In order to install Windows 10 on a computer, you need an image operating system(iso file, for example WINDOWS-10_RUS_64BIT.iso). Where can I get a Windows 10 image? Of course, find it on the Internet. There are many options to choose from - you can buy and download from the official Microsoft website, you can also search for images on other sites (torrent trackers for example). We assume that we have the iso file and it is official. Next, we burn the image to an empty DVD disc.
Preparing your computer for installation
Before starting the installation, you must also prepare the computer, namely, configure Computer BIOS. This is done so that the first thing to do is to boot the PC from the DVD.
To do this, after turning on the computer, press the F2 or DEL key, open the BIOS window, in which you need to find the BOOT item, where we set the device boot priorities. In our case, in the Boot Device Priority tab, we make the first CD-DVD ROM.
Next, move to the Exit item and, when prompted on the screen, press Y (YES) to save the changes made. This completes all the preparatory steps, you can start installing Windows 10 from the boot DVD we created!

1) Download the Media Creation Tool and run it.

The available editions depend on the language you select. There are 4 of them in total. If you are going to reinstall Windows on the current computer / tablet, you can leave this parameter unchanged - the program automatically selects what you need. Otherwise, you need to select exactly the edition for which you have purchased a license.
1) Windows 10. This edition is available for all languages. It includes Windows 10 Home (Home) and Professional (Pro). When you install Windows from such an image, you will be prompted to select the desired type of OS.
2) Windows 10 Home for one language (Home Single Language). This edition is also available for all languages.
3) Windows 10 N. This edition is available for a limited number of languages. There is no Russian or Ukrainian among them. It has a different set of built-in programs.
4) Windows 10 KN. This edition is only available for Korean.

The bitness of the system directly depends on the architecture of the processor. It comes in two types - 32-bit and 64-bit. Moreover, you can install a 32-bit system on 64-bit processors, but you cannot install a 64-bit system on 32-bit processors.
If you are going to reinstall Windows on the current computer / tablet, I recommend leaving this setting unchanged. Otherwise, make sure that the processor of the device you need supports one or another bit depth. In addition, the manufacturer of this PC must provide drivers for this bit depth.
Moreover, please note that a 32-bit system will only work with 4 GB or less of RAM, even if you have 6 GB or more installed, and a 64-bit system should only be installed if you have more than 4 GB of RAM.
You can also select the "Both" option. In this case, when installing the OS, you can choose the bit depth you need.
After selecting the required options, click Further:
If you have changed any settings, you will receive a warning that for Windows activation, which you will install with this image may require a different license.
Click OK.
5) Choose to create bootable media based on the flash drive.
You will see a window asking where to write the system image. The program can simply download and save an ISO file on your computer for later use, or it can immediately write the system image to a flash drive. If you need to use a disk, I recommend using the instructions from part 2 of this article (creating bootable media using official images from the Microsoft website). In this part of the article, we will choose a flash drive.
Depending on the options you selected earlier, flash drives of different sizes will be needed. The required capacity is displayed right below the first item - "USB Flash Memory Devices".
Select 1st item - USB flash drive and press Further.
6) Insert the flash drive and select it in the program.
You will see a window with a list of all flash drives connected to the computer / tablet. If you plug in a new flash drive, you will need to press the button Update drive list for the program to detect it.
Insert the flash drive to which you will burn the image, update the disk list and select the appropriate device. Please note that this flash drive will be formatted. After that click Further.
7) Wait for the image to load.
After selecting the flash drive, the program will start downloading the image. During this time, you can freely use the computer.
8) After downloading, the process of checking the image will begin.
9) After that, the program will start writing the image to the flash drive.
10) Bootable flash drive is ready!

Suppose:
- The Media Creation Tool does not work correctly for you;

1) Download the desired image from the Microsoft website.

1.2) You need an image of one of pre-assemblies OS.

If it says you're not an Insider, even though you are, try changing your Microsoft account name to something in Latin instead of Cyrillic.
The process of setting parameters and obtaining the corresponding link is similar to the process described in clause 1.1 of this part of this article. True, the Insider website is in English, but you can use a translator.
The only thing that will change is the available editions of Windows 10. Different builds, corporate editions, etc. will be available. However, for the majority, the Windows 10 Insider Preview edition will be required, which contains Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview and Windows 10 Home Insider Preview . These editions are activated by licenses from Windows 10 Professional and Windows 10 Home, respectively.
Also, not all languages available for the stable version of Windows 10 may be available!
2) Download Windows program USB/DVD Tool.
This program from Microsoft is designed to burn ISO images to flash drives or discs. You can download it from this page owned by Microsoft. Go to it and press the purple button Download on the right side of the site.
3) Install Windows USB/DVD Tool.
To do this, run the downloaded file.
Click Install("Install").
Click Finish("To complete").
Now the program is installed, its shortcut is on the desktop. It can also be found in the Start menu.
ATTENTION! During installation, the program may require you to install the system component - . NET Framework 2.0. Installation will most likely happen automatically, you just need to confirm the download and installation of this component.
4) Run the program and select the ISO file you downloaded earlier.
In the window that opens, click the gray button Browse(one). The File Explorer opens. Find and open the ISO file you downloaded earlier. Let him appear in line (2). Then press the green button Next (3).
5) Select the media on which you will write the image.
Click on the blue button USB device(1) if you will write the image to a flash drive, on the blue button DVD(2) if you will burn the image to disk or a gray button start over(3) if you selected the wrong image in the last step and want to return to the beginning of the burning process.
6) Insert the desired flash drive/disk to which you want to burn the image.
Select desired device in the dropdown list (1). If you have just inserted a disc/flash drive, press the blue button (2) to update the list of available devices. Then press the green button Begin copying("Start recording", 3). If you messed up something in the previous steps, the gray button start over(4) to return to the beginning of the process at your service.
7) Agree with the formatting of the flash drive if you are writing an image to it.
The flash drive must be formatted before the burning process. If it contains important information for you, copy it to a computer or other flash drive before the image burning process.
For formatting, press the button Erase USB Device. After that, another window pops up, "Are you sure you want to do this?". Click Yes("Yes").
What will you need
ISO image of Windows 10. You can get it completely free and officially using the Media Creation Tool utility. You can read about how to do this in.
- Programs EasyBCD and UltraISO.
- At least 5 GB of free space on the system partition.
Instruction
1. Launch the Disk Management console. To do this, press the keyboard shortcut Win+R, enter diskmgmt.msc and click on the "OK" button.
2. Select system partition, click on it right click mouse and select Shrink Volume.
3. In the "Compressible space size" field, enter a value 6000
and click the Compress button. Please note that the partition must be compressed according to the size of the ISO file.
4. In the Disk Management window, you should have a new unallocated space. Right-click on it and select "Create Simple Volume".
5. In the wizard window that appears, click the Next button three times. In the "Format Partition" step, enter a name data in the Volume Label field. Then click on "Next" and "Finish".
6. In the "My Computer" section, a new empty volume with the previously specified name and volume of 5.86 GB should appear.
7. Copy the files from the ISO Windows image 10 to the newly created partition. If you have Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, you just need to double-click on the ISO file to mount it and access the files in it. If you have Windows 7, you need to install UltraISO program, run it, find the ISO image in its explorer, open it and copy all the files to a new volume.
8. Install and run the EasyBCD program.
9. In its window, select the "Add Entry" section.
10. Select the "WinPE" tab.
11. In the "Type" field, select "WIM Image (Ramdisk).
12. In the Name field, enter data.
13. Specify the path to boot image"boot.wim" of the new operating system. To do this, click on the icon with binoculars and a folder opposite the "Path" field, open the "data" volume, go to the "Sources" folder and select the "boot.wim" file.
14. In the "EasyBCD" application window, click on the "Add" button.
15. Go to the "Edit boot menu" section and click on the "Save" button.

17. On the operating system selection screen, select "data". This will launch the Windows 10 installer.
18. In case you want to perform a clean installation of the operating system, you will need to completely delete the system partition, create it again and format it so that there are no problems later. The installation process should take you 5-10 minutes depending on your computer configurations and hard disk read/write speed.

If you want to install from a disc, you must burn it in a certain way. The BurnAware utility will help us with this.

You can use other programs, for example, UltraISO or Nero. However, BurnAware is easy to use and "lightweight". Nero is very demanding on the system, besides it eats a lot RAM.

13- In our example, the entire volume of the hard disk is 100 Gigabytes with kopecks (Fig. 9), we mark in the Size area, approximately 60 Gigabytes (Fig. 9). This is quite enough for a Windows 10 system for a hard drive of the size we have. You may have a hard drive of a different size, but do not allocate less than 50-60 GB for partition C. If you have a HDD with a size of 500 or more gigabytes, the best option would be to allocate a partition for C - 90-100 GB. You don’t need it anymore, it’s not necessary, but you shouldn’t make exactly 25 GB either. This size is needed only for the system itself, and in addition to the system, you will install other programs you need on the C drive in the future, such as Office. Therefore, do not be stingy, and allocate at least 60 GB for the C-Disk. And allocate the remaining gigabytes for drive D.
Another option - In case you already have a system, just delete the first and second partition so that the 3-partition is left, which is drive-D. Deleted sections 1 and 2 are converted to unallocated space, then we select it, and without changing the values in the area - Size, click Create.

Installing Windows 10
It is important! Please note that the new version of the operating system from Microsoft is a pre-release or Technical Preview software, which means that it has not been finalized, something will change and be added in the process.
Before installation
So, for installation, we need the downloaded Windows 10 image file ( ISO format) recorded on a DVD or USB flash drive.

When the installation preparation is completed, and you have a Windows 10 media and a free partition for this, you need to restart your computer and enter the BIOS (usually using the DEL key). Next, you need to go to the section responsible for installing devices to boot the OS. So look for the FIRST BOOT DEVICE, BOOT or BOOT DEVICE menu. In this section, you need to install DVD drive(when installing from disc) or HDD disk(your flash drive).
After saving the changes (As a rule, you need to press F10, then Y), exit the BIOS.
If everything is done correctly, after the reboot you will see the following:
- when using a DVD disc, you will see the inscription "Press any key to load from CD ..." (Press any key to load from a disc). You need to press any key immediately, because after a while (about 10 seconds) the boot will start from the next boot device installed in the BIOS.
- if you used a flash drive, the installation will start immediately.

This is an advanced installation of Windows 10 that keeps files, settings, and apps. All of the above will be available in Windows 10. Selecting this option is available only if the computer where you are installing is using the Windows operating system.
Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)
Custom installation (advanced) involves a complete installation of the Windows 10 operating system from scratch. In this guide, we are doing a full installation, so it is recommended to choose the second type, i.e. Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).

Select the drive with unallocated space, and then click on the "New" button. We will have a field for entering the volume created partition on the unallocated area of the disk (Figure 7).
Click "Apply" (Confirm).
The installation wizard will inform you that for correct operation, a small partition of 350MB in size will be created, which will be used to store system files and settings (Fig. 7).

The second (with a capacity of 24.7 GB) is the partition that will be formatted and where the system will be installed (the future C: drive). the installation may destroy the data you need by deleting or formatting the working partition, not the one you wanted to use for the system.

After that, the installation of Windows 10 on your computer will begin (Fig. 9).

To complete the installation, you must restart your computer. It will be done automatically (Fig. 10).

The system rebooted, and in Figure 12 we see the prompt "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD ..." - Press any button to start from bootable media. Ignore this message, and after a few seconds, Windows 10 will start loading from the hard drive, followed by the completion of the installation of Windows 10 from the computer's hard drive. The next step is to set up your Microsoft account (Figure 14).

If you do not already have a Microsoft account, you can click "Create a new account" (Create a new account) or click "Next" and skip this step (Figure 15).

After signing in to your account, to protect your data, the installation wizard will ask you to enter a verification code and offer to send it to the same mailbox where you registered your Microsoft account. To confirm that this is your mailbox, you will need to enter its full name in the free field and click next (Fig. 16).
In addition, there is the option "I have a code" (I already have a code) and "I can" t do this right now "(I can not do this right now).

This is due to the difficulties in work, common mistakes and other unpleasant things. But what if you do not have a USB drive, a plastic disk to burn the image, or the drive refuses to work? Don't worry. Today I will tell you how to install Windows from a hard drive. Many do not even suspect that such tools even exist.
It must be said right away that this option is only suitable for operating systems that are in working order, since many movements will need to be done using the shell. That is, if you suddenly have blue screen- this method will not help.
In addition, it is worth noting that this manual should only be used for future installations of Windows 7 and later. Moreover, it does not matter on which device the operation is performed. Therefore, Windows XP cannot be placed on a computer or laptop in this way. Because there are other mechanisms involved.
For the procedure itself, we need several tools:

The same can be said about placement on an SSD. Of course, if each action is performed correctly, there should be no problems. But even with the slightest mistake, it is possible to lose all data on any of the partitions.
It should also be noted that this procedure can be external hard disk. True, for this it will still be necessary to start Win to set all the parameters. True, again, such procedures are not recommended, since by mistake you can simply delete the data.
In the case of using a plug-in device, you can set the boot setting from it in the BIOS, and simply place a new shell on a laptop or computer. True, for this it is necessary to correctly write the OS to the external component. More details can be.
