not have it, you will have to register. For this you need to have e-mail box and Internet access.

The next window will ask you to set up your OneDrive storage. After that, click Next and after a while the desktop will appear in front of you. This means that the installation is complete.

Video: Overview of all new features

Driver installation

At the end you will need to install all required drivers. If you have the appropriate disc (issued when buying a PC), then simply insert it and follow the instructions.

In its absence, one can decide this problem in the following ways:

  • install driver manager. It requires an internet connection to work;
  • download a package with drivers;
  • search manually to each device. To do this, we will use the identification number (it can be found in the properties of the device). We insert this set of letters and numbers into the search engine. Next, we find a suitable option for our system.

It is worth noting that almost all drivers that are compatible with Windows 7 and 8 are also suitable for 10. Therefore, if you have them, write them to a disk or USB flash drive before starting the OS installation.

That's all. As you can see, the process of installing a new operating system is not that complicated. Remember that if you don’t like the “ten”, you can return to an earlier Windows at any time. To do this, you will need to insert a boot disk (or USB flash drive) and select the "update" item.

How to install Windows 10

operating room Microsoft system Windows 10 can be installed on a computer (laptop) from a DVD or installation flash drive. Read carefully detailed instructions, about a clean installation of Windows 10 through the BIOS. To install, we need a Windows 10 distribution kit on a DVD or on a USB flash drive. If you have already purchased a license disc or bootable USB flash drive from Microsoft, you can proceed with the installation right away, if not, you need to use the tools to create your own installation media using a USB flash drive or DVD. How to do it, read here- Download Windows 10 - The original image from Microsoft.

Attention! Before installing any edition of Windows 10, you should definitely take care of acquiring License Keys, and there should be no problems with activating the license. All cracks, activators and hacking programs, you use in violation of the license rules. Microsoft products are protected by copyright law. This means that the copyright holder retains exclusive rights to the software. In order to purchase the product, you must agree to the terms of the license (which results in a number of limited rights for the person acquiring the product) under which the software is distributed ("purchase a license")

1 - Before installing any operating system on a computer / laptop, it is important to know the basic rules - Three important steps before starting the installation of all versions of operating systems. 2 - Insert a disc into the DVD drive with Windows distribution 10 or prepared bootable flash drive in USB port. 3 - Go to BIOS. We read the instructions - How to enter the BIOS. 4 - Our task is that after rebooting, the computer does not boot from hard drive as usual, but from the boot device you are in this moment are using.

5 - The first window after downloading the Windows 10 installer (Fig. 1). You will need to select the installation language and system and click the "Next" button.

6 - Click the Install button to start Windows installation (Fig.2)

7 - Installation process (Fig.3)

8 - Enter the license Windows key 10 to activate (Fig.4)

9 - Read and accept the terms license agreement. We put a tick. (Fig.5)

10 - Choose the type of installation - Custom: Windows installation only (for advanced users). (Fig.6)

11 -The next step is to select the installation section. To install as in our example, you should remove all your partitions, one at a time. You will get Unallocated disk space (Fig. 7). You need to do this if you do not have the necessary information on your hard drive, or if you took care of it in advance and copied all necessary information(photos, documents, programs, etc.), for example, on a USB flash drive. And you can, of course, delete all partitions, except for drive D, where you have all your information, here you should already be guided by size, drive D, as a rule, is always larger. In order not to be mistaken, you need to remember the sizes of all disks before rearranging the system.

12- Let's take a look at our example. We mark the unallocated space on the disk (Fig. 8)

13- In our example, the entire volume of the hard disk is 100 Gigabytes with kopecks (Fig. 9), we mark in the Size area, approximately 60 Gigabytes (Fig. 9). This is quite enough for a Windows 10 system for a hard drive of the size we have. You may have a hard drive of a different size, but do not allocate less than 50-60 GB for partition C. If you have a HDD with a size of 500 or more gigabytes, the best option would be to allocate a partition for C - 90-100 GB. You don’t need it anymore, it’s not necessary, but you shouldn’t make exactly 25 GB either. This size is needed only for the system itself, and in addition to the system, you will install other programs you need on the C drive in the future, such as Office. Therefore, do not be stingy, and allocate at least 60 GB for the C-Disk. And allocate the remaining gigabytes for drive D.

Another option - In case you already have a system, just delete the first and second partition so that the 3-partition is left, which is drive-D. Deleted sections 1 and 2 are converted to unallocated space, then we select it, and without changing the values in the area - Size, click Create.

15- As you can see (Fig.11), we have created sections 1 and 2. Section 1 - Reserved by the system, and the Second section - this is our C drive, where we will install Windows 10.

16- You can also see the remaining unallocated space that we are allocating (Fig.12).

17- Without changing the values in the "Size" area, click "Create" (Fig. 13).

18- Section 3 is created (Fig.14). In the future, this is the partition of our drive-D. You can immediately format it, select it.

19- Click Format (Fig.15).

Installing Windows 10

It is important!

Please note that the new version of the operating system from Microsoft is a pre-release or Technical Preview software, which means that it has not been finalized, something will change and be added in the process.

Before installation

So, for installation, we need the downloaded Windows 10 image file ( ISO format) recorded on a DVD or USB flash drive.

If you're having trouble burning an image to media, you can check out the following articles:

Burning Windows 7 to a flash drive

Burning a Windows 7 image to disk Burning a Windows 10 image is done in a similar way. When the installation preparation is completed, and you have a Windows 10 media and a free partition for this, you need to restart your computer and enter the BIOS (usually using the DEL key). Next, you need to go to the section responsible for installing devices to boot the OS. So look for the FIRST BOOT DEVICE, BOOT or BOOT DEVICE menu. In this section, you need to install DVD drive(when installing from disc) or HDD disk(your flash drive).

After saving the changes (As a rule, you need to press F10, then Y), exit the BIOS.

If everything is done correctly, after the reboot you will see the following:

  • when using a DVD disc, you will see the inscription "Press any key to load from CD ..." (Press any key to load from a disc). You need to press any key immediately, because after a while (about 10 seconds) the boot will start from the next boot device installed in the BIOS.
  • if you used a flash drive, the installation will start immediately.
Remember that when installing an operating system, you must be careful and cautious about functions whose meaning you do not fully understand. You alone are responsible for the outcome of your actions. After that, the “Windows Setup” window should appear on the screen (Fig. 1). Here you need to select one of the four already available interface and keyboard languages (English American, English British, Simplified Chinese and Portuguese), as well as the time format.
Figure 1. Installing Windows 10: choosing the interface language and keyboard. After that, as shown in Figure 2, a window will appear with the “Install now” button, which must be clicked.

Figure 4. Installing Windows 10: Accept the terms of the agreement. After that, a window for selecting the installation type (Which type of installation do you want) will appear. As shown in Figure 5, you can choose one of the options:

Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, settings, and applications

This is an advanced installation of Windows 10 that keeps files, settings, and apps. All of the above will be available in Windows 10. Selecting this option is available only if the computer where you are installing is using the Windows operating system.

Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)

Custom installation (advanced) involves a complete installation of the Windows 10 operating system from scratch. In this guide, we are doing a full installation, so it is recommended to choose the second type, i.e. Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
Figure 5. Installing Windows 10: Selecting the type of installation. In Figure 6 you see a list of available partitions hard drives(in our case, this is the only disk on which the space is not marked).

Select the drive with unallocated space, and then click on the "New" button. We will have a field for entering the volume created partition on the unallocated area of the disk (Figure 7).

Click "Apply" (Confirm).

The installation wizard will inform you that for correct operation, a small partition of 350MB in size will be created, which will be used to store system files and settings (Fig. 7).

Figure 7. Installing Windows 10: creating a new partition. As a result, you see that two partitions have been created (Fig. 8):

The first one (350 MB) is for system operation.

The second (with a capacity of 24.7 GB) is the partition that will be formatted and where the system will be installed (the future C: drive). the installation may destroy the data you need by deleting or formatting the working partition, not the one you wanted to use for the system.

Greetings, friends.

Probably, every user of a computer or laptop has met with a situation where he understands that it is time to reinstall the operating system. This is due to the difficulties in work, common mistakes and other unpleasant things. But what if you do not have a USB drive, a plastic disk to burn the image, or the drive refuses to work? Don't worry. Today I will tell you how to install Windows from a hard drive. Many do not even suspect that such tools even exist.

It must be said right away that this option is only suitable for operating systems that are in working order, since many movements will need to be done using the shell. That is, if you suddenly have blue screen- this method will not help.

In addition, it is worth noting that this manual should only be used for future installations of Windows 7 and later. Moreover, it does not matter on which device the operation is performed. Therefore, Windows XP cannot be placed on a computer or laptop in this way. Because there are other mechanisms involved.

For the procedure itself, we need several tools:

    Imaging program - usually this DAEMON Tools. Personally, I generally use the built-in features of Win.

    Utility EasyBSD.

    The image of the operating system itself.

Step-by-step instruction( )

Important! It is desirable that up to this point your hard drive has already been divided into at least two partitions - for the system and files.

So, to install Windows 8 from the HDD, you need to follow a series of steps. First, create a separate partition for the installation files:

Now, to install Windows 10 or an earlier version, you need to properly prepare the files themselves:

Now it is necessary to do so, the computer understood where to boot from. This is exactly what an app is for. EasyBCD. The order of actions is as follows:

Suddenly, in some situation, something is not clear to you, you can just watch the video:

If you select "", you will see whether the entry has appeared or not. In your case, it should already be in place.

After the work done, close the application and restart the computer. This should bring up a menu where users can select desired system. Then specify the installation disk "". As a result, it should run standard procedure operating system installations.

Bootice( )

The last chain of actions can be performed through Bootice. The program allows you not to create additional disk, and installs everything from the existing one.

We do the following:

It is worth noting that it is not necessary to indicate exactly where the file responsible for the correct loading of the system is located, since the application will find it itself.

Installation( )

This method does not require setting boot options through BIOS, as is the case with using a plastic disk or USB drive. This approach is useful if suddenly the buttons on the keyboard do not work for you, allowing you to get to the right place.

In general, regardless of the version of the future OS, the process is almost the same.

It is important to remember that before starting the process, it is best to have one hard drive connected. This will simplify the partition selection process. In addition, the equipment will consume less resources, which in general will have a positive effect on performance. Therefore, you should not install the OS in this way on another hard drive. The same can be said about placement on an SSD. Of course, if each action is performed correctly, there should be no problems. But even with the slightest mistake, it is possible to lose all data on any of the partitions.

It should also be noted that this procedure can be external hard disk. True, for this it will still be necessary to start Win to set all the parameters. True, again, such procedures are not recommended, since by mistake you can simply delete the data.

In the case of using a plug-in device, you can set the boot setting from it in the BIOS, and simply place a new shell on a laptop or computer. True, for this it is necessary to correctly write the OS to the external component. More details can be.

In any case, regardless of the method chosen, everyone will be able to place a new one if Windows is already installed on the computer.

Well, I hope the article will help you deal with problems on your device.

In general, I would like to recommend in advance to find a compact portable USB device(today they cost minimal money) and write down correct system. Personally, I have three of these - for each latest version OS from Microsoft Corporation. Thus, I can insert a USB flash drive into the port at any second, and within two hours completely restore the computer's performance, while having a brand new shell.

I wish you good luck in your hard work! Subscribe and tell others about the blog.
